The Coffee County CHS boys Cross Country team finished 3rd out of 8 teams on Tuesday at Arrowhead Ranch in Normandy. The Red Raiders placed 3 runners in the top 10 led by Any Rossum who completed the 3.2 mile course in 20:30. Maxwell Nicoll and Scott Randolph crossed the line at 6th and 7th respectively. In the girl’s race, the 4 Coffee County runners did not qualify for the team competition, but the Top 2 runners finished in the Top 15 for the meet. Makenzie Morgan was a medalist as she finished in 9th place with a time of 27:27. Nadja Hansen finished in 14th at 28:40. The Raiders travel to Fayetteville on Tuesday to compete in a meet at Lincoln County High School. Also competing, in the middle school division, will be Westwood Middle. Both squads are tuning up for the MidState Meet at Smyrna along with the Region Championships which will take place in October.
