Elizabeth Antoinette “Anne” Parker
Mrs. Elizabeth Antoinette “Anne” Parker, age 79, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Monday, August 16, 2021, in Murfreesboro, TN.
Mrs. Parker was born on October 26, 1941, in the Gossburg community of
Beechgrove, TN, to her late parents Earl McKinley Parker and Elizabeth
Jernigan Burks. She worked in Murfreesboro as an office and dental
assistant for over 25 years and in later years worked as a childcare
provider in Manchester. Mrs. Parker was of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her children, Nicky (Yvette) Lowe of Hillsboro,
Yvonne (Mark) Norton of Beechgrove, and Yvette (Kent) McQuiston of Florida;
sister, Beverly Parker of Beechgrove; grandchildren, John Montgomery,
Nichole Baldwin, Hannah David, and Nina McKnight; great grandchildren,
Brooke Green, Pearce and Roxxy David, Harrison and Vivian Montgomery,
Bently Rife, and Bryleigh Baldwin.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from
11:00am until 1:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Graveside
services will be held at 2:00pm following visitation at Beechgrove Cemetery
in Beechgrove, TN, with Pastor Ron Bevels officiating.
John Montgomery, Jimmy Harrell, Jonathan Jernigan, Ashley Bowen, Kenneth
Vassar, Dakota Baldwin, Terry Baldwin, Cory Brady, Timmy Page, and Jeff
Jones will serve as active pallbearers.
James W. Jernigan and Maurice Boyd Jernigan will serve as honorary
pallbearers.

Samuel Evan Dougherty
Samuel Evan Dougherty, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 21. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Private family services will be conducted at a later time.
A native of Tullahoma, Sam was the son of the Jim and Jennifer Dougherty. He was a 2018 graduate of Tullahoma High School where he played baseball and ran track. In 2020, he received his Associates degree in Math at Motlow and had become an avid weightlifter. He was also an upcoming senior at MTSU. However, Sam’s favorite times were spent with his family and his pets.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill “Grandpa Bill” Moger and Jo Anne “Granny Jo” Moger; paternal grandmother, Judy Anne Richardson.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his brother, James Dougherty; paternal grandparents, Sam “Papa” and Carol “Mimi” Dougherty and Doyle and Jan Richardson; aunts and uncles, Susan (Rick) DuBray, Ruth (Todd) Owens, Helen (Chris) Sewell, Trey (Christine) Elder, Tiffany (Bob) Hines, Beth (Brandon) Waller, Jeff (Missy) Richardson, LeeAnn Craig; and many cousins.
He will be sorely missed by friends and family, but especially by his mother, father, his brother James, and beloved pets, Bear, Maggie, Lucy, Pepper, and Oreo.

George E. Robinson Jr.
George E. Robinson Jr., of Tullahoma passed this life on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the age of 79. No services are scheduled at this time.
Mr. Robinson loved nature and enjoyed bird watching and fishing. He was fascinated with the Olympics and collected commemorative pins throughout the years. He was also an avid collector of Murano glass.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jean Robinson; wife, Shirley Robinson.

L.D. Carden
Graveside services for Mr. L.D. Carden will be conducted at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Farrar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Carden passed from this life on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at McArthur Manor in Manchester, TN.
L.D. was born in Noah on January 9, 1925, the son of the late Mitchell and Arizona Elrod Carden. L.D. was an Army veteran serving during World War II in the 85th Infantry Division. He was stationed in Italy, and he received a Purple Heart. After World War II, L.D. went to Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN on a football and basketball scholarship. This is where he met his beloved wife of almost 70 years. Upon graduation, L.D. taught at Coffee County Central High School where he coached football, girls’ basketball, baseball, and later in his career, golf. L.D. was a sports fanatic his whole life and in his later years he really enjoyed watching basketball, football, and baseball. In his past time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing, and going to the beach with his family. Upon his retirement in 1984 he became an avid golfer along with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, L.D. is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Peters Carden; brother, Winfred Carden. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Moore (John); grandchildren, Thomas Carden Webb (Jessica) and Kaili Diamond; nephew, Lloyd Carden; several other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank McArthur Manor for lovingly taking care of L.D. for the past 5 years.

Grady “Gene” E. Haynes
Grady “Gene” E. Haynes passed this life on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at his
residence at the age of 50. Services will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 at
12 PM at Daves Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hopper
Cemetery, Laws Hill, Marshall County, TN. The family will receive friends
on Wednesday, August 18 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of Shelbyville, he was the son of the late Grady and Louise Reed
Haynes. He loved horses and worked as a walking horse trainer. He also
enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He was a jokester and enjoyed teasing
everyone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nephew, Christopher
Haynes.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Haynes of Manchester; daughters,
Selena Haynes (fiancé, Ricky Nelson) of Manchester, Amanda Hickman of
Manchester, Lisa Hernandez of Shelbyville and Amanda Gallegos of Tullahoma;
brothers, Mike Haynes and Thomas Haynes, both of Shelbyville and Johnny
Vaughn of Arizona; sisters, Bessie Diane Bell (Steven) of Manchester,
Melisha Brown (Clifton) of Shelbyville and Becky Haynes of Arizona;
grandchildren, Miranda, Preston, Ethan, Kristen, Josh, Richard, Austin,
Juana, Andrew, Elena, Zack, Kaeson, Lily and Spencer; great grandchildren,
Blayden, Aalayah, Desalyn, Brayden, Joesyphy, Lillith, Noah, Rod-ryk and
Abigail and several nieces and nephews.

Carol Jean Elsworth
Mrs. Carol Jean Elsworth, age 74 of Manchester, formerly of Oshkosh,
Wisconsin, was born on December 1, 1946, to the late Woodrow and Klein
Schmidt Zimdars. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Elwin
Elsworth, who states ths she was ” a gift from God”. Also surviving her is
her son, Jacob Elsworth; daughters, Tanya Elsworth and Candy Santine;
brother, Paul Zimdars; sisters, Linda Minda Mierswa, and Lois Pellinger;
several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Mrs. Carol passed away on Sunday evening at her home after an extended
illness with her husband by her side. As per Mrs. Carol’s request,
cremation was chosen, and no services are scheduled at this time.

Jimmy Charles Burr
Mr. Jimmy Charles Burr, age 85, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Sunday, August 15, 2021, in Manchester, TN.
Mr. Burr was born in Madisonville, TX, to his late parents C.W. “Buddy”
Burr and Elsie Jean Goodrum Burr. He worked for AEDC in Manchester for many
years. Mr. Burr was a Past Master of Hillsboro Masonic Lodge #382 and has
been a Mason for many years. He also loved woodworking making walking canes
and staffs. Mr. Burr never met a stranger and will be missed dearly. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert
Charles Burr and brother, Donald Eugene Burr.
Mr. Burr is survived by his wife of 39 years, Helen Kay Williams Burr;
first wife, Mary Lynn Corbin Haggard; son, James Michael (Cathy) Burr;
daughter, Sharon Lynn Woodard; brother, Dwight Eisenhower (Gloria) Burr;
sisters, Almera McCoslin, Nancy Elizabeth (George) McDonald, and Cynthia
(Larry) Stretz; grandchildren, Anna Woodard, Stone Woodard, Grace Woodard,
Hope Woodard, Matthew Burr, and Megan Burr; cousin, Hillary Goodrum;
several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from
3:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral
services will be conducted on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 2:00pm in the
chapel of Central Funeral Home with Dr. Dean Northcutt and Pastor Evan
Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Morrison Cemetery in Morrison, TN.
Brad Davenport, Chad Williams, Matthew Burr, Stone Woodard, Terry Smith,
and Dwight Burr will serve as active pallbearers. David Howe, Stanton

Thomas Frank Penfold, Sr
Thomas Frank Penfold, Sr. , of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, August 13 th , 2021 at his home at the age of 95. Mr. Penfold was born in Home Gardens, California to the late Vern and Alice McFadden Penfold. He served his country proudly in the United State Navy during World War II and went on to work as a Hydraulic Engineer with Bertea Products. Mr. Penfold also worked for NASA tracking astronauts during the Apollo Missions. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma and loved his Lord and Savior. He also loved farming and spending quality time with his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Penfold was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joan Penfold; four sons, Ken Penfold and his wife Teri, Duane Penfold and his wife Elaine, Ron Penfold and his wife Jacque, and Tom Penfold and his wife Jackie; 14 grandchildren, Julie, Jared, Kellie, Cody, Laura, Casey, Treva, Mandie, Ronnie, Gavin, Christina, Graeme, Gareth, and Maegan; and 26 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19 th , 2021 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00am-1:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 1:00pm with Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating. Ronny W. Atchison, of Manchester, passed this life on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the age of 85. A Graveside Service will be held at Hathcock Cemetery on Saturday, August 14, at 2:00PM.
Mr. Atchison was born in Portland, TN to the late Paul and Edith Atchison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Atchison and brother, Garry Atchison. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Atchison; son, Kevin (Natasha) Atchison; grandchildren, Cole Atchison, Chaya Atchison, and Colby Cornelius.

Nicole Marie Brown
Memorial service for Nicole Marie Brown, age 42 of Beechgrove, will be conducted on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 4 PM in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel. Visitation with the family will begin at 3 PM prior to the service. Nicole passed away tragically, on Sunday, August 8 in Smyrna, TN.
Nicole was born on July 17, 1979, in Murfreesboro, TN to Charles Wayne Brown and Yvonne Marie Maxwell. She enjoyed reading, crochet, puzzles and games, being out in nature. Nicole was fluent in 3 languages.
Nicole is survived by her mother, Yvonne Marie Maxwell; grandmother, Micheline Rhodes; children, Esperanza Marie Rendon, Elizabeth Rendon, Alejandro Jimenez Hernandez, and Enrique Jimenez Hernandez; brothers, Kyle, Edward, and James Maxwell; sister, Rachel Maxwell; aunts, Michelle Rhodes, Maggie Barber, Bernadette Murray, and Claire Wright; many cousins and a host of friends.
