8/22/15 —– Angela Dawn Price-Klein

Angela Dawn Price-Klein, age 44 of Manchester, Tennessee passed away, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Unity Regional Medical Center in Manchester.

No services are scheduled.

Mrs. Price-Klein, a native of Texas was the daughter of the late Marshall Price and Carol Price of Marble Falls, Texas.

She was a U S Army veteran and a cosmetologist. She liked to cook and collect dragon figurines. She was an animal lover and loved to go horseback riding. She was energetic and loved spending time with her children and friends.

In addition to her mother, Carol Price of Marble Falls, TX, she is survived by her veteran --- Flag 2son, Seth Klein of Manchester; daughter, Ashley Rivera of Greencastle, IN; sister, Lori Price of Poway, CA; one grandson and one on the way.

8/25/15 — Dennis Bruce Brandt

Dennis Bruce Brandt, age 53 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at NHC of Tullahoma after an extended illness.

Services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11 AM at Grundy Street Church of Christ with Bro. Ben Flatt officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, August 24 from 6 – 9 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mr. Brandt was born in Manchester, TN on July 5, 1962, to the late Jerome and Georgia Tankersley Brandt. He was a member of Grundy Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed restoring classic cars.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie Luna Brandt of Tullahoma; daughter, Julie Brandt of Tullahoma; brother, David Brandt and his wife, Becky of Ooltewah, TN; nephews, Curtis and Parker Brandt; aunts, Rachel Evans and her husband Stanley of Tullahoma, Doris Tankersley of Tullahoma and Cecilia Crane of Downey CA; parents-in-law, Bill and Ruby Luna of Tullahoma; brothers-in-law, flower 4Charles Luna of Tullahoma and Scott Luna and his wife, Shea of Lawrenceburg, KY and several cousins.

The family would like to sincerely thank and recognize NHC Healthcare of Tullahoma for the excellent service, love and support Mr. Brandt and his family received during his stay.

8/26/15 —– Charles Ben Harvey Sr.

Dr. Charles Ben Harvey Sr. of Tullahoma passed this life on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at his home at the age of 87.

 

Dr. Harvey was born in Rockwood, TN to the late Charles and Margaret Hamilton Harvey.

 

He served his country in The United States Air Force and then went on to become a family physician and partner at The Brickell-Harvey Clinic in Tullahoma. Dr. Harvey was also a dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church.

 

He is survived by his loving wife Sue Lillard Harvey of Tullahoma; 4 sons, Charles B. Harvey Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Tullahoma, Steven Lillard Harvey of vetTullahoma, John Michael Harvey of Columbia, and Robert B. Harvey and his wife Patsy of Nashville; and 5 grandchildren, Kathryn Harvey, Mary Graham Harvey, Robert Harvey, John Harvey, and Alyson Harvey.

 

Visitation for Dr. Harvey will be held on Tuesday, August 25th from 5:00-8:00 pm at Kilgore Funeral Home with a memorial service taking place on Wednesday, August 26th at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma.

8/24/15 —- Patricia D. Saine

Patricia D. Saine, age 59 of Tullahoma passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center.

 

Funeral Services will be held, Monday, August 24 at 4 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby McBee, Pastor Chad Conn and Bro. Danny Bennett officiating.

 

Burial will follow at Hurricane Cemetery in Moore County.

 

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 2 PM until the service time.

 

Mrs. Saine, a native of Tullahoma, was the daughter of the late Vernon Robinson and the late Martha Munsey.

 

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Manchester and also attended Center Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors and especially like to feed and watch the many hummingbirds she attracted. She also enjoyed going fishing. She was a talented painter and enjoyed watching cooking shows on TV with her favorite chef, Julia Child.

She is survived by two sons, Harlan Helton and Johnny Helton, both of Winchester, brothers, Jeff Robinson and his wife, Patricia of Tullahoma, Bobby McBee and his wife, Darlene of Tullahoma, Johnny Munsey of Shelbyville, Chris Munsey of Tullahoma and Leon Munsey and his wife, Darlene of Manchester; sisters, Debra Sue Steel and her husband, Sherman of Winchester and Flora May Rollins of Normandy; three grandchildren, Hannah and Haley Crabtree of Tullahoma and Kinsley Stubblefield of Tullahoma; special aunt, Joyce Massingille of Tullahoma and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

8/24/15 — Junior Boyd Thomas

Mr. Junior Boyd Thomas age 82 of Monteagle passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, at his home.

He was born in Pelham, TN a son of the late Clarence Thomas and Ida Era Layne Thomas and was preceded in death by brothers, Albert Thomas and Edward Thomas.

Mr. Thomas had been a minister for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ava Thomas; children, Michael Boyd Thomas, Mark Thomas, Tracy Falls, Susan Lion, Lisa Whitfield, Tammie Reasonover and Johnny Reasonover; sisters, Mildred Church and Faye Yates; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel.flower 19

Burial will follow in Summerfield Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday 5-9 P.M. and Sunday 8:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

8/22/15 — Jason Dale “Little JD” Ney

Graveside services for Jason Dale "Little JD" Ney, infant son of David Ney
and Chasity Scott, of Manchester, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday,
August 22, 2015 at Ragsdale Cemetery.  

Jason passed away on August 18, 2015 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester.

 

In addition to his parents, Jason is also survived by one sister, Erica
Scott; two brothers, Logan and Dillian Scott; one grandmother, Jean Sons;
and several aunts.

8/22/15 — Dixie Lee Spates

Dixie Lee Spates, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, August 20th, 2015 at her residence at the age of 75.

Ms. Spates was born in Waterloo, Iowa to the late Floyd and Ruth Evans Colvin.

Ms. Spates was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Terry Watkins; one brother, Robert Colvin; and two sisters, Barbara Webb and JoAnn Hawk.

Ms. Spates is survived by two daughters, Kathy Boswell and her husband Larry of Tullahoma and Londa Nelson and her husband Wayne of Tullahoma; one son, John Watkins and his wife Kathleen of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts; one brother, Mike Colvin of Reno, Nevada; one sister, Dellrose Jakobsen of Waterloo, Iowa; five grandchildren, Amanda, Tammy, Adam, Kelsi and Alexander; two great-granddaughters, Jennifer and Emily; three great-great granddaughters, Madeline, Madison and Kaylee; and her companion, Tommy Arp.

Visitation for Ms. Spates will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, at Kilgore Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00 pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 4:00 pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brian Marler officiating.

William David “Dave” Harper, age 65 of Tullahoma, passed away Thursday

 August 20, 2015 at a local health care facility.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at 

Tullahoma Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 2:00 pm.

8/19/15 —- Lisa A. Knowlton-Wilburn

Lisa A. Knowlton-Wilburn, age 60, of Lynchburg, TN passed away Wednesday, Aug 19, 2015 at her residence.

No services are scheduled.

Lisa, a native of Niagara Falls, NY was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dean Long.

She had worked as a Claims Agent for Travelers Insurance for many years. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and taking care of her horse, Sir Charles and her dog, flower 21Angel.

Lisa is survived by her husband, John Wilburn of Lynchburg; three step-daughters, Terry Wilburn of Lynchburg, Tracy Parker and her husband, Tab of Jacksonville, FL and Tangela Taylor and her husband, Matt of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

8/21/15 —- Martha Josephine Fulbright Semmes

Martha Josephine Fulbright Semmes entered the kingdom of Heaven peacefully on August 19, 2015 and is now living the promise of her salvation. We wish to celebrate the life she lived by remembering her smile, warmth, and love for her family and friends.

A native of Bradley County, Mrs. Semmes was a 1958 graduate of Bradley County High School and 1962 graduate of the University of Chattanooga. She moved to Tullahoma in 1964 with her husband, Dr. Frank Wilson Semmes after he had purchased the optometry practice of the late Dr. Edwin L. Barber in October of that same year. Mrs. Semmes with her degree in Elementary Education pursued her passion for teaching and worked for Robert E. Lee Elementary as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher for several years. While at the University of Chattanooga, Marty was a member of Chi Omega sorority. Marty also had a passion for tennis, golf, and was a proud supporter of the University of Tennessee football team and men’s and women’s basketball teams and could be heard cheering Go Vols with great fervor during these sporting events. She was also a huge fan of any/all 50’s music and could be found often singing and dancing in her family’s living room.

She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Frank Semmes, her parents, Mary Fulbright & Judge Mark Fulbright; sisters, Elinor Ledford of Cleveland, TN and Rochelle O’Connor, Schaumburg, IL. She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Hamby and her husband, Craig from Murfreesboro and daughter, Cindy Syphax and her husband Mike from Orlando. Marty’s granddaughters, Emily Grayson and Presley Elizabeth Hamby, grandson, Luke Syphax. Nephew, Jon Semmes of Dunnellan, FL, niece, Stefanie Gramlich, Dunnellan, FL and Dale Ledford, nephew, Cleveland, TN.

We want to let her know that she did a great job as a wife, mother and grandmother and friend while on earth. We will always remember her ability to make everyone she met feel like an old friend. And through her faith and assurance of eternal salvation she has a new, healthy and vibrant body when she entered the kingdom of Heaven.

Friends may visit with the family Friday afternoon at Tullahoma funeral home from 11a.m to 1 p.m with a memorial service to follow. Dr. George Jackson and his wife, Betty officiating.

Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
