On Friday the Motlow College basketball teams traveled to Cleveland St. The Lady Bucks fought hard but dropped the conference game 62-55.
In men’s play Motlow was playing with only 5 players because of a 2-game suspension of 7 players because of an altercation that took place in a game a week earlier. The 5 players got the win for Coach Matt Sligh, 82-78. Clint Nwosuh led the Bucks with 28 and D’andre Downey had 20 and 17 rebounds.
Saturday in women’s action Chattanooga St held off a very determined Lady Bucks team for a 76-67 conference win. Jadah Fite led Motlow with 14.
In men’s play the Bucks, still playing with 5 players, led 32-23 at halftime. The Tigers used their bench to perfection using 11 players as all 11 scored as they put together a come from behind 81-73 win. It was the first loss for the Motlow men this season (7-1).
On Tuesday night Motlow will host Wallace St in a doubleheader beginning at 5:30pm.
