CCMS Basketball Splits with Warren County on Monday Night

Hitting the road on Monday night, the Coffee County Middle School traveled to McMinnville to take on rival Warren County. The Lady Raiders jumped on the Lady Pioneers early in a 46 to 28 win. The Red Raiders saw the Pioneers claw out a 31 to 26 win.
Jumping out to an 11 point lead after the first quarter, the Lady Raiders had no trouble in dispatching Warren County. Bella Vinson led the Lady Raiders in scoring with 17 points highlighted by a half court 3 point shot at the halftime buzzer. Marley Perry finished with 10 points while Kylie Phillips added 9 points.
In a nip and tuck boys’ game, the Red Raiders saw Warren County use a 25 to 9 advantage in free throw shots to help hold off Coffee County. Hayden Hullett led Coffee County in scoring with 8 points. Jaxon Vaughn added 7 points and Kyle Farless chipped in 6.
Coffee County will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Tullahoma to take on East Middle School. The girls’ game will tip off at 6 PM.
