Paco Barerra had a goal and an assist and John Parigger was perfect in net as the Red Raider soccer team got a 3 to 0 win over Franklin County on Tuesday night at the Raider’s home pitch. Breyer Taylor started the scoring in the 11th minute as he redirected his own rebound, off a feed from Barrera to make the score 1 nil. Barrera got his goal in the 17th minute when he put his own rebound into the back of the net to give Coffee County the 2 goal lead at the half. In the second half, Coffee County was able to substitute freely as they dominated the possession. David Fernandez closed out the scoring off of a penalty kick in the 42nd minute as the Raiders improved to 2 and 0 in district play. Coffee County will welcome reigning district champion Columbia to Manchester on Thursday night for a HUGE district matchup and a rematch of last season’s district finals. That match will kick off at 7 PM.
