11/28/12 — Opal Lee Alcocer
Ms. Opal Lee Alcocer, age 77, of Manchester, passed away Monday at her residence.
She was a native of Fayetteville, TN and the daughter of the late Charlie Price and Nancy Mae Childers. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a son, Vick Alcocer and a sister, Elsie Grant.
She is survived by her children, Adam (Elizabeth) Alcocer of Belton, TX, Eve (Leo) Mitchell of Tullahoma, Jeanne (James) Warren of Tullahoma, Mark (Stacey) Alcocer of Tullahoma, Nick (Amanda) Alcocer Jr. of Tullahoma, Brenda (David) Bell of Tullahoma, Roger (Kathy) Thompson of Estill Springs, Rebecca Rodriguez of Lake Station, IN, Sarah Kaiser of Portgage, IN, Sue Gadness of TX, Jane Raby of Shelbyville, siblings, Doris (Lenzie) Kasinger of Maynard, AR, Mary Anthony of Manchester, G.W. Price of Tullahoma, Caregiver and granddaughters, Tabatha Warren and Ashley Steele, 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00AM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating.
Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery.

11/29/12 — Maggie Lou Maxey
Ms. Maggie Lou Maxey, age 97, of Tullahoma, passed away Sunday at her residence.
She is a native of Granville, TN and the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Stockton.
Ms. Maxey was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Maxey, brother, Willie Stockton, sisters, Ruby Jones and Jean Sanders.
She is survived by two sons, Willie Maxey of Tullahoma, Jerry (Marie) Maxey of Tullahoma, sisters, Matti Abbott Coffman of Estill Springs, Daisy May of St. Petersburg, FL, Grandchildren, Kelly (Dale) Garner of Tullahoma, Danny (Angie) Maxey of Canton, GA and Brian (Merwen) Maxey of Tullahoma, great grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler, John, Sara, Megan and Maddi.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

11/30/12 — Thomas Edward Hice, Sr.
THOMAS EDWARD HICE, SR., age 79, of Tullahoma, departed this life on Monday, November 26, 2012, at Life Care Center in Tullahoma, Tenn., following a brief illness.
Mr. Hice was born to the late, Onman and Florence Shoemaker Hice in Winchester, Tenn.
He was a member of the First Church of Jesus Christ in Tullahoma, Tenn. Mr. Hice was a self-employed brick mason for approximately fifty years.Mr. Hice was active in his church and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Hice, daughters; Laura Lowe both of Tullahoma, Robbie (Randy) Clark of Ringgold, Ga., sons; T.Tom Hice, Gary (Kathy) Hice, Step-son, Michael (Michelle) Fletcher all of Tullahoma, brothers; James Hise of Indiana, Joseph Hise, George Hice, Parker Hice all of Tullahoma and Charles Hice of Selma, Ala., sister, Dorothy Jean Amaral of Huntsville, Ala., 8-grandchildren, 3-step-grandchildren, 10-great-grandchildren, 3-step-great-grandchildren, 2-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the First Church of Jesus Christ, 1100 East Lincoln Street, Tullahoma, TN.
Visitation will also be at the Church on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm.
Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery.

12/2/12 — Paul Frederick Jolly
Paul Frederick Jolly, age 68, of Winchester passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at his residence.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2:30 PM at the Open Door Baptist Church, 2402 Hwy 64 E, Shelbyville, TN 37160.
Paul was born October 13, 1944 in Tullahoma, Tennessee the son of the late Edwin Farmer Jolly and Billie Spakes Jolly Moody.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association. He was a United States Army veteran having served during Vietnam Conflict and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Paul is survived by his longtime special friend, Brenda Wells of Estill Springs; daughter, Janet Stephens of Shelbyville; son, Johnathan Jolly of Manchester; three grandchildren, Sasha, Zack and Joe all of Shelbyville; brother, Pete Jolly of Winchester; sister, Mary (Randy) Ray of Bell Buckle; niece, Luci Ray and nephew, Brent Ray.

Joe J. Jenkins of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, November 25th, 2012 at Life Care Center in Tullahoma at the age of 86.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Springfield, TN to the late Joe and Era Claybourn Jenkins.
During his life, Mr. Jenkins worked for the Carrier Corporation as a tool and die maker, and was also a cattle farmer.
Burial for Mr. Jenkins will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

12/1/12 — Francis “Frank” Clyde Murphy
Memorial Services for Mr. Francis “Frank” Clyde Murphy, age 72 of Beechgrove, Tennessee will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Gethsemane House of Prayer, 6369 Murfreesboro Highway, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Mr. Murphy passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 in Beechgrove, Tennessee.
Mr. Murphy was born June 11, 1940 in Middletown, Connecticut, the son of the late Francis M. and Olive June Kempton Murphy.
He owned and operated a house painting company in Franklin, Tennessee for over 30 years. Mr. Murphy loved collecting antiques.
Mr. Murphy is survived by two step daughters, Michelle Harper of Beechgrove and Brittany Keyt of Woodbury, Tennessee; one step son, Jason Keyt of Beechgrove; special friend and caregiver, Alvin McGill and his wife Georgia of Beechgrove and many other loving friends.

Mrs. Annie Ruth Bateman, age 80, of Lynchburg, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Sullenger and Lucy Jean Sullenger. Mrs. Bateman was a homemaker and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jack Bateman of Lynchburg. Son, Danny Bateman and his wife Teresa of Lynchburg. Grandchildren, Daniel Bateman and his wife Jenny and Barry Bateman and his wife Lindsay. Great-grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Jaycie, Jack and Abbie.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 26 from 4:30- 8:00 at Lynchburg Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, at 2 :00 P.M. at Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Parks officiating.
Burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.
