William E O’Connell
William E O’Connell of Estill Springs, passed this life on Wednesday, June
23, 2021 at his residence at the age of 73. Funeral Services are scheduled
at 4 PM on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church with burial to
follow at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 PM.
Mr. O’Connell was the son of the late Edward Eugene and Mary Maxine Stahr
O’Connell. He was a U S Army veteran and a member of the Bethel Baptist
Church. He enjoyed watching game shows, fishing, playing checkers and
attending church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Dawn
Marie Delmarco; son, William Alton Beech III and brother, Darrell Eugene
O’Connell.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn O’Connell of Estill Springs; sons,
William Anthony O’Connell and Joey Lee Cantrell of Manchester; daughters,
Shannon Michelle Carroll (William) of Dickson and Lori Ann Nash (Dustin
Lee) of Estill Springs; sisters, Beverly Frances Powers of Winchester and
Mary Marlene Neal (Gary Wayne) of Tullahoma; eleven grandchildren and three
great grandchildren.

Kennie Ray Jones
Kennie Ray Jones of Tullahoma passed this life on Thursday, June 17, 2021
at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 54. Funeral
Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 1 pm at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ragsdale Cemetery.
Family will receive friends and family from 11 am until the service time.
Kennie, a native of Warren County, was the son of Billy Joe Jones and
Evelyn Pack/Warren. He enjoyed fishing, working on lawn mowers and
tinkering with electrical equipment. He is preceded in death by his
brother, Timothy Jones and his step-father, Danny Warren Sr.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Angie Jones of Tullahoma; sons, Johnny
Jones of Shelbyville, Nathan, Austin, Ryan and Seth Jones all of Tullahoma;
daughter, Melissa Jones of Columbus, OH; brother, Danny Warren (Emily) of
Flat Creek; sisters, Shelia Lightfoot (Quinn) of Estill Springs, Sandra
Gwinn Warren of Shelbyville and two grandchildren, Alyssa and Sierra.

John Clifford Williams
Mr. John Clifford Williams, age 97, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in Tullahoma, TN.
Mr. Williams was born in Minor Hill, TN, to his late parents Mason Patrick
Williams and Mamie Prince Williams and was one of twelve children. He
served his country with the United States Army and United States Air Force
during World War II and in Korea. Mr. Williams had top secret clearance and
worked on aircraft at Edwards Air Force Base in California where he
ultimately retired from the military. After the military, he returned home
and worked for a heating/air conditioning company until his retirement. Mr.
Williams was a member of First Baptist Church in Manchester, TN. He loved
fishing, being outdoors, travelling, and he loved his family dearly. Mr.
Williams was a loving husband and father. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, June Williams; siblings,
Osteen Williams, Carson Williams, Claude Williams, Joe Williams, Billy
Williams, Harold Williams, Gladys Williams, Estelle Hayes, Jewel
Stephenson, and Viva Cox.
Mr. Williams is survived by sons, Gary John Williams, John Curtis (Karen)
Williams, and Keith Alan (Tina) Williams; daughter, Sherrie Lee (Roger)
Lowe; sister, Emma Nola Cothren; grandchildren, Chris (Jaqueline) Williams,
David (Kasi) Williams, Erika Paige Williams, Katie (Ricky) Rabinski, Kaci
(Brandon) Carter, Kyle Lowe, and Kristen (Jonason) Daniel; great
grandchildren, Kayleigh, Makenzie, Kenley, Addison, and Aria.
Family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2021, from 12 noon until
2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be
conducted immediately following visitation at 2:00pm in the chapel of
Central Funeral Home with Dr. Brenton Cox officiating. Burial will follow
at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Kara Nicole Massey Baker
Kara Nicole Massey Baker of Hillsboro passed this life in an automobile
accident on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the age of 30. The family will receive
friends at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home on Friday, June 25, from 11 AM – 1
PM. Graveside Services will immediately follow at Prairie Plains Methodist
Church Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Kara, a native of Atlanta, GA, was the daughter of Ronnie Massey and Angela
Kersey. Kara was a very loving and thoughtful person. At the age of 20,
she donated a kidney to a family friend. She and her husband, Luke had
recently relocated from Georgia to the Hillsboro area and were expecting
their first child, Lily. She was very excited about being a mother. Kara
and Luke had a special relationship and she often referred to him as “Her
Person”. She enjoyed gardening, reading and playing the piano. She loved
music and had a lovely voice. She loved her dogs, Chewy, Timber and Hank
and her cat, Pumpkin.
Kara was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bobby Crawford and her
grandfather-in-law, Curtis Baker.
She is survived by her husband, Luke Baker of Hillsboro; father, Ronnie
Massey (Ashlie) of Covington, GA; mother, Angela Kersey of Jesup, GA;
Grandmother, Loretta Crawford of Nahunta, GA; In-laws, Steve and Betsy
Baker of Covington, GA; grandmother-in-law, Susan Mitchell of Covington,
GA; sisters, Hayli Massey and Oliyvia Monteagudo, both of Athens, GA and
Anyka and Cadyn Massey, both of Covington, GA; brother-in-law, Matthew
Baker (Emily) of Athens, GA and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

James A. Rapoza
James A. Rapoza of Manchester passed this life on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at
Lynchburg Nursing Home at the age of 74. Funeral Services are scheduled for
Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2 pm at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with
burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends
and family from 12 Noon until the service time.
James, a native of Tullahoma, was the son of the late Alfred and Lela Mae
Rapoza. He enjoyed listening to music and riding around.
Mr. Rapoza is survived by his sons, Toby Rapoza (Annissa) and Brad Rapoza
both of Tullahoma; sister, Rosemary Bryant (Mike) of Lynchburg;
grandchildren, Talia Rapoza (Fiancé Eliah Ferrell) of Tullahoma, Lexy Yates
(Jayden) of Manchester, Slayde Rapoza of Tullahoma, Hannah Nelms (Will) of
Lebanon and Kaleb Fanning (Kaitlin) of Murfreesboro and one
great-grandchild Lenox Ferrell.

Franklin Carl Whitcraft
Franklin Carl Whitcraft, age 55, of Manchester passed away Sunday, June 20,
2021. He was born December 7, 1965 in Mount Holly, New Jersey to the late
Ernest and Janet Whitcraft.
Franklin is survived by his daughter, Ashely Whitcraft; brothers, William
and Ernest Whitcraft; and ex-wife, Barbara Banes.

Alta Irene Shortridge Justice
Mrs. Alta Irene Shortridge Justice, age 85, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Sunday, June 20, 2021, in Manchester, TN.
Mrs. Justice was born in Rowe, VA, to her late parents Granville Shortridge
and Maudie Street Shortridge. She was a teacher for all her life and she
also loved shopping, gardening, and was also an avid reader. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Justice; son,
Lloyd Justice; siblings, Cecil Shortridge, Margaret Dehart, Ellen Meeks,
James Shortridge, and Ida Mae Green.
Mrs. Justice is survived by a brother, Frank (Carol) Shortridge; sisters,
Rebecca Eckhoff, Joyce Shortridge, Elsie Shortridge, Mary Jane Shortridge,
and Ola Gay (Pete) Kirkland; grandchildren, Michael Justice and Christopher
Justice; and nephew, Richard Shortridge.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 26, 2021, from 11:00am until
1:00pm at Temple Baptist Church in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be
conducted immediately following visitation at 1:00pm at Temple Baptist
Church with Pastor Greg Nash officiating. Burial will take place on Monday,
June 28, 2021, at 2:00pm at Thacker Memorial Cemetery, 3200 East Shelbianna

Orville Ray “Spud” Glenn, Jr
Glenn, Jr., Orville Ray “Spud” , of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, June 18 th , 2021 at his home at the age of 77. Spud was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Orville R. Glenn Sr. and Mary Louise Jones Glenn. During his life, he owned and operated Courtesy Dry Cleaning and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Leslie Glenn; and one sister, Brenda Moore. Spud is survived by his wife, Brenda Glenn; two sons, Kenneth (Tabetha) Glenn and Trey (Christy) Glenn; one sister, Barbara (Sonny) Mount; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Maurice and Margaret Hale; sister-in-law, Susan Glenn; four grandchildren, Jordan, Julie (fiancé Eli), Drew, and Lindsey; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22 nd at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 7:00pm with Pastors Dave and Christian Watts officiating. Ruby L. Honea
Ruby L. Honea, of Tullahoma, passed this life on June 18, 2021 at her residence at the age of 81. The family will welcome friends for Visitation on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Funeral Services will immediately follow, beginning at 12:00pm and will be officiated by Rev. Brian Ferrell and Bro. James Taylor. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Honea was born in Franklin County to the late Grady Hastings and Vina Sanders Hastings. She was a faithful member of the First Church of Jesus Christ and loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed canning, eating good food such as fried chicken, and traveling the world with her late husband, H.E.. Mrs. Honea was very family oriented and made sure to be at any family get-together that she could; always encouraging her brother to pick up his guitar and play for everyone. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Andy Bradford Jr; sister, Lorene Walls; granddaughter, Alicia Rodriguez.
She is survived by her son, Roy (Sandra) Bradford; brother, Orvel (Sue) Hastings; sister, Frances Ferrell; grandchildren, Jason Bradford, AJ Bradford, Christopher Bradford, Chrystal Escamilla, Grady Bradford; 13 great-grandchildren.
Mary Lee Thompson
Mrs. Mary Lee Thompson, age 89, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Thursday, June 17, 2021, in Murfreesboro, TN.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Amory, Mississippi, to her late parents Joseph
Edwards and Grace White Edwards. She was a homemaker all her life.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles Henry
Thompson; sons, Wyatt Thompson and Wayne Thompson; daughter, Wanda
Thompson; grandchildren, Philip Thompson, Olivia Thompson McKnight, Grace
Jones, and Jacob Thompson; great grandchildren, Emitt, Wynonna, Bradli
Kate, and Laney.
Family will receive friend on Monday, June 21, 2021, from 4:00pm until
6:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. A Celebration of Life
service will be held immediately following visitation at 6:00pm with Foy
