The Coffee County Middle School 6th grade basketball teams traveled to Harris on Tuesday night bringing home a pair of convincing wins. The Lady Raiders continue to pummel the opposition as they bested Harris 43 to 8. After 4 games, the Lady Raiders have scored an average of 41 points per game while giving up just 14. Bella Vinson scored 27 points for Coffee County and Keri Munn added 10 points. Coach Jamie Morgan rested most of her starters in the 2nd half, including the entire 4th quarter as 7 of the 11 Coffee Middle players had points in the win.
The Red Raiders evened their record at 2 and 2 as their defense held Harris to just 4 points in the first half in route to a 32 to 15 win. Jaxon Vaughn had 10 points to lead Coffee County while Kyle Farless and Trenton Scrivnor each notched 9 points.
The 6th grade cagers will host North Franklin on Thursday night beginning at 6:00 PM. They will follow that up with another home game on Friday night as they play host to South Franklin at the CCMS gym.
