Howard Herbert Clutter

Howard Herbert Clutter, age 80, of Manchester, Tennessee, beloved husband of Helen, passed from this life December 30, 2020.

Born in Washington, Pennsylvania to Robert D. and Mollie (Harrer) Clutter.  Mr. Clutter graduated high school from Tombstone Union High School, Tombstone, Arizona and went on to receive his B.A. from David Lipscomb College in 1963 and later completed his Master of Business Administration Degree from Wright State University in 1972.

Mr. Clutter served in the United States Army as First Lieutenant Field Artillery, First Calvary Division in the Vietnam conflict; and was awarded The Purple Heart Medal during his service.

Mr. Clutter was an Industrial Engineer with Standard Register for many years until his entrepreneurial spirit led he and his wife, Helen to purchase and operate the Sweetwater KOA Campground. After selling their own campground, they worked for KOA Corporate, traveling the country as campground inspectors.

Mr. Clutter was a longtime ham-radio operator. He was delighted when his son and daughter-in-law purchased WMSR-Thunder Radio. He and Helen moved to Manchester in 2006 so that Howard could “play” radio station with his son. Mr. Clutter was the host of the “Swap n Shop” program on WMSR-Thunder Radio until the time of his death.

In his spare time, Mr. Clutter loved restoring old cars produced by the American Motors Corporation; often with his son and grandson (Eli). He was honored to drive Mayors’ Superstein and Pennington in City parades in his bright red 1966 Rambler Rogue Convertible.

Finding that he had a commitment to help provide safe, low-income housing for the citizens of Manchester, Mr. Clutter was in his second term as a Commissioner on the Board of the Manchester Housing Authority. He was instrumental in the current Oakdale Street grant project.

Mr. Clutter was an active Kiwanian since 1988. Serving Kiwanis in several positions over the years, including Secretary, President and Lt. Governor.

A wonderful Christian man, he served as Deacon, lead bible class, helped in many projects and was devoted to his congregation at the Red Hill Church of Christ.

Mr. Clutter is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Connie Clutter Laurence.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Helen, son, Rob (Tiffany) Clutter, grandchildren Mollie (Sean) Metts, Alex (Beka Candore) Oates, Eli Clutter, Andie Mae Clutter and Hudson Clutter. Great-grandchild, Norah Metts.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, January 5, 2021, 11 AM-1 PM at Central Funeral Home in Manchester. Funeral to held immediately following in the Central Funeral Home Chapel at 1 PM. The family understands that in this strange time of Covid, you may not be able to attend in-person. Your prayers and love are felt from any distance and greatly appreciated. Bobbie Ruth Melton

A graveside service for Mrs. Bobbie Ruth Melton, age 89, of Tullahoma, will be conducted on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bryan Huffer officiating. Mrs. Melton passed from this life on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Bailey Manor in Winchester.
Bobbie was born in Bedford county on November 19, 1931, to the late Thomas and Laura Lyda. She attended Trinity Christian Fellowship and previously taught Sunday school for many years at the Dechard Church of God. Bobbie and her husband owned 3-Way Market for many years. She loved to write poems and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay Melton. She is survived by one sister, Juanita Perry and a host of nieces and nephews.

Harriett Diane Petty

Funeral services for Ms. Harriett Diane Petty, age76 of Manchester, will be
conducted on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 1 PM in the Manchester Funeral
Home chapel with Bro. Dana Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the
Wesley Chapel cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday,
January 1 from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home and from 11 AM until time of
service on Saturday. Ms. Petty passed away on Tuesday at Bailey Manor in
Manchester.

Ms. Petty was born on December 11, 1944, in Viola, TN to the late Louie
Brown and Doris Mae Stone Fry. She volunteered at the Arts Center in
Manchester and attended the First United Methodist Church in Manchester.
Ms. Petty loved all animals, tame and wild, especially cats. Ms. Petty was
a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Petty is preceded in death by her husband,
James Albert Petty; brothers, Ronald, David and Neil Fry; great
granddaughter, Renli Jo Reynolds. She is survived by her sons, John David
Toliver and his wife, Mary, and Jason Petty and his wife, Hope;
grandchildren, Kaitlin Gevedon, Kali Conner, Krysten Toliver, Kamryn
Toliver, Loralei Petty, and James Petty; great grandchildren, Kylan Conner,
Millie Conner, Landry Gevedon, Baker Reynolds, and Dawson Reynolds; sister,
Sharon Bailey; nieces, Karen Fry, Sharla Hoffman; nephew, Randy Bailey.

 The family would like to thank the staff of Bailey Manor for their loving
and compassionate care of their mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests that donations be made to
the Coffee County Humane Society. The family also stresses the wearing of
masks and social distancing during your time at the funeral home.

Autry Ferrell

Manchester, Tennessee – Mr. Autry Ferrell, age 80, of Hillsboro, TN, passed
from this life Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Ferrell was born in Manchester, TN, to his late parents Franklin and
Ollie Jacobs Ferrell. He was a faithful member of the Church of God of
Prophecy in Tullahoma, TN. He had many hobbies and interests in his free
time including riding his motorcycle, yard work, old cars, and he very much
enjoyed taking care of his mini farms. Mr. Ferrell loved travelling and
loved spending time with his family. He was a veteran of the United States
Army and after retiring from the Army, he was a full time minister. Mr.
Ferrell loved his family dearly and will be very missed. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Kevin Ray Ferrell; multiple
brothers and sisters.

Mr. Ferrell is survived by his wife of 58 years, Christina Ferrell; sons,
Michael Ferrell, Autry Ray “Tiny” Ferrell, Ruben (Trisha) Ferrell, and
Brandon Ferrell; daughter, Boniquica Ferrell; brothers, Gary (Jean) Ferrell
and Larry (Sherrill) Ferrell; sister, Ophelia Jones; grandchildren,
Christina, Sonya, Dillen, Jason & Nicole, Vickie  & Jessie, David, Josh,
Ben, Elizabeth (Anthony), Alexis, and Paityn; great grandchildren, Branson,
Coy, Carter, and Allisa.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 1, 2021, from 10:00am until
11:30am at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. A Celebration of Life
service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 11:30am
with Bro. Prickett officiating.

Donald Ray Evans

Donald Ray Evans of Mulberry passed this life on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center at the age of 74. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 2 at 1:00PM at Lois Cemetery.


Mr. Evans, a native of Moore County, was the son of the late Claude and Mary Grammer Evans. He served our country as a Marine in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He is remembered not only as a Serviceman, but as a gentleman. He had a gentle touch a tender heart. Mr. Evans also had a heart for animals and was kind to everyone, giving more than he ever took. He loved his God and served him daily, knowing where his ultimate home was. His wife, Dolly, was the love of his life. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly, raising his children with a firm hand, but also with love. He was their “Mr. Fix-it” and was always there to console his children when they needed a pick-me-up. He taught his girls about cars, how to work, and the importance of being independent. He wanted them to always know that there was nothing that they couldn’t do. He had a wonderful sense of humor and when he smiled, it was always genuine. Mr. Evans kept the community entertained by the sound of racing engines, race cars, and motorcycles. He enjoyed being outside on his tractor and in the woods.

“Until we see you again, we will hold to the Man you were and what sacrifices you gave. Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and your love.”
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Dolly Evans; daughters, Angela Fay Weddington (Jason) of Mulberry and Pamela Sue Bryson (Stewart) of Marietta; sister, Wanda Fay Evans of Lynchburg; aunt, Margie Grammer of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Allyssa Hope Hannah (Zachary) of Charity, Faith Evans Weddington of Mulberry and fiancé, Tyler Simmons of Lincoln County, William West Bryson of Marietta, Oliver Stewart Bryson of Marietta; good friends, Larry Hatfield (Nancy) of Mulberry, Gerald Hinkle (Patty) of Lynchburg.

Terry Lee Wiser

Funeral services for Terry Lee “Pie Face” Wiser, age 63 of Beechgrove, will
be conducted at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Manchester Funeral Home with Brother Danny Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the
Ragsdale cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday,
December 29 from 5 – 9 PM at the funeral home. Terry passed away on
December 23 at his home after an extended illness.

Terry was born on August 14, 1957, to the late Howard and Ruth West Wiser
in Manchester. He attended the Bell Buckle Baptist Church and worked in
construction for Dennis Haddock. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his
dog, Bo, playing with kids, and playing music.

In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his brothers,
Tommy Chris Wiser and Jimmy Austin Wiser, and sister, Demetria Allen. He is
survived by his children, Gregory Lee Wiser and his wife, Robin, Mitchell
Austin Wiser and his wife, Shannon, Bradly Ray Meadows and his wife,
Brittany, Christopher Lawrence, Jessie Foster, Leeann Trail, Kayla Hill and
her husband, Cody; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandson; brother,
Donnie Wiser (Lucinda Depenhart); sisters, Bobbie Cox and  her husband,
Tommy, and Bridgett Wiser (Glenn Espy); special friends, Scott Simpson,
Ronnie and Tina May, Steve and Deborah May, and Tammy Ellis;  several
nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of friends.

Edgar “Eddie” Lee Fletcher

*Funeral services for Mr. Edgar “Eddie” Lee Fletcher will be conducted on
Sunday, December 27, 2020, at 2 PM at the Pocahontas Church of Christ with
Charles Williams and Ed Crook Shank officiating. Burial will follow in the
Fletcher cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at Manchester
Funeral Home on Saturday, December 26 from 4 – 8 PM and also from 12 Noon
until time of service Sunday at the church. Mr. Fletcher passed away on
Wednesday, December 23 at St. Thomas Riverpark in McMinnville after an
extended illness.*

*“Eddie” was born on January 6, 1940, in Manchester to the late John W. and
Lucille Scott Fletcher. He was a mechanic for the Coffee County Highway
Department and an elder of the Pocahontas Church of Christ. He loved
tractor pulling and his family built the first pulling sled in the
Manchester area in 1975. He also enjoyed playing music, especially at the
Senior Citizen Center, and was the lead member of the Eddie Fletcher and
the Tennessee Walkers in the ‘70s. But his greatest joy was spending time
with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.*

*In addition to his parents, Eddie is preceded in death by his brothers,
Rondall and Phillip Fletcher; sister, Gloria Bush; great grandson, Cooper
Ramsey; grandson-in-law, Spencer Wayne. He is survived by his loving wife
of 60 years, Beatrice Markum Fletcher; son, Douglas Fletcher and his wife,
Sheila; daughters, Kim Ford and her husband, Mark, and Pam Fitzpatrick and
her husband, Pat; brother, Johnny Fletcher and his wife, Pat; sister,
Brenda Anderson and her husband, Marlin; grandchildren; Jason Ford and his
wife, Candice, Cheetah Wayne, Jessica Bryson and her husband, Joe, Gwenn
Ramsey and her husband, Jason; great grandchildren, Kenzee and Jon Mark

Brenda Gale Lockhart Farless

Manchester, Tennessee – Mrs. Brenda Gale Lockhart Farless, age 68, of
Tullahoma, TN, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in
Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Farless was born in Hopkinsville, KY, to her late
father Don Robert Lockhart and mother Elizabeth Ann Cary Lockhart. She was
a printer at Wisco Envelope in Tullahoma and also a member of the Tullahoma
First Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Farless loved her family and her
grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was fun-loving and was a sweet,
genuine person. Mrs. Farless loved everybody and was always willing to help
anyone in need. She found much joy in spoiling her dog Peyton. Mrs. Farless
was lovingly known by her grandchildren as “Gran Gran” and “Granny.” In
addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Stacey Lee
Floyd. Mrs. Farless is survived by her husband of 24 years, Tony Farless;
mother, Elizabeth Lockhart; son, Brian (Dawn) McCall; daughter, Melissa
(Tim) Wilson; sisters, Patricia (Jeff) Stewart and Donna Foster;
grandchildren, Olivia, Matthew, Tori, Austin, Faith, Kael, Savannah,
Keegan, Michael, and Ava; great grandchildren, Hadlee, Brittion, Matthew,

Donald York

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Donald York, age 68, of Beechgrove, will be conducted from 1:00 until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.  Mr. York passed from this life on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at St. Thomas – Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN.

Donald was born in Chattanooga, TN, on January 7, 1952, the son of the late William and Linnie York.  He was a supervisor at AEDC for many years.  Donald loved fishing, hunting, and going metal detecting.  He enjoyed taking trips to the beach and had an amazing sense of humor.  He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Kay York; one son, John York (Jennifer); three daughters, Jenny Armstrong (Donnie), Samantha Moore (Matt) and Amelia Whiting; one sister, Barbara Bullard; four grandchildren, Stone York, Tanner York, Lacey York, and Gavin Coker.
