The Motlow College basketball teams were back in action on Saturday at they hosted Volunteer St in TCCAA games. In the women’s game, thanks to great defense Vol St held a 39-29 lead at halftime. In the 2nd half Lady Pioneer Ta’Keyha Flowers scored 27 of her game high 39 as Vol St picked up the 85-76 win. The Lady Bucks tried to keep it close by hitting 11 3-point shots but came up short. Former Coffee County Lady Raider Lauren Brown led Motlow with 22 points.

In men’s play, it was all Motlow from start to finish. The Bucks won the conference match-up 114-64. Motlow had 8 players hit double figures, led by D’Andre Downey’s 18.
The only bad thing that happen to Motlow was a fight broke out in the 2nd half. All-American DeQuan Miller was tossed from the game along with two Pioneer players. Miller will have to sit out the next game. The Lady Bucks and Bucks will travel to Cleveland St on Friday and Chattanooga St on Saturday.
