Stephen Eugene Cody
Mr. Stephen Eugene Cody, age 73, of Hillsboro, TN, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, in Murfreesboro, TN.
Mr. Cody was born in Newport, TN, to his mother Minnie V Dukes Cody and
father Willard Franklin Cody. He was a heavy equipment operator for all his
life, most recently working for Universal Technologies. Mr. Cody was a
master heavy equipment operator and was the best in his field – he was the
first one to call for any sort of job requiring his skills. He also loved
listening to gospel music and loved helping people when he could. His other
passion was his three wheelers and dune buggies which he built on a regular
basis from scratch. Mr. Cody was full of life and will be missed dearly by
his family. He was also a member of Apostalic Church of Restoration Church.
Mr. Cody was preceded in death by father, Marlin Gipson.
Mr. Cody is survived by his mother, Minnie Cody; wife, Carolyn Elaine Adams
Cody; son, Eric Eugene Cody; daughters, Tracy Branch and Amanda (Quentin)
Horton; grandchildren, Tasha, Paul, Storm, Chris, Cheyenne, Chevy, Lexis,
and Hunter; and seven great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 26, 2020, from 4:00pm
until 7:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral service
will be conducted on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at 11:00am, in the chapel
of Central Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Ashley officiating. Burial will
immediately follow at Prairie Plains Methodist Cemetery in Hillsboro, TN.
Those service as active pallbearers are Eric Cody, Quentin Horton, Jack
Hill, Matt Hill, Ronnie Epley, and Devon Hill.

Anita Gail Darden Sons
Anita Gail Darden Sons was born in Coffee County, Tennessee on June 13, 1944 to Jack Darden and Lucille Coop Darden. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Dale Sons, eight brothers: Roy Darden, Tullahoma; Ray Darden (Jo Ann), Moore County; Ron Darden (Judy), Tullahoma; Don Darden (Dianna), Tullahoma; Glenn Darden (Peggy), Tullahoma; Richard Darden (Carol), Venice, Florida; John Darden (Vina), Manchester, Dan Darden (Teresa), Manchester. She is also survived by brothers in law Bobby Sons (Barbara) of Murfreesboro and Tony Sons, (Darlene)Tullahoma; nephews Anthony Sons, Scott Sons, Richie Sons, Chad Sons, Tommy Darden, Andy Darden, Matt Darden, John Rufus Darden, Vann Darden, Jack Darden, Greg Darden, David Darden, Steven Darden, and nieces Stephanie Greenwood, Joy White, Candice Darden Whitaker, Jennifer Hall, Emily Darden Kerr, Olivia Stockdell and several great nephews and great nieces. At 23 years of age, Gail was diagnosed with schizophrenia, a disease she fought for much of her adult life. Despite her illness, she always did special things for those she loved. She succumbed to cancer at the age of 76. Gail always looked after her brothers with the greatest of love and affection, and she was like a mother to her younger brothers, Glenn, Richard, John, and Dan. Even though she grew up in a houseful of boys, Gail could hold her own. Gail was a professing Christian, having been a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tullahoma for many years and of Raus Baptist Church. She had the gift of love and caring for others. Through all of her illnesses she relied on her husband, Dale, who was dedicated to caring for her. She had been a patient in Manchester Health Care Center for several years where her husband visited her at least twice each day. Her family would like to thank the staff of Manchester Health Care Center for providing excellent care during her illness. A graveside service for Mrs. Sons will take place Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00am at Maplewood Cemetery in Tullahoma.

Charles L. “Pops” Thomas
Charles L. “Pops” Thomas of Lynchburg passed this life on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville at the age of 81. Private services will be held.
Mr. Thomas, or “Pops” as many knew him, was the son of the late Ollie and Ethma Hise Thomas and lived in Lynchburg all of his life. He retired from Jack Daniels after working there for over 36 years and was a lifelong farmer who actively supported the Moore County 4H Club. Mr. Thomas was President of the Moore County Horseman Association and spent 25 years as a Tennessee Walking Horse Inspector. He was also a member of the Lynchburg Lions Club and was the only person on record to serve as a member for 50 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Morris “MeMa” Thomas; siblings, Bill (Nancy) Thomas, Ann (Hollis) Bolin, Glen (Betty) Thomas, Fred (Diane) Thomas; children, Chuck (Sherrie) Thomas, Clay (Sharon) Thomas, Clata Thomas; grandkids; Daniel Thomas, Erin Thomas, Katie Thomas; four great grandchildren.

*Theresa Dian Jernigan of Tullahoma passed this life on Monday, December
21, 2020 at Vanderbilt Hospital at the age of 68. Memorial Services are
scheduled for Sunday, January 3, 2020 at 3 PM at Concord Baptist Church.*
*A native of Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Billy Joe and
Charlotte Raney Finney. She retired from AEDC where she worked in
procurement. Mrs. Jernigan attended Concord Baptist Church and enjoyed
crocheting. She loved being with her family and enjoyed traveling to visit
out of state family members.*

Shirley Ann Harrelson
Harrelson, Shirley Ann, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, December 20th, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare Harton at the age of 80. Ann was born on December 29th, 1939 in Clinton, Tennessee to the late Clifton and Maude Martin Sweet. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James Harrelson; her daughters, Direnda Jarrell (Gary) and Denise Pegram (Alan) all of Tullahoma; five grandchildren, Clay Jarrell (Rebecca), Adam Jarrell (Baylee), Lauren Sulfridge (Justin), Quenton Kirby (Julie), and Garrett Pegram; three great-grandchildren, Parker Sulfridge, Madeline Jarrell and Austin Jarrell, as well as two more-great grandchildren that will be born within the next few months; one brother, Charles Sweet (Virginia) of Clinton, TN; and three sisters, Carolyn Page (Steve) of Clinton, Merelyn Young (Jim) of Claxton, TN, and Glenda Smith of Knoxville. Ann will forever be remembered for how deeply she loved and selflessly she cared for her family. “She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.” Proverbs 3:15. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27th, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating. Kathleen C. Lawson
Lawson, Kathleen C., of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, December 21st, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center at the age of 83. Kathleen was born in Huntland, Alabama to the late Jonas and Eva White Campbell. Kathleen loved her family and her church family. She loved to serve and was a dedicated volunteer at New Creation Church. She served on the cleaning team, the special events team, the drama team and the Sunday morning prep team. In the past, Kathleen was also heavily involved in the church choir. She loved to sew and was an avid bowler before her husband passed away. She also loved to work. For eighteen years she was an employee of Walmart in Tullahoma. For ten of those eighteen years, she was the department manager in Fabrics and Office Supplies. But the thrill of her heart was children. For the past ten years, Kathleen has been an employee of First Baptist Church Children’s Department. She kept children 3-4 times a week. These children, and others from her own church, were the highlight of her days. And there’s never been a child that met her, that didn’t love her dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Bug” Lawson; two children, Tresea Lawson and Jeff Lawson; six brothers and sisters and their spouses, Lester Campbell (Jo), Wendell Campbell (Jean), Marvelene Simmons (Doug), Nellie Winton (Avis), Joe Horace Campbell, and Ruth Marcom Mankin (Don); and her beloved cat Sissy. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Sheila Robertson and her husband Hubert of Lynchburg; two sisters, Sara Good of Pulaski, Wisconsin, and Juanita Campbell of Manchester; many nieces and nephews; and two sister-in-laws, Alice Lawson and Mary Jane Lawson both of Tullahoma. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27th, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28th, 2020 at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Don Burkhalter and Tim Totty officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Edith Terry
Graveside services for Mrs. Edith Terry, age 92, of Manchester, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Gilley Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Terry passed from this life on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at St. Thomas – Midtown in Nashville, TN.
Edith was born in Cannon County, TN on July 13, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Serene Sadler. Edith loved to travel. She was a gifted artist, and she was always willing to learn something new. Edith was also known for her cake decorating. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her parents, Edith is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Terry; daughter-in-law, Beverly Terry; brothers, Donald Sadler and Jesse Sadler. She is survived by her son, Frank Terry; brothers, Winford Sadler, James Sadler, and William Sadler; sister, Velma Mae; grandchildren, Keren Terry and Mark Terry.

Roger M. McGee
Roger M. McGee of Fayetteville passed this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 70. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, December 26 at 11:00AM at Stewart Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, Mr. McGee was the son of the late Marjorie McGee. He was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed traveling and working on his farm.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brothers, John Butler McGee and Tom McGee.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Bennie McGee; daughter, Cheryl McGee; grandchildren, Jesse Walker and Savannah McGee; great grandson, Bryant McGee.

Beverly Ann Baker of Manchester passed this life on Saturday, December 19,
2020 at her residence at the age of 60. No services are scheduled.
A native of Coffee County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Gooch
and Sara Reynolds Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by son, Jason Baker and brother Scott Carter.
She is survived by significant other, Timothy Brandon; daughters, Kelly
Baker, Betty Baker, Sarah Conner (Joshua) and Amanda James (Timmy);

Patty Jean Gadeken
Patty Jean Gadeken of Tullahoma passed this life on Monday, December 21,
2020 at Tennova Harton Hospital at the age of 84. Graveside Services are
scheduled for Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 3 PM at Rose Hill Memorial
Gardens. The family will receive friends at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home
on Saturday, December 26 from 1:30 – 2:30 PM.
A native of Champaign, IL, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and
Fannie Carr Jeffers. She was the Manager of the Fabric Department for
Walmart for many years and a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Tullahoma. She enjoyed teaching ceramics at the Senior Citizen Center in
Tullahoma and completing needle work projects. She also enjoyed flower
gardening, but her favorite times were spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Walles Gadeken; son, David Gadeken and brother Harold Jeffers.
She is survived by sons, Edward Gadeken (Mary) of Lincoln County, Michael
Gadeken of Murfreesboro and Jeffrey Gadeken (Donna) of Tolono, IL;
daughters, Pamela Sanford and Peggy Morris, both of Tullahoma; brother
James Jeffers of Champagne, IL; ten grandchildren and numerous great
grandchildren.
