Three Carriers to continue offering Insurance through the Marketplace

All three carriers offering health insurance through the Federally Facilitated Marketplace in Tennessee have signed agreements to provide coverage next year. The Tennessee Department Commerce and Insurance says open enrollment will begin on Nov. 1. The agency plans to hold its annual public meeting with health insurance companies in Nashville on Thursday. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Cigna and Oscar Health are scheduled to present their coverage plans. Meth Lab Found Inside Car

A Tullahoma man was booked into the Coffee County Jail on meth charges after he was found slumped over the steering wheel of his car in the Wal-Mart Shopping Center on North Jackson Street in Tullahoma. Jeremy Alan Davis, 28, of Peachtree Street was charged with manufacture/delivery/sell of a controlled substance. Officer Jason Maloney filed a report that states that he found Davis slumped over in the driver’s seat and the window down. We have an update on State Rep. Judd Matheny’s proposed bill that he is having drafted to end pro sports incentives in Tennessee. Also, another state leader says he won’t attend any more Tennessee Titan games this season in the wake of the team’s snub of the National Anthem. Matheny, a Tullahoma republican said he has ordered legislation to be drafted and introduced to stop any and all future economic incentives to professional and amateur privately-owned sports teams in Tennessee. Groups Work to Track Hate Crimes in TN

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, there were 275 incidences of hate crimes against people or their personal property between 2015 and 2016, the most recent data available. But numerous reports from independent groups say hate crimes are on the rise. One such group, in partnership with at least 100 media outlets across the country, is working to collect the data. There was a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 24 that blocked traffic westbound for several hours and slowed traffic as well through Manchester on Tuesday. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by Wendell Rogers JR age 39 of Smyrna exited the interstate westbound into the Manchester Scales at mile-marker 116 apparently believing it was a rest area. Bus Crash Sends 12 to the Hospital in Warren County

A crash involving a school bus sent 12 fourth graders to the Emergency Room on Tuesday. Officials say the students from Hickory Creek Elementary School in Warren County were returning from a field trip to Bridgestone when the accident happened. Witnesses said the school bus was making a left turn from Bridgestone Drive on to Highway 55 when a car driven by Veronica Scott, which was westbound on 55, crashed into the side rear panel of the bus. Rape Charge Filed Against Hillsboro Man

A Hillsboro man is free on a $35,000 bond after he was arrested on charges of raping a Tullahoma woman. Cory Thomas Keeling, 25, of Amy Road, Hillsboro was arrested Sept. 22 in connection with an alleged rape that occurred on Ridgelawn Place in Tullahoma. According to a warrant obtained by Tullahoma Police Investigator Rana Pawlowski, on Sept. 13 a woman reported that her friend took Keeling to the victim’s residence.
