Curious about what happened to the Love’s Truck Stop development that was to come to Coffee County off of Interstate-24 Exit 117? Well, it is still in the works as developers have submitted an application with the US Army Corps of Engineers regarding construction of the facility. The application is in regards to impacted wetlands. The developers have also been busy working to search for endangered species and a survey performed states than none were found. Manchester Rec Center announces holiday hours
The Manchester Recreation Center has announced its holiday hours for Christmas. The complex will be closed on December 24, 25 and 26. The facility will be open regular hours Dec. 27-29, but will have no classes, will have regular hours and classes on Dec. 30, will close at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, will be closed on New Year’s Day, and return to regular business and class on Jan. 2. Army major charged with child pornography
A U.S. Army Major assigned to the U.S. Army Cyber Command at Fort Gordon, Ga., has been charged with distribution of child pornography. Jason Michael Musgrove, 39, of Grovetown, was charged in U.S. District Court Monday morning in a federal criminal complaint, said Bobby L. Christine, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia. It is reported that Musgrove formerly lived in Manchester. Musgrove, who is an Integrated Threat Operations Officer with Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information clearance, is assigned to the Army Cyber Joint Headquarters at Fort Gordon.
