8/21/12 — Julian Ancel Stovall
Julian Ancel Stovall Sr., age 89 of Huntland, TN passed away August 18, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born in Huntland, TN, son of the late Ernest and Emmy Stovall. Although he was raised in Centerville, Iowa and lived in other parts of the United States, he came back to his hometown to live in Huntland, TN for the past 41 years. Julian A. Stovall Sr.,served in the Army in the Americal Division and was awarded the Bronze Star for his heroic actions in WWII. He was an active member of the Huntland United Methodist Church and shared many special times with his loving church family. He touched many lives, radiated warmth and love, and never met a stranger. He had a joy for life and for helping others. Mr. Stovall is predeceased by his sister, Peggy Beck and son, Ricky Stovall. He leaves behind his loving wife, Geraldine Hudson Stovall, of 66 years to cherish their memories; a daughter, Peggye Stovall of Bel Air, MD, and two sons, Julian Stovall (Lydia) of Virginia Beach, VA and Kenneth Stovall (June) of Charleston, SC, as well as 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a nephew. Visitation will be held at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester, TN on Monday, August 20th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Huntland United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 21st with Pastor Christopher Haynes officiating. The Burial will follow the service at the Moore Memorial Cemetery in Huntland, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation made in the memory of Julian Ancel Stovall to the Huntland United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 204, Huntland, TN 37345. 8/20/12 — Kent Edward Hutson
Kent Edward Hutson, of Nolensville, formerly of Tullahoma passed this life on Friday, August 17th, 2012 at Alive Hospice in Nashville at the age of 59.
Mr. Hutson was a member of Tusculum Church of Christ in Nolensville and loved photography, history, cars, traveling and anything German.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Dean Hutson.
Mr. Hutson is survived by his wife, Denise Hutson of Nolensville; two daughters, Audrey Gibson and her husband Kayne of Braselton, Georgia and Mallory LePourtre and her husband Paul of Spring Hill, Tennessee; one grandson, William Hutson Gibson; two sisters, Janie Pack and her husband Kenny and Julie Foreman and her husband Steven, both of Tullahoma; Brothers and Sisters-In-Laws, Tonya and Rick Thompson of Rotoroua, New Zealand and Greg and Suzanne Jett of Goodletsville, TN; Nieces and Nephews, Christopher Foreman, Andrea Houser, Brittany Temples, Tyler Pannell, Hunter, Conner, Sarah and Dylan Jett and Riley and Madison Thompson; and two great-nephews, Owen Temples and Spence Houser.
Visitation for Mr. Hutson will be held on Monday, August 20th, 2012 from 1:00-3:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 4:00pm at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Glenn McGee officiating.

8/20/12 — Marie Stallings Crowell
Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Stallings Crowell, age 86 of the Noah Community of Coffee County will be conducted at 2:00pm, Monday, Aug. 20 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ken Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be from 4pm until 8pm, Sunday at Manchester Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crowell passed away Friday, Aug. 17 at the Medical Center of Manchester.
Mrs. Crowell was born in Coffee County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Eddie Lee Stallings and Ruby Norvill Stallings.
She attended the former Middle Tennessee College (MTSU), was an Elementary School Teacher and was retired from the Financial Department at AEDC. Mrs. Crowell was a member of the Beech Grove Church of Christ. She loved to travel, especially in the Western United States, was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed LSU football. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel F. Crowell who died in 2001.

8/19/12 — Charles Allen Acklen
Charles Allen Acklen, age 68 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at his home.
He was born October 26, 1943 in Winchester; the son of the late Charles john and Edna Pauline (Rieben) Acklen.
He served his country in the US Army in Vietnam. Mr. Acklen worked as an electrician and plumber for the Franklin Co. Board of Education. He was a member of the Boulevard Church of Christ.
Mr. Acklen was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Schultz.
Surviving are sister, Susan Acklen of Plattsburgh, New York, Niece, Tracey Schuck of Detroit, Michigan, and brother-in-law, Thomas Schuck of the Detroit area in Michigan.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, Winchester, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave. NW, Winchester.

8/24/12 — Dixie Rowe
Dixie Rowe, age 58 of Cowan, passed away Thursday August 16, 2012 at Lynchburg Nursing Home.
She was a 1972 graduate of Franklin County High School. She later attended Motlow State Community College and the Tennessee Technology Center in Shelbyville where she earned a certification as a legal secretary. She worked as a legal secretary at The Legal Aid Society in Tullahoma until her health failed. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Karessa (Allen) Childress of Tullahoma, Karena Rowe of Shelbyville and Kristy (Dwayne) Darden of Winchester; sisters, Deta (Bob) Gant of Shelbyville, Jackie (Hirm) Rowland also of Shelbyville and Patsy Harper, of Fayetteville; brothers, Marvin (Mary) Walker of Wisconsin and Waymond (Doris) Walker of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday August 24, 2012.
Interment will follow at Thorogood Cemetery in Cowan with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening (August 23, 2012) at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Cowan and again at Watson-North Funeral Home on Friday (August 24, 2012) from noon-till 1 p.m.

8/17/12 — Oliver Allen Raby
Mr. Oliver Allen Raby, age 76 passed away Wednesday August 15, 2012 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Willis Shoftner Raby and Lorina Allen Raby.
He was retired from Tyson Foods in Shelbyville.
The family will receive friends from 4 till 8 P.M. Thursday August 16 at Lynchburg Funeral Home.
Services for Mr. Raby will be held at 11 A.M. Friday August 17 at Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Gracie Hunt officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Herman Cemetery.
Survivors are daughters: Susan (John) Thomas of Lynchburg and Anna (Mary) Raby of Shelbyville. Sons; Frankie (Michelle) of Shelbyville, Dewayne (Toni) Raby of Unionville and Jimmy (Elaine) Raby of Shelbyville. 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren. Brothers; Alden Raby and Felton Raby both of Lynchburg. Sisters; Bonita Rogers of Lynchburg and Deloris Smith of Shelbyville and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Raby was preceded in death by his brother, A.J. Raby and sister, Mary Burton.

Mr. Charles Meinkey , Sr 88 of Tullahoma passed Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Life Care Center after an extended illness.
He served his country in the United States Air Force from which he later retired.
He is survived by a son: Charles W. Meinkey, Jr of St. George, Utah and a daughter, Nancy McDaniel of Mill Valley, California, and a special friend and caregiver, VernellCarter and her daughter, Andrenae Phllips.
Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date.
8/17/12 — Charlotte N. Womack
Mrs. Charlotte N. Womack, age 75, of Tullahoma, passed away Wednesday at Harton Regional Medical Center.
She is a native of Coffee Co., Tennessee and is the daughter of the late Frank Thomas and Deana D. Teal Allen. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Dena Denise Hutson.
Mr. Womack was a former Inspector at Snow White Dry Cleaning and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband, Hershel Womack of Tullahoma, daughter, Mary Lynnette Womack of Tullahoma, brothers, Billy D. Allen of Tullahoma, Joe (Nancy) Allen of Nolensville, TN, grandchildren, Jennifer Shea Hutson, Jason Shawn Hutson and 4 great grandsons.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, from 12:30PM until 2:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Mae Phillips Reed, age 88, of Manchester, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thaddeus Ashby officiating.
Burial will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reed passed away at her residence Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Reed was born in Guntersville, AL, the daughter of the late Monroe and Marry Ann Estes Phillips.
She was a homemaker and attended St. Paul Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reed was also preceded in death by her husband, Houston Reed; a daughter, Patricia Ann Lowry; a son-in-law, Earnest Hollon; five brothers, Fred, Jessie, Edward, Houston and Monroe Phillips; and three sisters, Vernia Brown, Lorine Reed, and Valton Vincent.
Clara is survived by one son, Bobby Joe Reed of Manchester; two daughters, Bonnie Louise Hollon of Centertown and Shirley Sue (Roger) Lowry of Manchester; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and two special nephews, Billy and Rammond Heflin.

Becky Newsome, age 55 of Monteagle, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at her nieces home.
Becky attended Tracy City Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gladys Newsome, sisters, Betty Cook and Nell Cornelison, nephew, Charles Cook.
Survivors include her brothers, Buford (O’Dear) Newsome, Monteagle, TN; Cordell (Debbie) Newsome, Tracy City, TN; sister, Ruth (Tony) Bailey, Monteagle, TN; nieces & nephews, Tonya Kimbro, Heather Brewer, Carol Thomas, Reuben Newsome, Clay Newsome, Nat Newsome, Ricky & Edward Cornelison, Walter Cook, and Lisa Taylor.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the Monteagle Cemetery with Minister Carl Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
