Brianna Jones threw her 5th no-hitter of the year on Thursday night in the District 8-AAA softball championship game, but it wasn’t enough to carry the Coffee County to a win as they fell to Tullahoma 2-1 in Tullahoma. The Lady Cats scored both runs on 3 Lady Raider errors.
Jones threw a no-hitter, striking out 13 batters and walking none.
Tullahoma’s Mo Edde got the win. She allowed one run over seven innings. She struck out six, walked one and surrendered four hits.
The Lady Raiders scored their only run in the third inning when Shelby Giles scored on one of four Tullahoma errors.
Coffee County will travel to Murfreesboro on Monday for Region 4-AAA action at Riverdale and you’ll hear the game live on Thunder Radio with a game time to be announced.
