The Coffee County Middle School soccer team split a pair of makeup conference games in McMinnville on Friday. In the opening game, the Raiders got a hat trick from Drake Medina to drop the White County 5 to 1. Medina got goals in the 8th and 27th minutes while Chay Chumley added a goal in the 12th minute to stake the Red & Black to a 3 to 0 halftime lead. Briggs Haithcock added a goal in the 34th minute before Median added his 3rd goal at the 38 minute mark. Haithcock and Anakin Dillaha were credited with assists for Coffee County.
In the nightcap, Coffee County faced off against Warren County. The Pioneers got 3 goals quickly and took a 3 to 0 lead in at the half. Dillaha got the lone Raider goal 3 minutes into the second half, but the conference leading Pioneers posted an 8 to 1 win. With the split, Coffee County’s record stands at 4 and 3 on the season and 2 and 3 in conference play. The Raiders will host South Franklin on Monday for a 5:00 PM match
