A 2 run rally in the top of the 7th inning was not enough to keep the Coffee County Middle School Red Raider baseball season alive on Wednesday as North Franklin eliminated the Raiders 7 to 5 in the CTC baseball tournament at Warren County.  The elimination game was moved up to Wednesday night instead of Thursday night due to the fear of rain on Thursday.

Coffee County took leads of 1 to 0 in the top of the 1st and 3 to 1 in the top of the 3rd before North scored 6 unanswered runs in the 3rd and 4th innings to take the lead for good.

In the 7th inning, Coffee County loaded the bases with no one out as Blanton Brown led off with a walk, Hayden Skipper doubled him to 3rd base and North Franklin intentionally walked Brandon Jernigan.  Braxton White drove in Brown with a single before Skipper scored on an error but the Raiders were retired on a double play to end the game.

Skipper finished the game with 3 hits in 4 at bats and 2 runs scored.  Jernigan was 1 for 1 but reached base after being walked twice and hit by a pitch.  Brown was 1 for 2 with a pair of walks and scored 3 runs for Coffee County.   The Raiders finish the season with a mark of 9 wins and 9 losses.
