Former Motlow Lady Buck basketball player Chloe Neil recently announced she will continue her career as a student-athlete at West Georgia University in Carrollton, Ga., after graduating from Motlow May 9.
Neil came to Lynchburg in the fall of 2013 as a three-point shooting specialist from Tennessee High School in Bristol, where she earned all-district honors during her senior season.
She averaged eight points and three rebounds per game during her sophomore season at Motlow after averaging four points and 1.5 rebounds her freshman year.
Neil put her name into Motlow’s record book by connecting on six 3-pointers in her final game; a 71-65 loss to Roane State in the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association tournament on March 3. Only four players have hit more 3-pointers during a single game in Motlow women’s basketball history.
The West Georgia Wolves compete on the NCAA Division II level in the Gulf South Conference, where they went 19-11 overall and 13-9 in conference play during the 2014-15 season.
