Local Swimmers Break Records

swimmersThe Coffee County High School swim team had a great outing this past Friday at the Middle Tennessee Regional Swim Meet.
Daniel Larsen set new school and personal best times in the 100 yard backstroke finishing 11th overall; the highest finish of any CHS swimmer in the school history and in the 100 yard butterfly finishing 17th overall.
Kayce Scott, Lili Harris, Emily Warner, Emma Allen and Hayley Franklin finished with personal best in their events as well as setting new school records in the 200 and 400 yard relay.
Daniel Larsen moves on to compete in the High School State Championships in Knoxville Feb. 13-14 in the 100 Yard Backstroke and the 100 Yard Butterfly. This is Daniel’s record breaking third straight trip to the State Finals.

Also at the Middle Tennessee Middle School Swim Regionals, Jack Beachboard set new personal and school records in the 500 yard Freestyle coming in 3rd overall and in the 100 yard breaststroke coming in 6th overall.
Anna O’Connor set new personal and school records in the 500 yard Freestyle coming in 11th and in the butterfly coming in 13th overall.
Kaylee Williams set new personal and school records in the 100 yard breaststroke coming in 11th overall and a new personal best time in the 500 yard Freestyle coming in 13th.
