Claud Alfred “Buddy” Chellstorp

Claud Alfred “Buddy” Chellstorp, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, May 26 th , 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. Buddy was born on February 12, 1943 to Claus and Ruth Chellstorp in Fairfield, Alabama. He grew up in Birmingham, along with his sister, Gladys Chellstorp Dunn. He attended Columbia Military Academy in Columbia, TN and later served in the United States Air Force and worked for Lockheed Aircraft and LSI Inc. in aircraft technical support. Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Diane Crump Chellstorp and has three children, Melissa Byars, Janet (Jeff) Wooten, and Chad (Chelsea) Chellstorp; six grandchildren, Keith and Hunter (Lesley) Byars, Jarrett and Jenna Wooten, Forrest and Chase Chellstorp; and one great-granddaughter, Brynlie Byars; one sister, Gladys Dunn; special niece and nephew, Kathy Peters and David Dunn; as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Roy Dunn. He and his family moved to Coffee County in 1972. Buddy early on became an entrepreneur, starting Communications Specialist (a two-way radio enterprise), Coffee County Answering Service, was instrumental in building and managing the TV Cable system in Manchester, and was a member of the Coffee County Sherriff’s Department. He also started A1 Paging, and was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Tullahoma. Buddy became a ham radio operator and was a member of the Ham Radio Club. His call number was W4KTK. Buddy was a board member of the Tullahoma Airport Authority, the Treis County Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the noon Tullahoma Rotary Club. He was also an avid aviator with a strong passion for flying. Buddy was honored to be invited to accompany German captains in the cockpit of German Lufthansa Airlines while on a family trip to Germany. Buddy holds an FAA Commercial Multi Engine Instrument Pilot Rating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5 th , 2021 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 12:00pm-2:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Rickey Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Buddy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Dale Durham

Dale Durham, of Springfield, passed this life on Friday, May 14 th , 2021 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 71. Dale was born on April 26 th , 1950 in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Murphy Dale and Arizona Branch Durham. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and retired after 28 years of dedicated service. Dale was also the owner and operator of S & A Satelite and Sound. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, all Tennessee sports, and reading about military history. Dale also enjoyed playing his guitars and had played in several bands throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Arizona Durham; and one grandson, Kyler Wayne Barber. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Frank Felts Durham of Springfield; one son, Murphy Durham and his wife Carolyn of Springfield; one daughter, Brandi Barber of Springfield; one brother, Michael Durham and his wife Patricia of Tullahoma; one sister, Gena Brasier and her husband Steve of Tullahoma; four granddaughters, Kaelyn Barber, Brynlee Barber, Addilyn Barber, and Katey Hall; and his two beloved fur-babies, Bowser and Banjo. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5 th , 2021 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00pm. Freeda A. Keeton

Freeda A. Keeton of Tullahoma passed this life on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at
St. Thomas Rutherford at the age of 79. Funeral Services are scheduled for
Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial
to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends
from 1 – 2 PM.

Mrs. Keeton, a native of Coffee County, was the daughter of the late Howard
and Eunice Anderton Hanley.  She attended the Ministry of Hope Church in
Tullahoma and enjoyed shopping and fishing.  She had a “Big Heart” and was
always available to help others.  She had a great sense of humor and was
always playing jokes on others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Bryan Keeton;
brothers, Billy Wayne Anderton, Kenneth Hanley and Steve Hanley and sister,
Brenda Parton.

Mrs. Keeton is survived by her husband, Carl Keeton Jr. of Tullahoma; son,
Joseph Keeton of Tullahoma; daughter, Vickie Keeton of Tullahoma; brothers,
Jimmy Hanley (Debbie) of Franklin County and Jack Hanley of Tullahoma;
grandson, Jeremy Keeton (Sabrina) of Morrison and great grandchildren, Vera
and Jerrick.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in
his honor to the Coffee County Humane Society, P O Box 252, Manchester, TN
37349.

Marie Lynn Daniel

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Lynn Daniel, age 63 of Manchester, will be conducted at 5:00PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Manchester Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until the time of services at the funeral home.  Mrs. Daniel passed from this life surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at her residence in Manchester.

Marie was born in Saltsburg, PA on September 10, 1957, the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Libengood.  Marie enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping and fishing.  She loved being with her family more than anything though.  Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, Marie is also preceded in death by her son, Ray Rollins Jr.; grandson, Jaxton Pinegar; sister, Mona Bell.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Oscar Daniel; two sons, Brian Rollins and Tyler Daniel; one daughter, Raelynn Keith; one brother, Sam Libengood; one sister, Sherry Hilbert; four grandchildren, Makaye Keith, Nautika Keith, Ky’Mani Overton, and Cayden Rollins; one great-granddaughter, Aurora Keith.

Kimberly Rochelle Johnson

Kimberly Rochelle Johnson, daughter of Ted Johnson and Anna Johnson of
Tullahoma passed into the arms of her Lord on Monday May 24, at her
residence in Nashville. Known as ‘Kim’ by family and friends,

she died from heart failure as a result of treatments for a brain tumor.

Born in Tullahoma on June 22, 1973, Kim graduated from Tullahoma High
School. She attended Belmont University and graduated with a bachelor’s
degree in finance. Before her illness, Kim was employed by the General
Board of Discipleship as a marketing and social media manager.

Kim was preceded in death by paternal grandparents John and Iola Johnson of
Manchester and maternal grandparents A.J. and Regenia Reese of Tullahoma.
In addition to her parents she is survived by several aunts, one uncle and
several cousins.

While in high school and college, Kim played clarinet in the band and spent
some time with the Nashville Symphony. She loved cats, music, movies and
books. She especially enjoyed studying the Bible. Although she had several
Bibles at her disposal, Kim treasured the Bible she received as a gift for
her high school graduation. She enjoyed praise and worship at her church.
During the pandemic shutdown of services at the church building, she stay
involved with online worship, Bible study and weekly devotional sessions by
phone with her mother.

Kim had fond memories of her time at the library. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests making donations to the Lannom library for the organization
to purchase items which support the library. Send contributions (in memory

Street, Tullahoma TN 37388.

A private service with the immediate family is planned.

William “Bill” George McCorkle

William “Bill” George McCorkle of Chattanooga passed this life on Tuesday,
May 25, 2021 at Erlanger Hospital at the age of 69. Graveside Services are
scheduled for Friday, May 28, 2021 at 1 PM at Green Cemetery, Carr Creek
Road, Bedford County, TN.

Bill, a native of Miami, FL, was the son of the late Albert Wilson and Lily
Lane McCorkle.  He was a nurse and worked in Pediatric Surgery at Erlanger
Hospital for over thirty years.  His favorite hobby was deep sea fishing
and he enjoyed playing video games and working in the yard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Earl
and Clara Carr.

Mr. McCorkle is survived by his wife, Gina McCorkle of Chattanooga; sister,
Sue Lester; sister-in-law, Mitzi Underwood of Normandy; niece, Carla Chu of
Normandy and nephew, Cody Lester.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in
his honor to the McKamey Animal Center, 4500 N. Access Road, Chattanooga,
TN  37415.

Freida Lynn Baker

Freida Lynn Baker, of Hillsboro, passed this life on Monday, May 24, 2021
at the age of 58. Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 5,
2021 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.  The family will receive
friends on Saturday beginning at 1 PM.

Mrs. Baker, a native of Lynchburg, was the daughter of the late Robert
Hassel and Stella Louise Morris Galloway. She was employed as a cook at
Logan’s Restaurant and enjoyed fishing, gardening, working jigsaw puzzles,
coloring and making quilts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Larry Ray
Baker.

Mrs. Baker is survived by son, Adam Baker (Brandy) of Manchester;
daughters, Brandy Murphy (Jammy Cook) of Manchester and Amanda McCune
(Doug) of Bell Buckle; sister, Julia Ann Hadley (Keith) of Coffee County
and nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made in
her honor to the Coffee County Humane Society, P O Box 252, Manchester, TN

William “Bill” Robert Carden

Funeral services for Mr. William “Bill” Robert Carden, age 79, will be conducted at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Carden Farm in Noah, TN.  The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, and 9:00AM until the time of service on Thursday, at the funeral home.  Mr. Carden passed from this life on Monday, May 24, 2021, at his home in Noah, TN. 

Bill was born in Noah on September 3, 1941, the son of the late Russell and Miriam Carden.  He grew up working on the farm with his family and continued that tradition with his children and grandchildren.  He was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, farming, and gardening.  He had a sincere respect for all things in nature.  Bill spent over 50 years driving a school bus for Coffee County Schools, where he touched the lives of many people.  Mr. Bill had a quiet authoritative manner that allowed children to enjoy their bus ride, while setting boundaries for their behavior.  He taught numerous lessons to many generations of children with his daily bits of wisdom.  Bill was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed his family. 

In addition to his parents, Bill is also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Rusty Carden and Christian Carden; three brothers, Charles “Tom” Thomas Carden, Milner Carden, and James Render Carden; one sister, Arlena Nickle.  He is survived by his beloved significant other, Shirley Banks; two sons, Cantrell Carden (Lynda) and Billy Bob Carden (Rachel); two daughters, Rose Anne Smith (Nick) and Susan Ferrell (David); one brother, John Emory Carden; seventeen grandchildren, Viktor Carden, Christina Carden, Stone Riddle, Boone Riddle, Grey Riddle, Lucy Riddle, Scott Smith, Alaina Murray (Chris), Abby Ferrell, Chad Ferrell (Shala), LeChelle Ferrell (Jerrod), Eliza Carden, Gus Carden, Willow Carden, Pearl Carden, Will Carden, and Abraham Carden; eight great-grandchildren, Zuri Murray, Rusti Murray, Kix Ferrell, Kiya Ferrell, Kayda Ferrell, Jules Ferrell, Jerzee Ferrell, and Justus Ferrell.

Wilma Earlene Blackburn Welch

Welch, Wilma Earlene Blackburn , of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, May 21 st , 2021 at Manchester Health Care Center at the age of 89. Wilma was born in Tullahoma to the late Spencer and Edith Mae Byrom Blackburn and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Brad Welch; one daughter, Kim Welch Stockton; one sister, Betty Silvertooth; and one brother, Wilson Blackburn; Wilma is survived by one son, Gary (Melissa) Welch; two grandsons, Jason (Lesley) Dendy and Kevin Welch; four great-grandchildren, Baylor, Bella, Victoria, and Thomas; one brother, Buford Blackburn; son-in-law, Dale Stockton; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25 th , 2021 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Bro. David Wall officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Frances “Alberta” Woosley Ledford

Frances “Alberta” Woosley Ledford, passed this life on Wednesday, May 19 th , 2021 at her residence at the age of 78 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Alberta was born in Lynchburg to the late David and Hattie West Woosley. She married Jesse Ledford Jr. in 1960 and earned her LPN degree while caring for her active twin sons and daughter. Over the years, she worked in Tullahoma for Dr. Webb and Dr. Lindsay, and retired from Harton Hospital’s maternity unit where she loved caring for the newborn babies. She enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers, experimenting with new recipes, traveling, and watching her birdfeeders and the deer with our dear Mr. Paul. She loved her family and enjoyed get-togethers with them, and her many dear friends, some of which included her fellow nurses, Moore County High School classmates, and the No Name group. She enjoyed sewing and made beautiful, treasured quilts for her children and grandchildren. Alberta was a member of Cedar Lane Church of Christ in Tullahoma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 31 years, Jesse L. Ledford, Jr. who passed away in 1991; and two brothers, Glendon Woosley and D.A. Woosley. Alberta is survived by her loving companion of many years, Paul Barnes; step-son, Paul (Charlene) Ledford of Tullahoma; step-daughter, Vickie (David) Thompson of Tullahoma; twin sons, Larry (Pam) Ledford of Manchester and Gary (Denise) Ledford of Tullahoma; one daughter, Kristie Moreau of Estill Springs; seven grandsons, Jeremy (Frances) Ledford, Scottie (LaDonna) Ledford, Travis (Jackie) Ledford, Brandon Greeson, Zach Ledford, Nathan Ledford, and James Moreau; four granddaughters, Slectues Thompson, Jessica (Joseph) James, Amber (Jakeb) Newberry, and Emma Ledford; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Claude (Connie) Woosley of Lynchburg; one sister, Mildred Cunningham of Tullahoma; several nieces and nephews; Cheryl Barnes (Mike) Stevens, and the whole Barnes family. A special thank you to Hospice Compassus and her caregivers, Vickie Helton, Paulette James, and Linda Martin. Also, a special appreciation to Cheryl Stevens for her support to us all.
