Suspect added to TBI most wanted list after killing of Shelbyville teen; reward offered
A 14-year old is dead after what police are calling a “senseless” killing. According to Shelbyville Police Department, a 14-year old teenager was shot and killed in the parking lot of Duck River Laundry shortly after 9 p.m. Monday night. Using surveillance video, Shelbyville police have identified the shooter as Horatio Lewis Rice. Police also identified a second individual of interest as Michael Anthony Caldwell, who has been located. Often-used scam tactics being used in Warren County, sheriff says
Warren County Sheriff’s Department officials are warning area residents of a phone scam making its way through the area – one that has often been used in Coffee County, as well. Authorities have received reports of someone calling and identifying themselves as a lieutenant or captain with the Warren County Sheriff’s Department. The scammer then tells the intended victim that there is a criminal matter or that the person has missed a court date. The intended victim is then instructed to get a verification code and pay fines. Car club donates to Manchester Police Angel Tree Program
The group Rural Legends hosted a car show at the old Southern Family Markets building on Saturday, Sept. 11, and raised money to donate to the Manchester Police Department Christmas Angel Tree program.
