By virtue of her commitment to excellence on the course and in the classroom, Martin Methodist Women’s Golf member Brittany Kriz, a former Coffee County golfer has been named to the 2014 NAIA Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete team
Kriz was one of 118 women’s golf student-athletes that were honored for their athletic and academic successes. The RedHawk golfer also received the honor last year.
Kriz who just graduated from Martin-Methodist is from Manchester. A four-year member of the program, Kriz helped grow a young Women’s Golf squad into a roster that featured eight members in 2013-14.
Academically, Kriz amassed a 3.73 GPA and graduated on May 3 with a degree in Biology.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
