10/4/14 — Jeanie Carter
Memorial services for Jeanie Carter, age 66, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, at the Family Activity Center at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Purdue officiating. The family will receive guest following the memorial service.
Jeanie was born in Tullahoma to the late James and Elsie Poole Glasgow. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Carter, infant son, Todd Alan Carter, brother, Charles “Bill” Glasgow, sisters, Nancy Quick and Gayle Nichols and a nephew, Danny Wayne Quick. She was a former employee of Wisco in Tullahoma where she was an offset printing press operator.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Greg (Sarah) Carter, Jason (Andrea) Carter, a daughter, Cindy Carter, brother, R.D. (Kay) Glasgow, sister, Linda (James) Todd, grandchildren, Ben, Zoe, Hughes, Emmeline, Perri, Addison, Chandler, Ansleigh, Adleigh, several nieces and nephews and many close friends she loved dearly.

Three sisters, Beverly Hall, Rochelle Hall, and Stephanie Hall Chery all of Shelbyville, TN;
Three brothers, Kenneth Bernard Hall of Shelbyville, TN; Tony and Gregory Brown both of Chattanooga, TN. Host of cousins, relatives and friends.

10/2/14 — Shelby Lawson Mizell
Shelby Lawson Mizell, age 77 of Winchester, Tennessee and former Manchester, Tullahoma and Decherd resident, passed away on September 29, 2014 at the Bailey Manor in Winchester. She was a housewife, day care operator and faithful member of the Church of Christ in Coffee and Franklin counties. She worked many years at the East Main Church of Christ Tuesday-Thursday School in Manchester. Later, she opened her own home day care and will be affectionately remembered by many children as “Mrs. Shelby”. She will also be fondly remembered for her enjoyment pf flowers, cake decorating, sewing and cooking. Mrs. Mizell was born in South Fulton, TN to her parents, the late Hubert Lawson and Velma Nettie Reeves Lawson. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Jimmy Lawson and John R. Lawson. She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Kenneth Mizell of Winchester, TN; daughters, Connie D. Pickney and her husband Bill of Winchester; Lisa D. Edwards and her husband Craig of Madison and Tamathy D. Page and her husband John of Mt. Juliet; eight grandchildren, Laura (Bryan) Thompson, Brian (Lisa Marie) Pickney, Kimberly (Chris) Brady, Andrea Pickney, Caroline Edwards, Dustin Page and Nathan Page; eight great-grandchildren, Simon Pickney, Marcy Pickney, Bailey Gipson, Graham Thompson, Garrett Thompson, Noah Brady, Annabeth Thompson and Marshall Brady; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday morning, October 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Ralph Hart and Brother Alan Adams officiating. 10/2/14 — Johnny Wes Brown
Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Wes Brown, age 85, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Lambert and Bro. Franklin Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Farrar Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Brown passed away Tuesday at Medical Center of Manchester.
Johnny was born in Bell Buckle, TN, the son of the late Walter and Beulah Blackburn Brown. He was a walking horse trainer at Steve Hill Stables. He enjoyed playing pool at the Coffee County Senior Citizens Center, gardening, sewing okra with his granddaughter, and especially loved to hear his sons and granddaughters sing. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Louella Brown; two brothers, Oscar and Leonard Brown; and one sister, Cornelia Brown. He is survived by two sons, Johnny (Nancy) Brown of Manchester and Ronnie (Amy) Brown of Beechgrove; two brothers, Franklin (Francis) Brown of Murfreesboro and Harvey (Lounell) Brown of Beechgrove; four grandchildren, Chris (Chenoa) Brown, Heather Brown, Lindsay (Josh) Winton, and Hannah Brown; and two great grandchildren, Ryan and Adie Brown.

Gioletti, age 81, passed away on September, 18, 2014 at her home in Coalmont, Tennessee, surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Brooklyn, NY to her parents, Alexander Frese and Lillian Layer Frese. She is survived by her loving husband, Arnold A. Gioletti of Coalmont, TN; sons, Stephen Gioletti and Joseph Gioletti; daughter, Donna Ahearn; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Louis E. Armstrong, age 87, passed away on September 23, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Beech Grove, Tennessee. He was a retired Sulfur Mining Supervisor and United States Navy Veteran. He was born in Mangum, Oklahoma to his parents, the late Carl Armstrong and Otto Little Armstrong. He is survived by his daughter, Linda J. Castille of Beech Grove, TN; a brother, Phil Armstrong; several grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Quincy Daniel Ralph Russell of Cowan, TN passed Friday, September 26, 2014 at a residence in Cowan. He was the son of the late Lucy Bright and Ralph Russell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Bright. maternal grandfather, Johnny Rowe; paternal grandparents, Ralph Hartsfield and Gracie Mae Russell.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father and loving stepmother, Ralph and Patricia Russell ; brother , Anthony Kelso “TJ” Bright, Jr; maternal grandmother , Bonnie Powell all of Cowan; a faithful childhood friend , Antonio Kennerly. Six aunts and four uncles. Host of other relatives and friends.

Terry Burton age 57 of Lynchburg, passed away Friday September 26, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Lincoln County he was the son of the late Harry T. Burton and Bonita Raby Burton.
He was a member of Jasper Holiness Church in South Pittsburg. He was a Painter. Terry loved fishing, being with his family, loved life and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Walker Burton of Lynchburg, sons; Travis Burton of Shelbyville, Chris Keough of Tullahoma and Coty Irvin of Columbia, daughters; Jennifer Walker of Fayetteville and Angela Irvin of Columbia, brother; Harry Burton Jr. “Bug” and wife Virginia of Lynchburg, brother-in-law R.L. Gattis of Lynchburg, sisters; Marie Gattis and her husband Bobby of Lynchburg, Dorothy Heird of Lebanon, Betty Sue Hickson and her husband Freddie of Shelbyville and Gracie Hunt of Pulaski. Mother-in-law Josephine Walker of Cowan. 10 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, James Rogers, father-in-law James Walker, brother; Jerry Burton, sister; Peggy Gattis and his daughter Kristie Dawn Burton.
The family will receive friends Saturday September 27, 2014 from 5-9 PM and Lynchburg Funeral Home.
Services will be held on Sunday September 28, 2014 beginning at 2 PM at Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sherman Lackey officiating.
Burial will follow in the Winchester Holiness Church Cemetery in Winchester, Tn.

9/25/14 —- Mary Virginia Scott
Mrs. Mary Virginia Scott, age 102, of Tullahoma, TN., passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, at her residence in Tullahoma.
Born in Worcester, Mass., and a resident of Tullahoma, TN., she was the daughter of Clarence Ryan Goddard and Annie Blanche Allen Goddard.
In earlier years she was an X-Ray Tech at Miami General Hospital. She was a hospice volunteer and a weaver.
In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her husband Alfred A. Scott, two daughters Patricia Ann Long and Mary Virginia Scott, stepson William A. Scott, two brothers Harry Boardman and Edwin Allen Goddard, sister Nellie Pope, and two granddaughters Kelly Nichole Scott and Bambi Denise Long.
She is survived by her daughters Cricket Ann (Leon) Rechtman and June Darleen (Chris) Brown, son Edwin Goddard (Tracey) Scott, Grandchildren Scott (Joyce) Long, Dannielle (Michael) Vaughn, Chris Platt, Wendy Martinez, Kathleen Brown, and Trevor Scott, eight great grandchildren and one nephew David (Karen) Boardman.

She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
