11/04/15 — Elsie Jean Mason
Mrs. Elsie Jean Mason age 79 of Lupton City passed away Saturday in Erlanger Medical Center. She was born in Decherd, TN, a daughter of the late Malvern Tate and Elsie Harris Tate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Mason, siblings, Robert “Buddy” Tate, Margaret Edwards and Virginia “Carolyn” Brown. She was a retired LPN and had worked at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital for many years.
Survivors include her children, Carla (Robert) Chilson, Michael Mason and Rebecca (Benjamin) Hill; special beloved in-laws, Willis (Geraldine) Mason, Donald Mason, Elizabeth (Roger) Mullins, Linda Blue, Larry (Kimberly) Mason, Faye (Bob) Bolton; grandchildren, Rebekah Buchanan, James Buchanan, Aaron (sarah) Buchanan; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, James, Jason and Timothy.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Mark Bassett officiating. Burial will be in O’Dear Cemetery in Sewanee. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Buchanan, James Buchanan, Richard Brown, Reece Mullins, Christopher Mullins and Brian Benson. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 P.M.

11/07/15 — Kathryn Cecile Ingleberger
KATHRYN “KATHY” CECILE INGLEBERGER, age 67, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life, Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Harton Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 16, 1948 in Galveston, Texas to the late Karlton and Rita Mayville Kinman. Mrs. Ingleberger was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Mike Ingleberger of Estill Springs, Tenn., daughter, Jennifer Fisk of Estill Springs, step-son, Jeff Ingleberger of Las Vegas, NV, step-daughter, Michelle Harris of Oregon, 7 grandchildren; Austen, Ethan and Noah Fisk, Selina, Ethan and Nathan Ingleberger and Mariah Harris, brother, Junior Kinman of Angleton, Texas. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Bobbye Gordon Bush
Mr. Bobbye Gordon Bush, age 80, of Manchester, passed away on October 25,
2015 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester. Private memorial services will
be conducted at a later date.
Mr. Bush was born in Summitville, TN, the son of the late Kelly Walter Bush
and Dora Hobbs Bush. He served his country in the United States Army and
was a self-employed cabinet maker. He enjoyed fishing and talking on the
telephone.
In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by one son and
daughter-in-law, Steven Kelly Bush and Terri Bush. He is survived by his
loving wife of 56 years, Betty J. Beard Bush of Manchester; two sons, Barry
Alan (Melissa) of Hillsboro and Ken (Tammy) Bush of Tullahoma; two
daughters, Laura Matlock and Mona Bush, both of Manchester; one sister,
Billie Bush of Tullahoma; nephew, Tommy Hennessee of Texas; grandchildren,
Dana (Matt) Wrisner, Darla (Terrance) Dodson, Kyle and Blake Bush, and
Jeremy Freeze; and great grandchildren, Corey Swann, Chloe Wrisner, Eli
Wrisner, and Jace Dodson.

Steven P. Helmuth
Steven P. Helmuth, age 49 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away, Friday,
October 30, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville. Memorial
services will be held at a later date.
A native of West Covina, CA, Mr. Helmuth was the son of the late Sammy
Helmuth and Linda Campbell of Tullahoma. Mr. Helmuth had worked as a
Quality Inspector at M-TEK in Manchester. He attended the First Baptist
Church of Tullahoma and loved playing computer games, watching movies and
spending time with his grandkids. He especially enjoyed singing and
entertaining his family while on long car rides.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Steven Paul
Helmuth II.
In addition to his mother, Linda Campbell and her husband, Ken of
Tullahoma, he is survived by one son, Joseph Helmuth of Indiana; two
daughters, Ashli Helmuth of Missouri and Sarah Helmuth of Tullahoma;
daughter-in-law, Alyssa Couch of Indiana; one brother, Ed Helmuth of Japan;
two sisters, Terrica Carlson of Minnesota and Tammy Therriault and her
husband, Dave of Huntsville, AL and seven grandchildren.

Richard William “Dick” Spears, age 81 of Morrison, Tennessee, passed away
on October 29, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Spears was
a retired farmer, United States Air Force veteran and member of the
Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jayne
Fults Spears who passed away in 2008; parents, Edward Carmack Spears and
Martha Frances Sain Spears; son, Edgar Collins Spears; and daughter, Fran
Spears. He is survived by his daughter, LaDonna Kim Spears; son, William
Jeffery Spears; three grandchildren, Matthew Collins Spears (Katie Anne),
Katherine Ann Spears and Bethni Lenee Spears; brothers, John Spears and
Danny Spears (Mary); sister, Mary Frances Spears Rigsby (Bryce);

10/30/15 — Ernestine Hamby
Mrs. Ernestine Hamby, age 70, of Pelham, TN., passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015. She was the daughter of the late W. D. and Georgia Mae Nunley Meeks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Douglas Meeks.
She is survived by her husband Doyle Hamby of Pelham, TN., daughter Sandy Hamby of Pelham, TN., son Kent Hamby of Coalmont, TN., six grandchildren Becky Nunley of Pelham, TN., Tonya (Matthew) Garner of Pelham, TN., Drake Hamby of Franklin, TN., Lyndse Hamby, Kaycee Hamby, and Patrick Meeks, three great grandchildren Taylor Arce, Madeline Hendrix, and Lane Garner, a sister Janice Van Hooiser, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation for Mr. Michael Phillip Di-Novo, Sr., age 71, of
Beechgrove, TN, will be conducted from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday,
October 28, 2015 at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Di-Novo passed away on
Monday, October 26 at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Michael was born in Albany, NY, the son of the late Emmanual and Christine
Dedes Di- Novo. He served his country in the United States Army and was a
retired mechanic for Richard Onderka. Loving life in general, Michael also
enjoyed singing, cars and motorcycles, and being outdoors.
He is survived by six sons, Michael, Jr., Bart, Paul, Russell, Christopher,
Phillip and Jeremy Di-Novo; grandchildren, Zachary, Faith, Krystal, Candi,
Beronica, David, Luke, Shelby, Justin, Jesse, Kaylee, and Alicia; great
grandchildren, Jason, Cameron, Eli, and Heather; three brothers, Sonny,
Paul, and Christopher; and three sisters, Carol, Angie, and Jacqueline.

Funeral services for Mr. Franklin Eugene Ferrell, age 95, of Hillsboro, TN,
will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Manchester
Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Harrison officiating. Burial will follow
in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Ferrell family will be
from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mr.
Ferrell passed away Monday, October 26 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Ferrell was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Bertha
Strawn. Franklin served his country in the United States Army and was a
retired carpenter for General Motors in Muncie, IN. He was a member of
Hillsboro Church of Christ, and loved carpentry work, gardening, wrestling,
watching old western movies and reading western books.
Franklin is survived by his wife of 17 years, Dorothy M. Hargis Ferrell of
Hillsboro; seven children, Gary (Alma Jean) Ferrell of Hillsboro, Larry
(Sherrill) Ferrell of Batavia, OH, Samuel Houston (Mary) Tenpenny of Muncie,
IN, Autry (Christina) Ferrell of Hillsboro, Raymond (Suetta) French of
Springfield, OH, William (Toni) French of North Bend, WA, and Shane French
of Shelburn, IN; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great,
great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
In addition to his mother, Franklin was also preceded in death by his first
wife, Dorothy E. Markum Ferrell; step son, Dale French, step daughter, Ruth
Ann Whitson; one sister, Estelle Bryant; and one grandson, Darren Ferrell.

Banks, Evelyn Marie, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, October 26th, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 88. Mrs. Banks was born in Franklin County, Tennessee to the late John T. and Vesta Estelle Holder Huddleston. During her life she worked at George Dickel Distillery in Quality Control, retiring in 1998 and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Banks; one brother, Thomas Ray Huddleston; two sisters, Helen Lucille Evans and Mary Sue Arnold; and one great-grandchild, Taylor Colvin. Mrs. Banks is survived by one daughter, Vicky Colvin and her husband Robert of Tullahoma; two sons, Kenny Banks and his wife Suzanne of Tullahoma and Randy Banks of Tullahoma; daughter-in-law, Darlene Banks of Tullahoma; two sisters, Mildred Knight of Moore County, and Christine Hodge of Tullahoma; nine grandchildren, April Norris, Robbie Colvin, Shane Colvin, Cheslyn Nester, Clay Banks, Chase Banks, Chance Banks, Aaron Banks and Adam Banks; and 15 great-grandchildren, Caleb Norris, Cole Norris, Kylee Norris, Riley Colvin, Logan Colvin, Reece Colvin, Ryder Colvin, Wyatt Colvin Levi Colvin Bailee Banks, Kennedy Banks, Gracyn Banks, Hadley Banks, Payton Nester and Casen Nester. 10/28/15 — Nell Harris Moffitt
Nell Harris Moffitt, age 96 of Estill Springs, TN passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma. Born in Elkton, KY, she grew up in a large, loving, musical family and attended elementary and high school in Guthrie, KY. Ms. Moffitt was a graduate of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and George Peabody College in Nashville, TN where she received her B.S. degree with a major in elementary music. She did graduate studies at Peabody College, University of Chattanooga and Belmont College. Ms. Moffitt married the late, Orvil Lee Moffitt of Clarksville, TN in 1941. Nell began her teaching career as music supervisor for the Montgomery County Schools in Clarksville, TN. Then for many years, she taught elementary music in the Dalton Public Schools in Dalton, Georgia. Also in Dalton, she directed children and junior choirs and music for Children’s Sunday School Department at Dalton First Methodist Church. She was a bible leader for Dalton ME church women’s circles and received lifetime membership in Women’s Society of Christian Service. Ms. Moffitt taught at Nashville Brockmead Elementary, a model school sponsored by the federal government. She was the chairman of the committee for the selection of music textbooks for the State of Tennessee. Nell and Orvil moved to Tullahoma in 1969 when Motlow College began, where Orvil started the music department and was chairman of the Humanities Division. Ms. Moffitt taught elementary school music in the Tullahoma City Schools until retirement in 1984 and was a member of Coffee County Retired Teachers Association. They joined the First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma in 1971. It met the needs they felt then and felt now in Christian Worship. They lived on Tims Ford Lake in Estill Springs, TN, where they enjoyed not only their boys, their families and grandchildren, but lots of swimming, boating, fishing and traveling. Her hobbies included: music, gardening, flower arranging, swimming, boating, fishing and calligraphy.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Orvil Lee Moffitt; parents; brothers and sisters. Survived by her three sons, and there families Leland and Louisa in Atlanta, GA, Mike and Nancy in Jasper, Georgia and Eddie living in Estill Springs, TN; 7 grandsons, John, Kit, Will, Matt, Andy, Derek and Jeremy; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma, TN.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma, TN with the Rev. Stephen Yates officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Tullahoma Funeral Home. Interment will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. in Glennwood Cemetery in Elkton, KY.
