7/2/12 — Michael A. Elliott
Michael A. Elliott, age 43 of Tullahoma, passed away June 29, 2012.
He was a 1987 graduate of Franklin County High School and later worked for Woody’s Tree Service.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Houston Elliott and a brother, Tony Wayne Elliott.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Eslick Watson of Belvidere; brothers, Parker Elliott of Winchester, Richard Elliott of Houston TX. and Lester Elliott of Belvidere; several aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday July 2, 2012 at Winchester Memorial Park.

7/3/12 — Sarah Virginia Holt
Sarah Virginia Holt passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Soddy Daisy Health Care.
She was born in Warren County, Tennessee on June 15, 1924 and lived most of her life in Manchester, Tennessee.
She was a former member of Main Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H. B. and Sally St. John Ramsey, her husband, Leighton, and three sisters, Jane Wiseman, Peggy McKenzie and Leona Campbell.
She is survived by her son David Holt and his wife, Kathy of Hixson, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Joshua Holt of Knoxville, Erin Newcomb, Allison Foreman and her husband, John and Andrew Holt and his wife, Abbie, all of Chattanooga, TN; along with three great grandsons, Luke Newcomb and Beau and Brody Foreman; one sister, Kathryn Hickerson of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 2, 2012 from 5 – 7 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel.
A brief graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 3 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Tullahoma, Tennessee, followed by a Memorial Service at Coffee County Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM with Bro. J. Lynwood Mathis officiating.
Joshua Holt, Andrew Holt, John Foreman, Stanley Keele, Ray Amos and Don Rhodes will serve as pallbearers.

7/2/12 — Charles Kenneth “Kenny” Harrison
Charles Kenneth “Kenny” Harrison, age 76 of Lynchburg, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012.
He was born July 29, 1935 in Lynchburg; the son of the late Charles Leo and Christine (Ervin) Harrison.
He was the owner-operator and funeral director for the Charlie Harrison Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
Surviving are son, Charles Terrill (Sarah-Kim Barre) Harrison of Cane Ridge, TN.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday in the Jennings Moore-Cortner Chapel.
Interment will be in Lynchburg Cemetery, Lynchburg, TN.

7/2/12 — Mildred Reaves Bowden
Mildred Reaves Bowden age 96 of Monteagle requested God to take her home on June 29, 2012 at Sheltering Arms in Palmer.
Mrs. Bowden attended Morton Memorial Methodist Church and was an avid reader for 96 years. Mrs. Bowden lived with her daughter Margaret Anne Thomas for 5 years before going to Sheltering Arms in January. She left the sheltering arms of the Roberts’ family in Palmer to rest in God’s sheltering arms.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Mr. Charles Upton Bowden; her parents John Cheatham Reaves and Mary Ellen Reaves; brothers and sisters Lewis Reaves, Carl Reaves, Kenneth Reaves, Wryas Reaves, Ina Mae Ramsey Clark, Roger Reaves, and Ralph Reaves.
Survivors include her children Upton Beall Bowden III and his wife Wanda of Fort Wayne, Indiana, John Wayne Bowden and his wife Arvillene of Norfolk, Virginia and Margaret Anne Thomas, and her husband Kenneth of Tracy City, Tennesssee; grandchildren Tyson Thomas, Anna Disser, Lauren Floyd, Beth Maybach, Amy Bowden, John Bowden and Upton Beall Bowden IV; 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will meet at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Warren Cemetery in Pelham for a graveside service with Brother Danny Coffelt officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ella Ruth Walton, age 71 of Decherd, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center.
Ms. Walton enjoyed reading, needle point, gardening and flower gardening. Her greatest passion of all was rescuing lost and sick animals.
Ms. Walton is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucy Gipson; brothers, George Gipson Jr. and Leonard Gipson.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years Robert Walton of Decherd; daughter, Tammy (Gary) Overman of Tullahoma; step-children, Robert L. Walton and Shawna Walton both of Louisiana and 4 step grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 3 PM from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Mt. Garner Cemetery.

7/1/12 — Joann Reagon Brawner
Joann Reagon Brawner of Huntsville, passed away June 27, 2012.
She retired from IBM where she worked for many years. After retirement she was a real estate broker. She was very happy, motivated person and would be the first one to yell road trip. She devoted her life to her daughter, grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Louise Reagon and son, Keith Alan Brawner.
Ms. Brawner is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Brawner; grandchildren, Bridget Lombardi, Chelsea Brawner and fiancé Jeff Brooks, Zackary Brawner, Amy Brooke Stahl; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Autumn Loffler, Gabriella Lombardi, Caelynn Emily Loffler; sisters, Betty Hanson and Liz Henderson; daughter-in-law, Susan Lombardi.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 2pm from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Elora Cemetery.

7/1/12– Mary Ellen Turner Crouch
Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Turner Crouch, age 85, of Manchester, will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Bro. Jimmy Rigsby officiating.
Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Sunday, July 1 at Manchester Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crouch passed away Saturday morning at Middle Tennessee Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Crouch was born in Smithville, TN, the daughter of the late Charlie and Gladys Parker Turner.
Mary attended and was a member of Main Street Church of Christ. Until her retirement, Mary was employed at Colonial Shirt Factory in Manchester. Her hobbies included quilting and gardening, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her loving family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crouch was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Crouch, and five brothers, William Edward, James, Jack, J.C., and Charles Turner.
She is survived by her two daughters, Peggy (Edwin) Brake and Rebecca (Don) Harrell, both of Manchester; three granddaughters, Crystal Brake, Brandy Harrell Gibbs, and Ashley Harrell Jernigan; one great granddaughter, Briley Jernigan, all of Manchester; three sisters, Helen (Benny) Todd of Murfreesboro, Audrey (Tommy) Webb of Smithville, and Betty (Junior) Conrad of Niles, MI; one brother, Ernest (Martha) Turner of McMinnville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

7/1/12 — James Calvin “JC” Maxey
Mr. James Calvin “J.C.” Maxey, age 91, of Tullahoma, passed away Friday at Life Care Center of Tullahoma.
He is native of Franklin Co. and the son of the late Willie and Leland Pollock Maxey. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Johnnie Jones, Frances Maxey, and a brother, Mitchell Maxey.
Mr. Maxey was a retired boilermaker at A.E.D. C., a WWII, US Army Veteran with the 30th Infantry Division, Cannon Company 120th Infantry and a was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
He is survived by 2 Nephews, Willie Maxey and Jerry (Marie) Maxey both of Tullahoma, a great niece, Kelli (Dale) Garner of Tullahoma, sister in law, Maggie Maxey of Tullahoma, great nephews, Danny (Angie) Maxey of Canton, GA, Brian (Merwen) Maxey of Tullahoma, 3 great great nieces, and 3 great great nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dwight Duckworth.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Infant Judy Elaine Bombich entered in to heavenly rest on June 27, 2012 at Erlanger in Chattanooga.
Judy was born on June 27, 2012 to her loving parents Mary Barbour and Anthony Bombich. Judy is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Lisa Pease of Beechgrove, TN; maternal grandfather, Dan Woodman of Wearham, Mass; paternal grandfather, Gary Bombich of Southbend, IN; uncles, Robert Woodman of Wearham, IN, Christopher Pease of Decherd, TN, Kyle Bombich of Southbend, IN; and a host of other relatives.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 2pm from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Watson-North Memorial Park.
Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service.
