The Coffee County Elementary Basketball League opened play on Saturday with all 12 teams in action. In the girl’s contests: College Street edged North Coffee 17 to 16; Hillsboro dropped Deerfield 26 to 6; New Union stopped East Coffee 16 to 4 and Westwood clipped Hickerson 33 to 3
In boy’s action: College Street beat North Coffee 49 to 11; Deerfield outlasted Hillsboro 18 to 10; New Union overcame East Coffee 28 to 7; and Westwood grounded Hickerson 26 to 4.
All 6 schools will be back in action on Saturday, November 1st with the following schedule:
Hickerson vs. East Coffee-Girls-10:00; Boys-11:00
Westwood vs. New Union-Girls-12:00; Boys-1:00
Deerfield vs. North Coffee-Girls-2:00; Boys-3:00
Hillsboro vs. College Street-Girls-4:00; Boys-5:00
