12/2/14 ——- Lynda Gale Brown Engelbrecht

Lynda Gale Brown Engelbrecht, age 73 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on November 24, 2014 at the Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.

She was a retired Registered Nurse and a 1970 graduate of Memphis State University. Lynda traveled the continental United States in her career and recieved the Flying Colonel Award from Delta Airlines for flying over 1,000,000 miles. She was a beloved Gator fan and Atlanta Braves fan. She loved and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and her puppy “Gracie Lynn”. Lynda was the most kind hearted, loving, compassionate and God filled woman. She was an amazing mother, “Nana” and best friend to many people. She will live in all of our hearts forever.

Lynda was preceded in death by her daughter, Natalie James; parents, Dorcye Franklin Brown and Sadie Lou Maxey Brown; and brothers, James Brown and D. Frank Brown.

She is survived by her children, Jill Mousavi (Robert Travis) of Manchester, Bill Engelbrecht (Tanya) of Orange Park, FL and Donna Engelbrecht of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, Daren Cash, Bryan Cash, Brandon Cash, Dustin Prince, Austin Engelbrecht, Haley Vandeford, Evan Engelbrecht, Mason Mousavi and Grant Mousavi; sister-in-law, Carla Brown; nephews, Gary Brown and Alex Brown; 1st cousin, Paul and Glenda Laney; special friend, Steve Slay; a great niece, great nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Memorial services for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Connolly, age 78, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 noon until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Connolly passed away at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro on Thursday evening.

Bobbie was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late James Thomas and Mollie Levina Ferrell Vaughan.

She was a retired factory worker.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie was also preceded in death by her first husband, Justin Shelton; her second husband, Mark A. Connolly; seven brothers, Oley Odell Vaughan, James “Claude” Crosslin, James A. Vaughan, Howard Crosslin, Tom Vaughan, Bill Vaughan, and Newt Vaughan; five sisters, Mary Ruth Penn, Clara “Maude” Nowakowski, Christine Rigsby, Pauline Holland, and Jewell Trail.

Bobbie is survived by two daughters, Roxanne (Terry) Buckner of Manchester and Janet Lynn (Eddie) Vanzant of Shelbyville; two sons, Charles Justin (Cynthia Faye) Shelton of Manchester, and Jeffery Scott Shelton of Manchester; and one brother, Johnny Charles Vaughan of Whittleyville, TN and several precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.

11/30/14 — Joe Hollis Cantrell

Memorial services for Mr. Joe Hollis Cantrell, age 81, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Adams officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 AM until time of service on Sunday.

Mr. Cantrell passed away Thursday, November 27 at United Regional Medical Center in Manchester, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Joe was born in Overton County, TN, the son of the late Hillary Alvin and Audie Mae Smith Cantrell. He was a retired sheet metal worker at Carrier in Morrison. Joe served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, was a union steward, and a member of the Executive Board Committee. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and gardening.

In addition to his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by two sisters, Maureen Cantrell Morgan and Alene Cantrell Harner; and one brother, James Alvin Cantrell. He is survived by his loving wife, June Bush Cantrell of Manchester; one daughter, Deborah (Eddie) Youngblood; one son, Danny Cantrell of Manchester; four granddaughters, Amber (Keith) Boehman of Manchester, Kimberly (Barry) Smith of Tullahoma, Patti (Michael) Skipper of Hillsboro, and Tina (Kyle) Newlin of Manchester; four great grandsons, Brent Boehman, Ryan Smith, Connor Smith, Blake Smith; three great granddaughters, Ashley Smith, Haleigh Skipper, and Cara Newlin; and one great granddaughter expected in March 2015, Blakely Boehman, and one sister, Christine (Junior) Fletcher of Manchester.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 850 Fort Wood Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403.

11/30/14 —- Amy Lou Luna

Amy Lou Luna of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, November 26th, 2014 at Life Care Center at the age of 81.

Mrs. Luna was born in Waterloo, Alabama to the late Robert and Betty Smith Higgins.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Manchester and was a Sunday School Teacher for more than 20 years. Mrs. Luna enjoyed playing the piano and loved to sing. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Luna is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ken Luna of Tullahoma; one daughter, Cynthia Luna of New Orleans, Louisiana; two sons, David V. Luna and his wife Nanette of Marietta, Georgia, and Tracy Luna and his wife Tammy of Tullahoma; one brother, Charles Higgins and his wife Bettie of Huntsville, Alabama; five grandchildren, Eric Luna and his wife Rachel, Myles Luna, Davis Luna, Isabella Luna, and Amelia Luna; and one great-granddaughter, Harper Grace Luna.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Kilgore Funeral Home.

11/29/14 —– Dawn Marie Gibson

Dawn Marie Gibson, age 52 of Tullahoma passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Medical Center of Manchester.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 29 from 2 – 5 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

A native of Oaklawn, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Dale Lee and Lorita Frances Adams Draper.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing computer games and visiting with her friends and family.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband, James Gibson of Tullahoma; one son, James J. Gibson of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Ashley M. Gibson of Murfreesboro; three brothers, Shawn Draper and Randy Draper, both of Sumter, South Carolina and David Draper, of St. Louis, MO and one sister, Cindy Fry of St. Ann, MO.

11/28/14 —- Malcolm Wayne Cunningham

Malcolm Wayne Cunningham age 67 of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday November 26, 2014 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center.

A native of Moore County he was the son of the late Jesse Edward Cunningham and Frances Rozell Cunningham.

Mr. Cunningham was a carpenter and a member of Marble Plains Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, watching and feeding wild birds and gardening.

He is survived by a son, Jesse Cunningham and his wife Kari Ann of LaGrange, GA., daughters; Saprine Armstrong and her husband Chris of Temple, GA, Tonya Philips and her husband Chris of Villa Rica, GA, Lori Shelton and her husband Donnie of Lynchburg and Tammy Henderson of Fayetteville. Sisters; Judy Womble and her husband David and Louise Rainey and her husband J.E. all of Lynchburg. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and James Cunningham and a sister, Jean Cunningham and a granddaughter.

The family will receive friends Friday November 28, 2014 from 12 until service time beginning at 2 PM with Bro. Jack Hice officiating burial will follow at Beech Hill Cemetery.

Norma J. Robinson  61, of Tullahoma passed Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Harton Regional Medical Center.

She is the daughter of the late John C. Jennings and Virginia Jennings.

She was preceded in death by her father, John C. Jennings and brother, Jerome Jennings.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Wesley Robinson of Shelbyville, TN;

11/29/14 —— Emma Howard

Mrs. Emma Howard, age 103, of Moore Co., passed away Wednesday at Donaldson Health Care in Fayetteville, TN.

She was born in Moore Co., TN to the late Bob and Nora Sons Cyree. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Howard, four children, H.B. Howard, Dorothy Painter, Adel Cyree, Edward Howard, two brothers, Robert Cyree, Fred Cyree, 2 sisters, Mattie Howard and Leann Howard. Mrs. Howard was a member of the Wilson Avenue Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sawyers will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Hurricane Cemetery in Moore Co.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 till 8:00 PM Friday at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Anita Louise Robertson, age 54, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Alex Robertson officiating.

Anita was born in Waco, TX, the daughter of Bobby (Florence) Polston of Texas and Anita (Dan) Norris of Iowa.

She graduated from Marlin High School in Marlin, TX in 1979. She was currently employed at M-Tek in Manchester. She was previously a corrections officer at the Texas State Penitentiary for 10 years and also a truck driver for 15 years. She enjoyed crafts, including knitting and sewing.

In addition to her parents, Anita is also survived by two sons, Dale (Kathryn) Robertson, of Manchester and Dustin (Brittany) Robertson of Nashville; former husband, Morris “Mo” Robertson, Jr. of Manchester; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Macie, Cooper, and Kaiden; sisters, Lisa, Angie, Sheila, Paula, Brenda, and Shirley; brothers, Eddie and Billy; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Anita’s memory to the Manchester Police Department Children’s Fund, 200 West Fort Street, Manchester, TN 37355.

11/29/14 —– Howard Bennett Lambert, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard Bennett Lambert, Jr., age 73, affectionately known as “Bubba” by his beloved family, will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Charles Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at Welker Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Lambert passed away Monday evening in Manchester.

Howard was born on September 30, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Howard Bennett Lambert, Sr., and Elizabeth Fly Lambert.

“Bubba” was raised in the Smyrna area where he eventually met his bride to be, Miss Thula Crouch, through a mutual friend (Clara Moore). Thula and Howard married on September 29, 1973. As a young man, he had a passion for race cars and race car driving. He displayed a strong work ethic every minute of every day in both his personal and professional life. Mr. Lambert had a dedicated career of 40 years with Batesville Casket Company, a position he retired from in 2013. At home, Bubba enjoyed farming, tending to his cattle, and caring for his beloved vegetable garden. Bubba could often be found on summer evenings on his back porch with his wife and family as they all enjoyed fresh vegetables and fruit from the garden. He enjoyed farm tractors, and he was most fond of his beloved Farmall and Massey Ferguson tractors. Howard valued service to others and often shared his plentiful garden harvest with friends and neighbors each year. Bubba always radiated caring acts or words of compassionate to others. Mr. Lambert’s wise and discerning spirit were often a comfort to others in need of a listening ear. He attended of the Lumley Stand Church of Christ.

Above all, Mr. Lambert adored his wife, family, and extended family beyond measure. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Glendal Ray Crouch; and a niece-in-law, Carrie Blair.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Thula Crouch Lambert of Manchester; one sister, Sue Blair Blanton of Smyrna, TN; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Crouch of Manchester. Also surviving are the following nieces and nephews; Carla Freeze and husband, Greg of Manchester; Kenneth Crouch and wife, Valorie of Manchester; Pam Blair of LaVergne, TN; Pat Parker and husband, Charles of LaVergne, TN; Virginia Haralson and husband, James of Smyrna; Wayne Blair of Smyrna, TN; Jimmy Blair and wife, Tere of LaVergne, TN; and Dennis Blair and wife, Angie of Smyrna, TN. In addition, he leaves behind 11 great-nieces, great-nephews, and 1 great-great niece who affectionately called him “Papa”.

Other survivors include long-time special family friend, Clara Moore Arnold, and her family members. In addition, his darling special girl- Lydia Lanier, and her family.
