The early season offensive struggles for the Coffee County CHS soccer team came to a resounding end on Saturday morning as the Red Raiders blanked Soddy Daisy 5 to 0 in the Cleveland Classic being played at Chattanooga Christian. Ernesto Gomez banged home an unassisted goal in the 15th minute to open up the onslaught. That goal was followed by a goal from Breyer Taylor in the 17th minute off an assist from Abelene Barrera. Paco Barrera and Sam Brown added first half goals to give the Red Raiders a 4 – 0 halftime as Gomez and Taylor respectively were credited with assists. John Parriger added a second half goal on a beautiful header off of a feed from Taylor to close out the scoring for Coffee County. The Raiders will travel to Murfreesboro on Tuesday to take on Blackman in a 7 PM non district contest.
