The Motlow Bucks and Lady Bucks will play their first home games and their first conference games this weekend when they host both Columbia State and Jackson State at Copperweld Arena.
Friday night brings Columbia State to Copperweld Arena for a 6 p.m. tipoff. The Chargers and Lady Chargers are always highly-competitive in the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association. The Chargers are the defending TCCAA tournament champions.
The Chargers are 2-0 on the young season with a pair of lopsided victories under their belt. They have been very balanced, with seven players averaging at least six points per game. The Lady Chargers have dropped their first two games to quality opponents Faulkner State and Lawson State.
Saturday brings Jackson State to Moore County, with tipoff scheduled for 2 p.m. The Lady Generals won their opening game 72-61 over Mid-South Community College, while the Generals are 2-0 and have averaged 85 points in their two victories.
Admission to all Motlow College regular athletic contests is free and a fully-stocked concession stand is always open. Saturday’s contests will be broadcast on WHMT radio 105.1 FM in Tullahoma, as well as Tullahomaradio.com and LightTUBe channel 11. The video will be replayed on Tullahoma LightTUBe channel 23 next week.
