Herbert Lee Johnson

Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Lee Johnson, age 80 of Tullahoma, will be
conducted on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 1 PM at Manchester Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the
family will be held on Saturday, from 11 AM until time of service at the
funeral home. Mr. Johnson passed away on Tuesday at his home after an
extended illness.

Mr. Johnson was born on November 27, 1940, in Sparta, TN, to the late
Wesley and Bessie Randolph Johnson. He is the owner of HL Johnson Mulch and
Hwy 55 Flea Market, and he attended the Forrest Mill Baptist Church. Mr.
Johnson enjoyed Nascar racing, going to auctions, and working. Mr. Johnson
was also known as a strong supporter of the Coffee County community,
supporting the local law enforcement, fire departments, and schools.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by two
brothers, Wesley, Jr. and Johnny Johnson.  He is survived by his wife,
Tammy Williamson Johnson; children, Johnathan Matthew Hodges, Susan Sartain
Lindsey (Cory), Andrew Foster, Blade Huber, Christopher Jensen, Michelle
Trussell, Sierra Jensen, Kelsey Murray, Michael Johnson, and Sharon Butler;
11 grandchildren, Tanner, Jacob, Jessie, Braxton, Caydence, Apollo,
Frankie, Josey, Jaraez, Isabella, and Anna; several nieces, nephews, and a
host of friends.

John “JB” Middleton

Bro. John “JB” Middleton, age 90, of Manchester, TN, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, July 4, 2021, in Tullahoma, TN, after a brief illness. Bro. Middleton was born in Bridgeport, AL, to his late parents James Aaron Middleton and Tennie Jane Dawson Middleton. He enjoyed reading, gardening, painting, woodworking, and playing games including checkers and horseshoes. Bro. Middleton enjoyed being around his family and friends and also his church family. He loved the Lord and was a minister for 63 years of his life. He pastored 2 churches and served in several other churches during his ministry. Bro. Middleton was a member of Mercy Baptist Church in Manchester, TN. He served in the United States Army
during the Korean War 1950-1952. He was in Company A 407th Engineer Combat Battalion. He obtained the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, the Presidential Unit Citation (ROK), and the United Nations Service Medal. He was honorably discharged on June 6,1952 as a Tech Sergeant. He was a quiet person but always had something important to say when he spoke. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie Elizabeth Nelson Middleton; daughter, Sherry Sellers; step-daughter, Tina Vazquez; brothers, James Aaron Middleton, Jr., Conage Middleton, D.C. Middleton, Jack Middleton, and Bob Middleton; sisters, Gussie Vinson, Ruby King, Jimmie Cooper, and Barbara Knight. Bro. Middleton is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ruth Middleton; sons, John (Billie) Middleton, Steve
(Jane) Middleton, Jimmy (Lynn) Williams, Pat (Tammy) Williams, Manuel (Carolyn) Williams; daughter, Vicki Kilgore; sisters, Ann (Wallace) Peoples and Shirley Campbell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 1:00pm until 9:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 1:00pm from the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Bailey, Bro. Richard Thompson, and Bro. Kenny Tweet officiating. Burial will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN, at 3:30pm with full military honors.

Christine Hazelwood

Christine Hazelwood of Tullahoma, TN passed this life on Monday, July 5,
2021 at her sister’s residence at the age of 88. Funeral Services are
scheduled for Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home
with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family will
receive friends on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home
from 5 PM – 8 PM.

Christine, a native of Coffee County, was the daughter of the late Leslie
and Cleo Cox Hunt. Mrs. Hazelwood loved being outdoors working in her yard.
She was a very hard worker and even recently helped her younger sister,
Jewel, split and haul wood for her wood burning stove. She also enjoyed
doing crafts and being involved with her church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E W
Hazelwood and brothers, Haden, Junior Rowe, Archie Ray and James William
Hunt.

Mrs. Hazelwood is survived by sisters, Jewel Hice and Vera Hunt, both of
Tullahoma and several nieces, Nephews and cousins.

Jerry W. Marr

Jerry W. Marr, of Fayetteville, passed this life on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the age of 66. The family will welcome friends for Visitation on Friday, July 9 from 3:30pm until 7:00pm at Lynchburg Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 10 at 2pm at Lynchburg Funeral Home, with Brother Jimmy Marr officiating. Burial to follow at Flintville Cemetery.

Jerry, a native of Lincoln County, was the son of the late J.W. and Gracie Hasty Marr. He proudly served our country as a member of the National Guard and was a member of the VFW. He was a family man who loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Marr was a hard worker and enjoyed spending his free-time fishing, collecting diecast cars, and watching the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy D. Marr; son, Jody Jay Marr; daughter, Melissa Dawn Marr; sisters, Mary Kathrine Bevels and Margaret Ann Marr; brother, James Allen Marr.

Ruth Ann Mallonee

Ruth Ann Mallonee of Tullahoma passed this life on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at
the Lynchburg Nursing Center at the age of 78. No services are scheduled.

A native of Charleston, WV, was the daughter of the late Ernest Richard
Darby Sr. and the late Ruth Bumgardner Darby.  She was a member of the
Daughters of the Confederacy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John
Mallonee and sister, Linda Joan Darby.

Mrs. Mallonee is survived by brother, Ernest R. Darby Jr (Robin) of
Huntington, WV; nephew, Ernest Darby III of Huntington, WV and grandnieces,
Alex and McKenzie.

Rebecca Louise “Becky” Huggins

Graveside services for Ms. Rebecca Louise “Becky” Huggins, age 71 of
Manchester, will be conducted on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 2 PM in the
Hillsboro Memorial cemetery. Becky passed away on Friday at her home after
an extended illness.

Becky was born on February 18, 1950, in Manchester to the late James and
Alline Ring Oldfield. After her retirement from Batesville, she worked as a
stock clerk for Kangaroo in Manchester.

In addition to her parents, Becky is preceded in death by her grandparents,
Willie & Lillian Ring. She is survived by her son, Randall Harrell (Amanda
Garant); grandchildren, Gary Wayne Harrell and Jeffrey Tyler Harrell and
his wife, Kristin; great grandson, Jaxon Ray Harrell; sisters, Barbara Dyer
and Linda Maree; daughter-in-law, Theresa Lynn Martin, several nieces,
nephews, and a host of friends.

Betty Jean Jayne

Betty Jean Jayne of Winchester, TN passed this life on Thursday, July 1,
2021 at her residence at the age of 89. Funeral Services are scheduled for
Monday, July 5, 2021 at 11 AM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.  The family
will receive friends from 10 AM – 11 AM.  Burial will be at Lakeview
Cemetery in Susquehanna, PA

Mrs. Jayne, a native of Susquehanna, PA, was the daughter of the late
Reginald Lewis Sr. and Rachel Tingley Lewis. She loved gardening, reading,
crocheting and completing puzzles.  She also enjoyed being with her
children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bowen
Jayne Sr; sons, Bruce and Bowen Jayne Jr; daughter, Bernice Schabloski;
infant daughter, Gail Marie Jayne; brothers, Reginald E. Lewis Jr, Ronald
Lewis  and Roger Lewis and sisters, Marilyn Wellman and Evelyn Conklin.

Mrs. Jayne is survived by son, Brian (Daryl) Jayne; daughter, Becky (Ricky)
Lewis; sisters-in-law, Doris Lewis and Nancy Bennett; brother-in-law,
Robert (Joan) Jayne and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and
great great grandchildren.

Connie Toms Hill

Connie Toms Hill, of Murfreesboro, passed this life on Thursday, July 1 st , 2021 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Connie was born in Manchester to the late Jessie and Evie Farrar Toms. She was a former teacher at Westwood Elementary and later went on to work as a realtor with Clark Maples Realty and Auction. Connie was also a member of Blanton’s Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Glenda Saine, Carol Benson, and Kathy Esslinger. Connie is survived by her son, Devin West; one sister, Helen Darden; one brother, Royce Toms; two grandchildren, William Hunter West and Sawyer Allan West; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 6 th , 2021 at 11:00am at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery in Manchester with Rev. Lisa Oliver officiating.

Annie Bell Edmiston

Annie Bell Edmiston, of Petersburg, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the age of 69. The family will welcome friends for Visitation on Monday, July 5 from 11am until 1pm at Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Fayetteville. Funeral Services will begin directly after at 1pm with Pastor Jeanell Tucker officiating. Interment will take place at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Caline Fowler Hockett. At an early age, Annie Bell was baptized at Coldwater Primitive Baptist Church in Coldwater, TN. She served at St. John Primitive Baptist Church for a time, until she married and moved to Concord Primitive Baptist. She then attended Hope Assembly of God and West End CPA, before becoming a member of Full Gospel Fellowship where she served faithfully as Sunday School Superintendent and Mother. Mrs. Edmiston was also an awesome cook. Cooking was her ministry, with her signature dishes being fried chicken and banana pudding.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Lonnie Edmiston; siblings, Laura Mae Murphy, Mable Lean Ingles (James), Lola Dobbins, Felicia Dangerfield, Larry King (Nancy), Melvin Bowers (Olner), Rickey Hockett (Michelle), Thomas Hockett (Delphine); brother-in-law, James Edmiston.

Heather I Brown

Heather I Brown of Manchester, passed this life on Saturday, June 26, 2021
at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital at the age of 45. No services are
scheduled.

A native of Akron, OH, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Lois
Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Brown of Manchester and brother,
Wesley Brown of Harrisburg, PA.
