Charles A Skinner

Charles A Skinner of Estill Springs passed this life on Monday, August 23,
2021 at his residence at the age of 73.  No services are scheduled.

Mr. Skinner, a native of Franklin, TN was the son of the late Timothy Maxie
and Millie Graves.  He was a U S Air Force retired veteran.  He enjoyed
fishing, playing golf and was an avid sports fan.  He enjoyed watching the
TN Vols and Florida State play football and baseball.

Mr. Skinner is survived by his wife, Deborah Skinner; sons, Charles A.
Skinner Jr (Katherine); daughter, Kristie Alford (Daniel) and
grandchildren, Timothy and Kyle Skinner, Jeremy Castaldo and Kylie Alford.

James D Duran

Chaplain (CPT) James D Duran of Tullahoma entered fully into the presence
of the Lord on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the age of 60.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM (Central) on Thursday, August
26, 2021 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma. Celebration of Life
service is scheduled for 3 PM (Central). Interment is scheduled for 10:30
AM (Eastern), Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Chaplain (CPT) Duran, a native of La Puente, CA, was the husband of Debra
Lynn Duran, who survives him. They were happily married for 39 years. James
loved the Lord Jesus Christ, his family, his country, and had a special
place in his heart for veterans.

Chaplain Duran earned a BA of Pastoral Studies from Tennessee Temple
University and a Master of Divinity from Temple Baptist Seminary. Chaplain
Duran served for over twenty years in the US Air Force and Army. He served
as a military chaplain overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, and Qatar as
well as stateside and retired with full honors in March of 2019. He had
many interests which included politics, doing projects around the house,
working on cars, deep sea fishing, and driving too fast. He was also a
very active member of the VFW Post 10904 of Manchester. Chaplain Duran
lived his life to the fullest, loved playing with his grandchildren, and
served God faithfully.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Maureena, Jacob
(Jennifer), Grace Lopez (Anthony), Faith, Sophia, and Peter
(Flora); granddaughters, Jaiden, Jordin, Jayla and Avery, and grandsons,
James and Colton; parents, Bernardo and Teresa Duran, brothers, Joel,
Eduardo and Rigoberto Duran; sister, Elizabeth Duran; several aunts,
uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Other surviving family includes his
mother-in-law, Genevieve Noger, sister in laws Diana Noger and Brenda
Nowak, and brother-in-law, Arthur Noger (Kerri Ann), aunts, nieces, and
nephews.

Ronnie Lee Hall

Ronnie Lee Hall of Tullahoma passed this life on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Vanderbilt Tullahoma at the age of 70. Mr. Hall was born in Winchester to the late Willard and Ethel Temples Hall. Mr. Hall graduated from Franklin County High School in 1969, followed by Chattanooga State Community College. He went on to work at UTSI, then ATA for several years as an Engineering Aid. Ronnie was an avid classic car collector of Mustangs, and enjoyed fishing, NASCAR races, Atlanta Braves baseball, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He was also a longtime member of Grundy Street Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall is preceded in death by his half-sister, Bonnie Sue Hill. He is survived by his wife, Anita Gail Hatchett Hall; one son, Clint Hall and his wife Melissa; one sister, Kathy Nunley; and three grandchildren, Loren, Shelby, and Logan Hall. Visitation for Mr. Hall will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 5:00-8:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 25, at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Philip Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the charity of your choice. Kilgore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Linda Ann Rhoton

Mrs. Linda Ann Rhoton, age 77, of Manchester, TN,
passed from this life on Saturday, August 21, 2021, in Manchester, TN.

Mrs. Rhoton was born in Cannon Co., TN, to her late parents Joe and Ethel
Cawthorn. She was a loving mother and caregiver for her family and was the
best mother anyone could’ve asked for. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Rhoton; sister, Sandra Alford;
and brother, Joe Cawthorn.

Mrs. Rhoton is survived by a son, Steven Dee Rhoton, Manchester, TN;
daughters, Teresa Ann (Larry) Christian, Hillsboro, TN, Vicky Diane (Mike)
Curtiss and Renee Dawn Rhoton, both of Manchester, TN; sister, Debbie Hill;
grandchildren, Jennifer, Brandi, Jordan, Chris, Ashley, Cory, and Bailey;
great grandchildren, Madison, Kailin, Brady, Andrew, Bentley, and Gatlynn.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, August 23, 2021, from 12:00
noon until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral
services will be conducted immediately following visitation at 2:00pm in
the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Rhoton officiating.
Burial will follow in Holland Hill Cemetery in Manchester.

Gladys “Guss” Brownfield Kirchner

Gladys “Guss” Brownfield Kirchner, age 93, passed away at home surrounded by family and pets Monday night August 16th, 2021. Originally from Sandwich, IL Gladys moved with her husband to Manchester Tennessee in 1978 to be close to her daughter, grandson, and granddaughter. Always very active and independent she started working at various jobs while still just a child and most recently worked for over 20 years at St. Thomas Hospital in Rutherford County retiring finally at the age of 82. She loved her coffee, her animals, her friends, and her family. She especially enjoyed living on her own in the country watching the wildlife that lived on it and all the little creatures that wandered through it. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, her parents, her husband Patrick Kirchner, her son-in-law W.C. Powers, and her sister-in-law Karol Dewey. She is survived by her brother Ben Dewey Jr., her daughter Sandra Kirchner Powers, her son Kurt Kirchner and wife Milly, her two granddaughters Tamsen and Sasha, her grandson Jim, her three great-granddaughters Ashley, Allison and Rosalind, and great-grandson Xavian, her niece Kelli, her nephew Brad, and many other extended family members. Speical thanks to the close friends who have been so supportive through the years .The family requests that instead of flowers to please make a memorial donation to the Coffee County Humane Society. No public services will be held per the deceased wishes.

Charles C. Anderson

Charles C. Anderson, of Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana, passed this life on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the age of 54. The family will welcome friends for Visitation at Daves Culbertson Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 24 from 11AM until 12NOON with Funeral Service beginning directly after. Burial will take place at Bethany Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born in New Orleans to Mrs. Delores Platt Anderson. He was full of life and loved to dance. He also enjoyed fishing and working out.

Nancy C. Morton

Nancy C. Morton, of Petersburg passed this life on Saturday, August 14,
2021, at her residence at the age of 82. No services are scheduled at this
time.

Mrs. Morton, a native of Otto, New York, was the daughter of the late
Richard and Genieve Taylor Clark.  She was married for 51 years to her late
husband David Jeremiah Morton. She enjoyed knitting on the knitting
machine, crocheting, crafting such as making beaded jewelry, computer games
and collecting windchimes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David
Jeremiah Morton; sons, David Jay Morton and Kenneth Joel Morton Sr.;
daughter, Julie Louise Morton and brother, Jerry Richard Clark.

She is survived by her son, Richard Jeffery Morton (Jo) of Las Vegas;
daughters, Jerri Lynne Morton and Leigh Morton both of Petersburg and Juli
Bain (Billy) of Beech Grove; sister, Beverly Lemon (John) of Olean, NY; ten
grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Ronnie Lee Gault

A celebration of life for Mr. Ronnie Lee Gault, age 73, of Manchester will be conducted at 12:00PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ty Proffitt officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the funeral home.  Mr. Gault passed from this life surrounded by his family and friends that loved him dearly on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at his residence in Manchester.

Ronnie was born in Cleburne, Texas on July 18, 1948, the son of the late Raymond and Sarah Gault.  He worked as a deputy for the Bedford County Sheriff’s Department for many years.  Ronnie loved helping people.  He was always there for anyone that needed him.  Ronnie also enjoyed fishing, his walking horses, going to the beach, and spending time with his family.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Sarah Gault.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Sonia Gault; sons, Justin Gault (Abagayle), Lee Gault (Teri), and Ryan Gault; numerous grandchildren.

Michael Paul Holt

Michael Paul Holt, “Coach Holt” age 65 of Lynchburg passed away suddenly Sunday, August 15, 2021.  He was born April 14, 1956, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Charles and Mary Lou Holt. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother, Steve Holt.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 20th from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday, August 21st from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Lynchburg Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lynchburg Funeral Home Saturday, August 21, 2021. Interment will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery.

Coach Holt started his love of basketball at a very young age with his Father.  Coach played high school sports where he ran track and played basketball.  He attended Motlow College on a basketball scholarship and earned an Associate’s Degree.    Coach Holt then started his Bachelor’s Degree at Ball State University, in Muncie IN where he was active refereeing multiple inter squad teams.  He met the love of his life and married Mary (Okuly) Holt on June 19, 1982.  He then finished his degree at Black Hills University in Spearfish, SD.   He started his coaching career at Faith High School in Faith, South Dakota where he was an assistant girls basketball coach, head boys basketball coach, assistant track coach and taught computer science.  Coach Holt moved to Wisconsin to work on his Master’s Degree in Education and was an assistant men’s basketball coach under Bo Ryan at UW-Platteville, WI.    The family moved to Tullahoma, TN for a year then Lynchburg, TN where he was the women’s basketball coach at Motlow State Community College.  Coach Holt was and assistant women’s softball coach and later became head coach.  He was also the women’s head basketball coach.  He coached many young people in Little League, Junior Pro, and AAU.  Coach Holt then went to Lincoln County High School where he was a teacher, assistant principal, athletic director and head boy’s basketball coach.  Coach Holt went to Grundy County High School and taught wellness and physical education and was head coach of the boy’s basketball program.   Coach Holt was assistant boy’s basketball coach at Tullahoma High School.  Next, Coach was employed by Franklin County High School where he was a teacher and was head coach of both girl’s softball and boy’s basketball programs.  Coach Holt was a family man that was extremely proud of his two sons, Josh and Zach.  He loved his grandchildren and learning about their sports adventures.

Coach Holt is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Kay Holt; sons, Josh (Lara) and Zach (Jennifer McElyea); grandchildren Logan and Kylee Holt; brothers Ron (Cindy) Holt and Larry Holt (Randy); and beloved nephews and nieces Jesse, Casey, Jenny and Jamie.

Marsha Ann Hill

Marsha Ann Hill, of Tullahoma passed this life on Saturday, August 14,
2021, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center at the age of 67. No
services are scheduled at this time.

Mrs. Hill, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was the daughter of the late
R L and Juanita Throneberry.  She enjoyed cooking and watching movies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry
Hill and her brother, Michael Throneberry.

She is survived by sons, Jerry Hill Jr and Paul Hill; two grandchildren and
friend, Mary Jo Anderson.
