Motlow Men Split Weekend Games

The basketball season’s longest road trip will conclude on Saturday when the Motlow Bucks and Lady Bucks travel to Gallatin for a pair of contests against Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) rival Volunteer State. Tipoff for the women’s game is scheduled for 2 p.m., with the men to follow.
The Bucks (14-3, 7-2) are coming off a weekend trip to West Tennessee where they split a pair of conference games. On Friday, Motlow rode a career-high 24 points from sophomore Reggie Williams to a 114-97 win over Dyersburg State in Dyersburg.
The trip continued to Memphis on Saturday, where the No. 24-ranked Bucks ran into Southwest Tennessee, the nation’s eighth-ranked team. The Saluqis proved themselves to be worthy of their ranking with a 96-74 win over the Bucks.
Jaylen Barford led Motlow with 29 points, along with 14 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
