After losing a pair of heart-breaking decisions to Tullahoma last week, the Lady Raiders of Coffee County Middle School bounced back in a big way with a 7 to 5 defeat of the Lady Cats on Tuesday night in the 2nd round of the CTC softball tournament at CCMS.
Trailing 4 to 2 entering the 4th inning, the Lady Raiders hammered out 6 hits, including a pair of doubles, to plate 5 runs. Jayden Scheller and Kyla Craig each rapped RBI doubles in the 4th to break the 2 game losing streak to their arch rivals. Craig and Ashley Evans each had 2 hits to pace the Lady Raider attack.
With the win, the Lady Raiders improve to 21 and 5 on the year and advance to Friday’s winner’s bracket finals where they will take on Warren County at 5PM at CCMS.
