7/24/14 ——- Gail Murphy
Gail Murphy, age 47 of Shelbyville, Tennessee passed away, Monday, July 21, 2014 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 24 at 11 AM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 9 AM until service time at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
Ms. Murphy, a native of Marietta, Georgia was a cook at Waffle House in Tullahoma.
She is survived by one brother, Dennis Towery of Shelbyville and many special friends and co-workers.
7/23/14 —– Gary “Wayne” Johnson
Gary “Wayne” Johnson, age 52 of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away on July 19, 2014.
He was a Machinist with UTC Aerospace, Inc. in Tullahoma, Tennessee; a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro and a member of the United Steel Workers.
He enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball and UT football.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Mabel Johnson; and maternal grandparents, Edward and Nolen Marbut.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Linda J. McCormick Johnson of Hillsboro, TN; parents, Mark “Hollis” Johnson and Gervis C. Marbut Johnson of Hillsboro, TN; daughters, Angel L. Johnson of Nashville, TN and Hayley M. Johnson of Hillsboro, TN; brother, Mark J. Johnson and his wife Becky of Cookville, TN; his dog Kal-el; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation, Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Martin Bowlin officiating.
Burial will be at the Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery .

7/23/14 —– Jean Ward Montgomery
Jean Ward Montgomery, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, July 20th, 2014 at her residence at the age of 75.
Mrs. Montgomery was born in Moore County, Tennessee to the late Elijah and Maggie Miller Ward.
During her life, she was primarily a homemaker and was a member of Wilson Avenue Church of Christ in Tullahoma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Frank Montgomery; one son, Gary Wayne Jones; one daughter, Janet Holder; and one sister, Hazel Burton.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by two sons, James Richard Montgomery and his wife Teresa of Tullahoma, and Billy Ray Jones and his wife Kristia of Tullahoma; four daughters, Melody Norris and her husband Michael of Los Angeles, California, Deborah Tibbetts and her husband Michael of Unicoi, Tennessee, Sherry Brown and her husband Les of LaVergne, Tennessee, and Patsy Jones of Tullahoma; three sisters, Bernice Finney and her husband Gordon of Estill Springs, Charlotte York and her husband David of Normandy, and Rebecca Demby and her husband John of Tullahoma; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Montgomery will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-9:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Wilson Avenue Church of Christ with Bro. John Payne and Bro. Randy Davis officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
7/22/14 —- Alice Christine Broadrick
Alice Christine Broadrick, formerly of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, July 19th, 2014 at her daughter’s residence in Murfreesboro at the age of 92.
Mrs. Broadrick was born in Tullahoma to the late George A. and Minnie Presley Pratt.
During her life, she worked as a secretary for Genesco and Lockheed Air Craft, and later went to work for TVA where she retired from. Mrs. Broadrick was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered by those who knew her as a great mother and homemaker, as well as a wonderful cook.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 57 years, Howard Broadrick who passed away in 2008; two sisters, Bobbie Weddington, and Ruth Coop; and two brother, George and Gene Pratt.
Mrs. Broadrick is survived by one daughter, Lynn Gentry of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Ethel Taylor of College Station, Texas, and Peggy Beam of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Marie Pratt of Tullahoma; and brothers and sisters in law, Tommy and Julia Maddux of Murfreesboro, and Ruth and Larry Burt of Tullahoma.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014 at 11:00 am at Concord Cemetery with Bro Walter Jenkins officiating.
She will be buried with her Maltipoo, “Baby,” who also preceded her in death.

7/22/14 —- PAUL W. SWANSON
Paul W. Swanson, age 50 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on July 17, 2014 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Paul was a Instrument Technician Engineer at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), a United States Navy Veteran and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Manchester.
He will be fondly remembered as a handsome, happy, intelligent and loving Christian, an exceptional father, extraordinary individual and the “biggest” Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. He was also a gifted, college level athlete in baseball and basketball.
He was preced in death by his parents, the late Walter C. Swanson and Wanda June Lawson Swanson and brother, Carl John Swanson.
He is survived by his sons, Justice Storm Swanson and Dallas Rain Swanson bothof Manchester, TN and their mother, Juana Lai Swanson of Manchester, TN; sister, Rebecca Marlow of Hillsboro, TN; brother, Eric Swanson and his wife Kathy of Manchester, TN; many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester.

7/18/14 —– BRANDI C. SAILS
Brandi was born June 15, 1982 to her loving and devoted mother, Virginia Sails. Her father that raised her alongside her mother was Charles Kilcrease Jr. Brandi took her rest to be with the Lord on July 16, 2014 with her family by her side.
Brandi was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Kilcrease.
Brandi was born prematurely at an astonishing weight of 1 pound and 6 ounces. Although the prognosis looked dim, God showed us what he could do by continually performing miracle after miracle from heart surgery at birth to 28 plus brain surgeries. Dr. David Florence her primary doctor, Dr. Ron Wilson her neurologist, Dr. Robert Mangilardi her pulmonologist, Fulfillment Tender Care, Suncrest Healthcare Services, CSI and her amazing nurses were here angles here on earth. Brandi learned to communicate non-verbally with her family, friends and nurses. To let everyone know she was awake, Brandi would shake her bells and laugh out loud. Brandi loved too listen Christian and Jazz music. She loved being outside, riding in the van, going to her doctor visits with her nurses and most of all her Nana who took exceptional care of her for 10 years. She enjoyed the special things her Nana would do for her like celebrating each and every holiday, dressing up for Halloween was her favorite, going to the fair, going to church and singing songs to her. Nothing would make Brandi smile more than a “Hey Girl” from her Pepa, a “Grandma’s Baby” from her Nana, a “Are you going out tonight?” from her Aunt Clara, a “Shake, Shake, Shake” from her cousin Kandi, or hearing her Aunt Nat come home with her dogs. Hearing her Dad and brother’s voices made everything alright.
Brandi leaves to cherish her beautiful spirit her father Charles (Betty) Kilcrease; brother Charles (Arthea) Kilcrease III; her devoted grandparents Mildred Norman, Lonnie Norman and Claude Rowe; her aunts Priscilla Norman, Shawnda (Steve) Birch, Deborah Guest, Clara Mae Simmons, Burnice Rowe, Zeda Norman and Shirley Norman; her uncles Lonnie Norman Jr., Travis (Wanda) Rowe, Tracy (Kimberly) Rowe, Doug Rowe , Carl Norman, and Willie Brantley. Her favorite cousins Kandi Guest, Lauren Birch, James Pryor Sr., James Pryor Jr. and Edward Pryor, devoted friends Gwendolyn Riddle Carrick, Vicki Orr, Michelle Rivers and Mr. & Mrs. Coy Noblitt, her nurses, and a host of cousins, family and friends.

7/19/14 —- David E. Tomes
Mr. David E. Tomes, age 77, of Tullahoma passed away Wednesday at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.
He was born in Lynchburg, TN to the late Lawrence and Ester Farrar Thomas.
Mr. Tomes was a retired self employed carpenter, a member of the First Church of Jesus Christ where he was a deacon for 42 years. He also was a talented musician. He would play for the folks at Horizon Nursing Home in Manchester.
Funeral services for Mr. Tomes will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Blanton Chapel Cemetery in Coffee Co.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 till 8:00 PM Friday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Tomes and Henry Tomes, a sister, Delia Watkins, grandchildren, Austin, Heather, Drew and Dalton Tomes and one great grandchild, Dakota Tomes.

7/19/14 —- Lillie Mae Rouse
Lillie Mae Rouse of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, July 16th, 2014, her 75th birthday, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.
During her life she was primarily a homemaker and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Estill Springs. She loved to crochet and knit, and especially loved her dog, Sue Sue and taking her for walks.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, John Rouse, who passed away in 1983.
Mrs. Rouse is survived by two daughters, Grace Rouse of Bethel, Ohio, and Jennifer Young and her husband Charlie of Tullahoma; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Joanna, Destiny, Nathan, Jeremy, Christie, and Kayla; five great-grandchildren, Layla, Amelia, Cayleeann, KK, and Kinsley; and her beloved Chihuahua, Sue Sue.
Visitation for Mrs. Rouse will be held on Saturday, July 19th, 2014 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00 am-1:00 pm with the funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Tullahoma.

Mr. Bill Harlow, age 63 of Manchester, Tennessee passed away, Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Medical Center of Manchester.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 18 at 11 AM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. L E Butler officiating.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 17 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
Mr. Harlow, a native of El Centro, California was the son of the late Cebron and Eva Jane Wanzer Harlow.
He was a retired U S Army veteran. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Harlow and one son, James Eczell Harlow.
Mr. Harlow is survived by one son, Robert Harlow and his wife, April of Manchester; one daughter, Amanda Huspen and her husband, Edward of Minneapolis, Minnesota; ex-wife, Connie King of Manchester; three brothers, John Harlow and Kenneth Howard, both Oklahoma and Jim Harlow of Manchester; three sisters, Betty Carmichael and her husband, Roy of California, Linda Adams of Manchester and Tammy Ivey of Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kyle Williams and Colby Harlow and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
