The Coffee County Middle School 6th grade teams swept a pair of games against Harris on Tuesday night. In the girls’ game, The Lady Raiders raced out to a 20 to 4 halftime lead as they defeated Harris 34 to 7. Leigha Insell led Coffee County in scoring with 8 points as 9 different Lady Raiders scored on the night. Olivia Evans added 6 points.
In a fast and physical boys’ game, the Red Raiders battled their way to an 18 to 5 halftime lead on their way to a 30 to 13 win over the Eagles. Joseph Duncan led the Raiders in scoring with 13 points. Aiden Abellana added 7 points while Conner Shemwell finished with 5 points. The Raiders and Lady Raiders return home on Thursday night as they welcome North Franklin to CCMS. The girls’ game tips off at 6.
