9/28/15 — Christine A. Culpepper
Christine A. Culpepper, age 93 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away,
Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma.
Graveside Services will be held Monday, September 28 at 2 PM at Rose Hill
Memorial Gardens with Rev. Paul Purdue officiating.
Mrs. Culpepper, a native of Knox County, was the daughter of the late
Thurman and Lenabell Starnes Ailor. She was a graduate of the University
of Tennessee and always enjoyed watching their football games. She was a
teacher and taught at the Highland Rim School for Girls before teaching at
East Junior High. She was also a substitute teacher for many years. She
was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was very active in
the Crusaders Sunday School Class and the Golden Circle. She was a
seamstress and loved sewing for children. She was an accomplished pianist
and taught piano lessons. She also was active with Habitat for Humanity.
Mrs.
Culpepper loved people and she enjoyed socializing.
In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orian
William “Jack” Culpepper; son, Thurman Wayne Culpepper; brothers, James
and
Earl Ailor and sisters, Kate and Ann Trotter.
She is survived by one son, James Ray Culpepper of Smyrna; one daughter,
Judith Ann Henson and her husband, Larry of Hugo, OK; four grandchildren,
Douglas Alexander Henson of Houston, TX, Garret Henson of Hugo, OK,
Alexander Henson and his wife, Nicki of Houston, TX and Jessie William
Culpepper of Camp Lejeune, NC and four great grandchildren.

9/26/15 — Howard Marlin Branch
Mr. Howard Marlin Branch of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, TN at the age of 67.
Mr. Branch was born January 1st, 1948 in Manchester, TN to the late Abe Branch Sr. and Belle Whipple Branch.
During his life Mr. Branch worked as a plumber, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church who enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, and restoring old cars.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Branch is preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Louie, and Gene Branch; and one sister Shirley Brawley.
Mr. Branch is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Eva Josephine Luttrell Branch of Tullahoma; one daughter, Gina Lynn Coker of Tullahoma; one brother, Abe Branch Jr. and his wife Joyce of Tullahoma; and two sisters, Peggy Berry and her husband Jimmy of Manchester, and Goldie Hemken and her husband Herman of Tullahoma; in addition to several close friends.
Visitation for Mr. Branch will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Kilgore Funeral Home.

David Edward Crocker, age 59, passed away on September 20, 2015 at his home in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
David was a truck driver with A.T.A.; a member of the First United Methodist Church; and a member of the Harley Organization Group.
He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Elvin Crocker and sister, Mary Lee Eaton.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Elaine Matlock Crocker of Tullahoma, Tenn.; mother, Beulah Lee Floyd Crocker of Manchester, Tenn.; son, Nathan W. Crocker and his wife Abby of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; daughters, Nicole L. Crocker Brinkley and her husband Rodney of Manchester, Tenn. and Cassandra E. Bean of Manchester, Tenn.; sister, Joe Ann Hartman (Vert) of Manchester, Tenn.; brother, Elvin M. Crocker (Bonnie) of Pleasantview, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Kaylyn Brinkley and Karly Brinkley both of Manchester, Tenn. and Cash Crocker of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Chance Douglas Moore, age 24 of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away on September 19, 2015.
Chance loved working on cars, the culinary arts, music and playing the guitar. He worked for Van Ron and McDonald’s in Manchester.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas William Moore; grandfather, Gerald Douglas Wildes; grandmother, Clara Nell Smith; aunt, Loretta Smith; and uncle, Joey Moore.
He is survived by his mother, Dona B. 9/25/15 —- Charles Edward Brown
Charles Edward Brown, age 87 of Manchester, Tennessee passed away, Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Horizon Health and Rehab Center.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 25 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Bro Howard Carroll officiating.
Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until the service time.
Mr. Brown, a native of Ballard County, Kentucky, was the son of the late Rupert E. and Ethel DeWeese Brown.
He was a U S Army Veteran and a retired minister and evangelist. He and his family made up the “Singing Browns”, a traveling gospel group. He also was an auto mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing guitar and singing and reading his Bible.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lee Brown and one sister, Rosa Lee Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia C. Brown of Manchester; sons, Robert Brown and his wife, Bev of Heartland, MI, David Brown of Niles, MI, Jimmy Brown and his wife, Judy of Berrien Springs, MI and Richard Brown and his wife, Suzie of Manchester; daughters, Judy Moses and her husband, Robert of Niles, MI, Elizabeth Roach and her husband, David of Ten Mile, TN, Kathie Banicki and her husband, Ernie of Niles, MI, Lu Brown of Niles, MI, RosaLee Velez and her husband, Carlos of Greendale, IN and Robin Lovvorn and her husband, Randy of Murfreesboro; twenty grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Vicky Glosson Hereford, age 65, of Tullahoma, passed away Tuesday at her residence.
She was born in Bedford Co., TN to the late James Harold and Lucy Mae Burrow Glosson Sr. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ray Hereford, a brother, James Harold Glosson Jr. and a sister, Mechell Sudberry.
Vicky was a former supervisor at Deutsch in Tullahoma.
Vicky is survived by her daughter, Kelly Hereford, brother, Brent Glosson, sister, Jan Glosson Black, sister in law, Rita Storey, grandchildren, Jaela and Ja’Kari Waters, nephew, Tommy ( Shannoah) McAdams and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

9/25/15 —- Johnnie Pearl Hastings
Johnnie Pearl Hastings, of Manchester, passed this life on Monday, September 21st, 2015 at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville at the age of 77.
Mrs. Hastings was born in Coffee County to the late Edward Paul and Lena Mae Driver Nowlin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Hastings; two sisters, Peggy J. Cid and Laura L. Nowlin; and one brother, Edward Paul Nowlin Jr.
Mrs. Hastings is survived by her daughter, Sue A. Talley and her husband Chris of Manchester; two grandsons, Tristan and C.J. Talley, both of Manchester; step-daughter, Patricia A. Parker of Shelbyville; step-son, James Taylor Hastings of Shelbyville; one sister, Ann Sartain of Manchester; one brother, George Nowlin and his wife Sherry of Shelbyville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th, 2015 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Burial will follow at a later date at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.

9/23/15 —- Edith Ellen Haggard
Mrs. Edith Ellen Haggard, age 79 of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, September 20, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Haggard was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Raymond Haggard, parents, Freddie Albert and Mary Lela Harmon Hansert, one sister, Mary Helen Hansert Stroud, one brother, Freddie Martin Hansert, and great grandson Matthew Brown.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Roberts, Renee Haggard, one son Ray Haggard, one brother, Norman Edward Hansert and wife Norma Jean, five grandchildren, LeBron Haggard and wife Angie, Christopher Haggard and wife Stacey, Connie Roberts Koon and husband Chris, Natalie Haggard Brown and husband Matt, Elissa Woodard, and nine great grandchildren all of Manchester, Tennessee.
Mrs. Haggard was a member of the Forest Mill Baptist Church for over twenty years. Edith was a dedicated wife and mother. Cooking large family meals and sewing were her passions. She enjoyed caring for her roses and flowers. Her faith and her family were her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith Haggard will be conducted on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Marvin Davenport and Brother Tim Garrett officiating.

9/23/15 —- Betty Jo Burgess
Mrs. Betty Jo Burgess age 74 of Hillsboro TN passed away Sunday, September 20 at her residence.
A native of Lincoln County she was a daughter of the late Earl Thompson and Teenie Smith Thompson.
Mrs. Burgess was a member of College St. Baptist Church in Tullahoma. She was a homemaker who enjoyed watching television, tending to her flowers, and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by husbands Erskin Owens, and Harold F. Burgess; son, Lawrence Wayne Owens; stepsons, Hal Burgess, Carter Burgess, and stepdaughter, Carlotta Hill.
Survivors include her son, Gary Owens and wife Peggy of Moore County; daughter Judy Money and husband Bobby of Hillsboro; stepsons Ronald Burgess and wife Carolyn of Tullahoma, and Roger Burgess of Tullahoma, and step daughter Debbie Taylor of Tullahoma.
The family will receive friends Tuesday September 22, 2015 from 5-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 23, 2015 at 2 PM with Bro. Randall Harmon officiating.
Burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.
9/26/15 — Kathryn Ann Abicht
A Memorial Service Visitation for Mrs. Kathryn Ann Abicht, age 74 of Manchester, will be conducted Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Abicht passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Temple, Texas while visiting her son.
She was born October 1, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Fredrick Rudolph Kleb and Anne Smithberger Kleb.
In earlier years, she was employed as a secretary for Mahone Tire Company in Ohio. She always enjoyed outdoor activities as well as reading. She enjoyed listening to music, especially anything by Elvis, as she was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She was a member of the Catholic faith. She has resided in Manchester, TN the past 15 years, where she will be deeply missed by her Kingwood Arms family.
Mrs. Abicht is survived by four children, William Thomas “Bill” Vandegrift and wife, Irene of Copperas Cove, TX; Michael Vandegrift of Charleston, WV; Theresa Ann Sheppard and husband, Paul of Manchester, TN and Sandra Lynn Berlin of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Patricia Young and husband Larry of Marietta, OH.
