Prior-learning assessments (PLAs) award college credit, certification, or advanced standing for non-academic experiences and training. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Statistical Analysis Center released two new publications, one detailing the volume and nature of hate crime in Tennessee, and the other detailing violence directed toward the state’s law enforcement officers. In nearby Shelbyville, Tennessee, a man accused of being involved in an Aggravated Assault case has been identified.
