Sex Crimes Trial date set for Husband and Wife
A trial date has been set in Coffee County Circuit Court for a man and woman accused of trafficking for commercial sex acts (or prostitution.) Special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested Christopher Blake Hill, 32, of Nashville and his wife, Kasity Fults-Hill, 25, of Tullahoma July 2016 on the charges for transporting a juvenile to Florida for the purpose of commercial sex. Pipe Bomb Found at Woods Reservoir
On Friday, (March 24) a pipe bomb was found by a fisherman near the Franklin County boat dock located on Woods Reservoir. The scene was secured and evacuated by the Franklin County Sherriff’s office. The Tennessee Highway Patrol Special Operations Division Explosive Ordinance Disposal team arrived on scene at approximate 3:15 p.m. and confirmed the device was a pipe bomb, and planned to detonate the device in place. It has come to the attention that Duck River Electric Membership Corporation (DREMC) has become the victim of a spoofing attempt. An outside company, in this case, a credit card company, is using a DREMC number to portray that the cooperative is initiating the call; however, once the member answers, an automated system directs the member to various menus in an attempt to lower their credit card interest rate. Woman Attacked–Authorities needing your Help
Detectives with Bedford County Sheriff’s Office are requesting the public’s assistance in an on-going investigation. On Monday, March 20, 2017, a female was attacked in the area of Highway 82 South, near the bridge along the Duck River. Unemployment Down Slightly in Tennessee
Tennessee’s unemployment rate for February was 5.3 percent. It’s down slightly from the January rate of 5.4 percent.
