1/24/15 —— Juanita Davenport Hannah Clinard Scott
Juanita Davenport Hannah Clinard Scott, age 91 of Tullahoma passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11 AM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pat Allison officiating.
Burial will follow at 2 PM at Giles Memorial Gardens, 140 Bethel Road, Pulaski, TN.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, January 23 from 6 PM – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of McMinnville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Harty Brewer and Nicey Lorene Tenpenny Davenport.
She graduated from Central High School in Shelbyville and then attended David Lipscomb University. She graduated from Draughons Business College in Nashville. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Purity Dairies for 28 years until retirement. She attended Highland Hills Church of Christ, Hoovers Grove Church of Christ and the Church of Christ at Cedar Lane.
Mrs. Scott loved taking care of others and was always the first to volunteer when help was needed. She enjoyed reading her Bible and cooking for family and friends. She was a member of the Lynchburg Home Demonstration Club. She also enjoyed researching genealogy on both the Davenport and the Tenpenny family lines.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Jack, Bill, Charlie, Albert, Jessie and Ralph Davenport; five sisters, Mary Morris, Laurene Hutcheson, Roberta Bass, Leta Morris and Rita Busby and one great great grandchild, Cayson Isaiah Powell.
Mrs. Scott is survived by two daughters, Brenda H. Ryals and her husband, Thomas of Tullahoma and Janice M. Hannah of Nashville; one sister, Joyce Davenport Bobo of Tullahoma; four grandchildren, Mark Ryals of White Bluff, TN, Angela Ryals of Nashville, Jennifer Boyce of Murfreesboro and Heather Spinner of Phillpot, KY; eleven great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Shepard’s House, 712 1st Ave., Tullahoma, TN. 37388
1/23/15 —– Bobby D. Roper
Bobby D. Roper, age 70 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on January 19, 2015 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
He was a retired Maintenance Electrician with Carrier Air Conditioner, Inc. in Morrison, TN and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Manchester.
He was preceded in death his parents, the late Hollis Taylor Roper and Tillie Corinne Freeze Roper; sisters, Patsy Jane Bennett, Betty Joe Roper and Elizabeth Y. Roper; and brothers, Hollis E. Roper, Charles R. Roper, Jack B. Roper and Jimmy D. Roper.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Mealer Roper of Manchester; two sons, Eric B. Roper (Janet) of Tullahoma and B. Keith Roper (Cindy) of Manchester; one daughter, Tara N. Roper-Ludwig (Scott) of Manchester; two sisters, Billye R. Hurlbert and Judy A. Watson; seven grandchildren, Robert Blaine Roper, Gary Taylor Roper, Ashton Bailey Roper, Jonathan Taylor Ludwig, Nathan Edward Ludwig, Madison Nicole Ludwig and Emilee Layne Ludwig; one great-grandson, Justin Taylor Roper; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dean Langford passed away Monday evening at Life Care Center in Tullahoma.
Funeral services for Mrs. Langford will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 AM till service time on Saturday.
1/18/15 —- Jane G. Finger
Jane G. Finger, age 87 of Tullahoma passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at NHC of Tullahoma.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Florida.
A native of New York, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Mary Powell Johnston.
Mrs. Finger had lived for many years in Jensen Beach, Florida but had relocated to Tullahoma due to her failing health. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She was an excellent seamstress who made many of her own clothes as well as clothes for her daughter and men’s suits. While living in Florida, she loved going to the beach and collecting shells. She also enjoyed playing tennis.
In addition her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis G. Finger; one brother, Richard Johnston and three sisters, Doris, Rita and Eileen.
Mrs. Finger is survived by one son, George Finger and his wife, Ellen of Palm Coast, FL; one daughter, Dawn Feather and her husband, George of Tullahoma; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Mai Ferrell, age 80, of Manchester, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in Gnat Hill Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ferrell passed away Tuesday morning at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.
Mai was born in Columbia, TN, the daughter of the late Bill and Hester Phillips Martin.
She was a homemaker and a member of Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and working puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Mai was also preceded in death by one son, Frankie Lee; two brothers, Billy and Perry Martin; one sister, Ann Bryan; and one grandson, Justin Kyle Ferrell.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Birl Ferrell; three sons, Tony Lee of Beechgrove, Charles Lee of Murfreesboro, and Kevin Ferrell of Manchester; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
1/23/15 —– Kevin Wayne Walker
Kevin Wayne Walker, age 59 of Aberdeen, Mississippi and formerly of Nashville, Tennessee and Hudson, New York, passed away on January 17, 2015. Kevin was born in Milford, Delaware on December 17, 1955 to Jimmy and Martha Walker.
He graduated from Huntland High School in 1973. Kevin was a loving husband, son, uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many.
His family recalls that Kevin was passionate about everything he did. It didn’t matter what he did; he did it deeply. He loved history and old architecture. In fact, he restored and sold antiques in Nashville and New York for many years. He was an architectural designer of amazing talent. He was a purist when it came to antiques. “If it came after 1850, it was new,” his mother, Martha recalls. Kevin played a major role in the restoration and furnishing of the State Capitol Building in Nashville. He was so artistic and detail-oriented.
Kevin was an amazing person to know. His wife, Gail, recalls several people saying that knowing Kevin and experiencing life through his eyes was a life-changing experience. “He certainly changed my life,” she says. He was a God-fearing man who took his faith seriously. He was truthful and forthright, too. “If he thought it, he said it,” his family remembers. Like his family, Kevin also had a passion and tenderness for animals…dogs mostly. He would always bring the dogs with him on trips and was thoughtful about their welfare. He got very passionate whenever he spoke of his dogs.
Kevin was preceded in death by two brothers, Kirk and Keith Walker.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 20 years, Gail Walker; parents, Jimmy and Martha Walker; brothers, Kim Walker and Kerry (Angie) Walker; sister, Konnie (Tom) Humphreys; sister-in-law, Karen Walker; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Kevin’s family will receive friends and visitors on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 9am until 11am at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Minister Frank Hollingsworth will preside over a Celebration of Life service to honor Kevin the same day at 11am. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. John Kiser will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

1/22/15 —— HALEY ALYCIA CARDENAL
HALEY ALYCIA CARDENAL, age 18, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life, Sunday, January 18, 2015, from injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Haley was a 2014 graduate of Franklin County High School. She was employed by Tepro, Inc. in Winchester, Tenn. She loved life, family, friends and her pets. Haley had that “happy go lucky personality” and loved to sing. Haley was such a beautiful and vibrant spirit, guaranteed to brighten anyone’s day.
Haley is survived by her mother, Debbie Coats of Winchester, Tenn., father; Keith Cardenal, former step-father; Jimmy Coats of Estill Springs, Tenn., sisters; Ashley Cardenal of College Station, TX and Lauren Shears and her husband, Dwain of Tullahoma, Tenn., grandparents; Stan and Fran Seig of Winchester, Tenn., nephews; Hunter and Gavin Shears, niece; Autumn Shears, aunt; Cori Eidson of Estill Springs, Tenn., uncles; James Seig and Michael Seig both of Tullahoma, Tenn., special friend; Clint Robertson of Winchester, Tenn., beloved boyfriend; Clinton Anderson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2014 from 4:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Mrs. Lemons passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at McArthur Manor.
Betty was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late Lee and Minnie Elizabeth Reed Simmons.
She was a homemaker and a member of Hurricane Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lemons was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Franklin Lemons, who passed away in 2009; two brothers, Cecil L. Simmons and Freeman Banks; two sisters, Lorene Johnson and Pearl Coulter; and one grandchild, Kevin Luneack. She is survived by one son, Donald Ray (Melissa) Lemons of LaVergne; two daughters, Rachel (Jason) Bramblett and Connie (Phillip) Clark, both of Manchester; one sister, Ruth Shelton, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Madison Bramblett of Manchester, Kayla Lemons of LaVergne, Tammy (Sam) Taylor of Bushland, TX, and Jimmy (Jill) Clark of Savannah, TN; two great grandchildren, Brittany Kuehler (Cody) Babcock of Groom, TX and Haley Kuehler of ND; one great, great grandchild, Bailey Babcock of Groom, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
1/20/15 —- Thomas E. Harter
Thomas E. Harter, age 62 of Manchester passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at United Regional Medical Center of Manchester.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 7 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, January 20 from 5 PM – 7 PM.
A native of Noble County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Donald Everett Harter and the late Roseanna Jane Thomas Harter.
Mr. Harter worked as a shipping and handling clerk for many years. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and football.
He continued his love of sports by attending all of his beloved grandchildren’s ball games no matter what the weather. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Daylan Harter.
He is survived by his step-mother, Mary Goings Harter of Florida; three daughters, Kristy Butcher and her husband, John of Auburn, Indiana, Kassy Rollins and her husband, Rick of Garrett, Indiana and Kory Sherrill and her husband, Michael of Manchester; special longtime friend, Becki Delong of Garrett, Indiana; brother, Fred Harter of Florida and twelve grandchildren.

1/21/15 —– Jane Elizabeth Martin – Rucker
Jane Elizabeth Martin-Rucker, age 76 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away into rest on January 18, 2015. Mrs. Rucker was a spirtual, hardworking and independent woman who will be fondly emembered as being "tough as nails", a loving and caring mother and one who enjoyed reading and gardening. She was retired from the Rudy Farms and Beck Arnley/Dana. She was born in Nashville, Tenn. to her parents, the late John Rucker and Tennie Polk Rucker and was preceded in death by her brother, the late James Rucker. She is survived by her daughters, Tina (Steve) Mullins of Nashville, Tenn. and Tammy (Mark) Peacock of Shelbyville, Tenn.; sons, Johnny (Renee) Reynolds of Smyrna, Tenn., Steven (Debra) Martin of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. and Joey Martin of Mt.
