Donald Clifton Weddington
Donald Clifton Weddington, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 at his home at the age of 69. Donald was born in Shelbyville to the late Clifton and Frances Darnell Weddington. During his life he worked in Waste Water Management with the Tullahoma Utility Board and attended the church of Christ at Cedar Lane. He was also the former owner, along with his Dad, of Oink, Cackle and Moo BBQ and competed in numerous BBQ competitions for many years. Donald loved watching golf and always enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets, especially in Florida. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and his cherished princess, Aurora. Donald also enjoyed making chocolate oatmeal cookies and giving them away as gifts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Autumn Lynne Weddington; and one brother, Howard Weddington. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Weddington; five daughters, Shollie Leath (Randy), Miranda Pendleton, Malia Weddington, Skyler Weddington, and Tina Forest (Tommy); grandchildren, Miranda, Jackson and Keegan Grubbs, Laars and Daegan Pendleton, and Kaleb Forest; his great-granddaughter and best friend, Aurora Peercy; one sister, Margie Powell (Don); sister-in-law, Rita Krantz; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bella. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27th, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00am-11:45am with a graveside service to immediately follow at 12:00pm at Hoover’s Grove Cemetery with Bro. Steven Hovater officiating. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation BBQ Relief, 22720 Joe Holt Parkway, Peculiar, MO 64078.

Robert Burnell Beare
Robert Burnell Beare, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 at his home at the age of 94. Mr. Beare was born in Ellis Grove, Illinois to the late Ernie and Ollie Eunice Fisher Beare. He served his country proudly in the Navy during World War II and went on to work as an Electrical Engineer with Maytag. Mr. Beare was also a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ernie Beare; and one sister, Bonnie Schoeppel. Mr. Beare is survived by his wife, Patsy Beare; two daughters, Terri Lyn Gray and her husband Ron, and Toni Lee Beare; six grandchildren, Casey Lee Houck and his wife Megan, Jessica Leigh Houck, Jason Lee Houck, Aaron P. Proffitt and his wife Claire, Robert Ryan Proffitt, Heather Lynn Sullenger, and Katherine Giguere and her husband Steve; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Landon, Greyson, Henleigh, Hadlee, Owen, Maya and Julian. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28th, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 10:00am-11:00am with the funeral service to immediately follow with Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Luella Gladys Wood Cope
Mrs. Luella Gladys Wood Cope, age 87, of Soddy Daisy, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020, in Hickson, TN.
Mrs. Cope was born in Battle Creek, MI, to her late parents Carl Wood and
Ethel Youtzy Wood. She was a lab technician at Post Cereals up until her
retirement. Mrs. Cope was a faithful member of Red Hill Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank
Wesley Cope.
Mrs. Cope is survived by sons, Frank (Susie) Cope Jr., Jeffrey (Lisa) Cope,
Timothy (Maria) Cope, and Mark Cope; daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Penney;
sisters, Joy J. Wetzel and Judy O’Brien; grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Josh,
Grace, Krista, Jenna, Angelica, Caleb, Sophia, Mark Jr., Aaron, Michael
Jr., and Frank; great grandchildren, Conner, Luke, Monroe, Archer,
Marshall, Dillon, Joslyn, Emma, Aiden, Ben, and Sam.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29, 2020, from 12 noon
until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services
will be conducted following the visitation Sunday at 2:00pm in the chapel
of Central Funeral Home with Ralph Hart officiating. Burial will follow in
Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN.

Glen Edward Trussell
Glen Edward Trussell of Winchester passed this life on Monday, November 23,
2020 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center at the age of 93. Graveside
services are scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 2 PM at Memorial
Park Cemetery in Winchester.
A native of Tracy City, he was the son of the late Oscar Clayton and Clara
Cope Trussell. He enjoyed farming, recycling, cooking and listening to
gospel music. He also enjoyed watching western shows and the Grand Old
Opry on TV. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Tullahoma and
loved going to church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Evyline
Trussell and Lenora Trussell; brother, Dewey Trussell and sisters, Isabella
and Mary Ruth Trussell, Omale Eldridge and Pearline McCullough.
Mr. Trussell is survived by sons, Charles E. Trussell of Estill Springs,
Glen Franklin Trussell of Monteagle and Billy Trussell of Winchester;
daughters, Margie Taylor of Tullahoma and Louise Poff of Winchester;
half-sister, Kay M. Fleming of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Charles
Leon and Marty Edward Trussell, both of Estill Springs and Roy Wayne Poff
of Winchester and four great grandchildren.

Linda Young Phillips
Linda Young Phillips, age 73, completed her battle with Alzheimer’s and
transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Linda
was a devoted wife of 53 years to her surviving husband, partner, and
caregiver, Dale Phillips. Linda loved Jesus and her family dearly. Born in
Nashville, TN, Linda lived the majority of her life in Tullahoma, TN, where
she graduated from Tullahoma High School (1965) and Motlow Community
College (1971). She worked at Grabers Department Store, United Guaranty
Bank, and Dillard’s. Linda loved being a mother and devoted herself
completely to raising her only daughter, Sarah Burris, of Cleveland, TN.
She welcomed her dearly loved son-in-law, Colby, into the family in 2009.
Linda found joy in many hobbies and interests throughout her lifetime. In
her younger years, Linda enjoyed deer hunting and waterskiing. She was a
talented seamstress and knitter; she loved cooking and baking, growing
flowers and birdwatching, and traveling. Linda never met a stranger and was
generous, compassionate, and loving toward everyone who crossed her path.
One of her greatest highlights in life was becoming a Mimi to her only
granddaughter, Lillie. The two were gifted nearly six years to make many
wonderful memories in Cleveland, TN, where Linda resided at home until her
passing.
After being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Linda participated in a drug study
at Vanderbilt Hospital to further research and progress in the field. She
also inspired many by walking in the Cleveland Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Her
team, “Mimi’s Memory Keepers,” raised over one thousand dollars for the
Alzheimer’s Association in 2018.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Young Prosser of
Shelbyville TN; her brother, Jerry Young of Fayetteville, TN; and her
father, Leroy Young of Fayetteville, TN.
Additionally, Linda is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and
Roger Matlock of Hillsboro, TN; two nieces, Mindy Milligan of Gulf Shores,
AL, and Lori Darden of Manchester, TN; and numerous cousins.
Due to COVID-19, the immediate family will hold a private burial. In lieu
of flowers, the family asks that you honor Linda with a memorial donation
to the Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer’s Center by visiting

The family would like to express a great debt of gratitude to Linda’s
primary care physician, Dr. John Peach, and neurologist, Dr. Lealani Mae Y.
Acosta, both of Vanderbilt, for preserving her quality of life for many

their tender love and care during Linda’s final days.

Jerry Lynn Gatlin
Jerry Lynn Gatlin passed this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the age of 80. A private graveside service will be held.
Mr. Gatlin, a native of Lincoln County, was the son of the late Robert and Gladys Vincent Gatlin. He served in the ministry as Pastor for at least 25 years; serving in churches such as Stony Point Church of Christ, Elora Church of Christ, Lexie Crossroads Church of Christ, and most recently at Antioch Church of Christ. He loved to talk to others and tell them his stories. He was an avid Alabama football fan and continued to watch and support the Lincoln County High School football team throughout his life. Mr. Gatlin had many hobbies and enjoyed basketball, softball, diving, fishing, and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Gatlin; sisters, Pauline Brice and Lucille Braden.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 59 years, Lou Gatlin of Fayetteville; daughters, Fran Beard (Phillip) of Fayetteville and Kristy George of Cincinnati; brother, Wendell Gatlin (Winnie) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Meghan Travis (Nick) of Fayetteville and HayLee Beard of Fayetteville; great grandchildren, BentLee Travis, Bailor Travis, and Rue Beard.

John Wayne Fults
Funeral services for Mr. John Wayne Fults, age 67, of Coffee County, will be conducted at 2:00PM on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Summitville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Fults passed from this life on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Centennial Medial Center in Nashville, TN.
John was born in Coffee County on April 28, 1953, the son of Porter and Katherine Fults. He was a United States Army veteran. John loved riding motorcycles and playing his guitar, but above all family was the most important thing to him. He was a loving father, son, brother, and grandfather.
John is preceded in death by two sons, John Wayne Fults, Jr. and Jeffery Elliot Fults. He is survived by his parents, Porter and Katherine Fults; life partner, Kathy Parrish; sons, Michael Barry Fults, Nicholas Everett Fults, Noah Patrick Fults, and Jason Parrish; sisters, Kathy Toombs and Deidra Scott; grandchildren, Anistin and Willow Grace.

Colin Kelly Bowers
Mr. Colin Kelly Bowers, age 77, of Manchester, TN, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Bowers was born in Kokomo, IN to his late parents, Harlan Virgil Bowers
and Maude Ann Frazier Bowers. He worked with the Chrysler Corporation for
many years as a tool and die machinist, where he was affectionately known
as “The Instigator”. Mr. Bowers had a wonderful sense of humor and loved
being a jokester. He enjoyed listening to regular and gospel bluegrass
music and was also a fantastic woodworker. Mr. Bowers also loved big
gardens and helping his wife tend to them. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Ostheimer; sisters, Barbara
Tipton, Thelma Jean Tusing, and Helen Wolfe; and brother, Harlan Bowers, Jr.
Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife Judy Marie Miller Bowers, Manchester,
TN; sons, Troy Bowers, Knoxville, TN, and Bill (Nancy) Fields, Indiana;
daughters, Kelly Bowers, Winchester, TN, Stacey (Jacob) Keedy, Woodbury,
TN, and Gail (Phillip) Perryman, Chapel Hill, TN; brothers, Danny Bowers,
Arkansas, and Ronnie Bowers, Indiana; sister, Frances of Indiana; 18
grandchildren which to some he was like a father; and 4 great grandchildren.

Jane Ann Mennenga
Jane Ann Mennenga passed this life on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the age of 74. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Iowa.
Mrs. Mennenga was born in Pueblo, Colorado to the late Wallace and Wilma Skov Gehrke. She was married to her husband, Herman, for approximately 46 years before his passing and was fond of the country drives they used to go on together. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, crocheting, and riding horses.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Mrs. Mennenga was preceded in death by her brother, James Gehrke.
She is survived by sons, Chris Mennenga (Jennifer) of Colorado and John Mennenga (Jennifer) of Iowa; daughter, Andrea Parrish (Pat) of Flintville; brothers, Wallace Gehrke (Sandy) of Texas, Richard Gehrke of Iowa, and John Gehrke (Jennette) of Iowa; sister, Kathy Lyman (Rick) of Iowa; grandchildren, James Mennenga (Ally) of Oregon, Tasha Walker (Charlie) of Tennessee, Kyle Mennenga of Arkansas, and Mia Mennenga of Iowa; great granddaughter, Harmony Stubblefield.

Allie Mae Buckner
Graveside services for Ms. Allie Mae Buckner, age 85, of Hillsboro, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Ms. Buckner passed from this life on Friday, November 20, 2020, at McArthur Manor in Manchester, TN.
Allie was born in Grundy County, TN on November 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Hubert and Hazel Hawk. She was a member of Prairie Planes Church of Christ. Allie worked over ten years at General Electric, retired in 2000 from Wagner, and worked over fifteen years for Central Funeral Home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her parents, Allie is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Finis Buckner; one son, Randy Buckner; brother, Denzil Hawk; two sisters, Sara Smith and Marie Barrett. She is survived by one son, Franklin Buckner (Tara); two grandchildren, Samantha Buckner and Kaitlyn Stout; nieces, Judy Smart, Kathy Monreal, Lindy Lorenzo, Teresa Heavilin, Diane Cronk, and Joann Hawk.
