The Region semifinals continues to be the glass ceiling for the Lady Raider volleyball team as they fell to Siegel in straight sets on Tuesday night. The Lady Raiders advanced to the Region 4AAA tournament with an upset of Lincoln County on Thursday night in the District 8AAA semifinals but another upset was not in the cards against the defending state semifinalists from Murfreesboro. The state power Lady Stars swept Coffee County by set scores of 25-10, 25-5 and 25-13.
Coffee County was led in kills by senior Aerial Williams with 5. Aerial, along with sister Alliyah Williams each finished the night with a block. Seniors Bailey Morgan, Baylee Nester and Kaylee Skipper each had a service ace. Morgan led Coffee County in assists with 7. Tyana Fenton led in digs with 8.
Following the match, Bailey Morgan was named to the All-Region 4AAA team. The Lady Raiders end the season with a record of 21 and 16 after their 5th straight region tournament appearance.
