CHS Soccer Falls to Columbia

Welcoming Columbia to the Raider Soccer Field on Tuesday night, the Coffee County Central High School soccer team was hosting their final district home game of the year. After taking an early lead, the Red Raiders saw Columbia roar back with 3 goals in the 2^nd half to stun Coffee County 3 to 1.

Coffee County got on the board first with a goal in the 33^rd minute. Briggs Haithcock was able to convert a penalty kick and the Red Raiders carried that 3 to 1 lead into the half. Columbia evened the score early in the 2^nd half with the tying goal in the 41^st minute. The Lions added goals in the 58^th and 69^th minutes to capture the district win.

The Red Raiders return to the pitch on Tuesday when they travel to Winchester to take on Franklin County. That match will get underway at 7 PM.
