Recently, Hickerson Elementary was awarded the Tennessee STEM School Designation. This honor was developed with the guidance of the Tennessee Department of Education and the STEM Leadership Council to identify and recognize schools in their commitment to teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and integrating strategies that ultimately prepare for success in the 21st century. The Children’s Emergency Care Alliance EMS Star of Life event was held this week and it honors the accomplishments of emergency personnel across the state who provide outstanding lifesaving care to adult and pediatric patients. Tullahoma Farmer Named Tennessee Farmer of the Year
Jerry Ray of Tullahoma, Tennessee, started farming 45 years ago on just 45 acres that once belonged to his grandfather. Over the years he added 75 acres to his holdings, and the veteran of an occupation that is more calling than profession rented additional property and became steward to some 1,900 acres in Moore County. Juvenile Charged with 3 Counts of Burglary, 3 Counts of Theft and 4 Counts of Vandalism
A male juvenile from Manchester has been charged in three separate cases. The juvenile was arrested for burglarizing, theft and vandalism at three Manchester businesses; Jughead’z Juice and Quick Stop Tobacco both located on McArthur St and Manchester Tobacco and Beverage on the Hillsboro Blvd. Investigators Trey Adcock and Brandon Tomberlin with Manchester Police worked together to make the arrest. Wanted Man Arrested
Manchester Police have been searching for a wanted man by the name of Randall “Randy” Patrick Curtis. Curtis has numerous warrants for burglary and theft of property. Investigator Trey Adcock told WMSR News that earlier this week Curtis was arrested by Franklin Police in Simpson County, Kentucky. They charged Curtis with three counts of theft at Walmart in Franklin, KY, along with possession of methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
