7/23/16 — Martha Helen Saine

flower 21Funeral services for Martha Helen Saine, age 64, of Plano, TX, will be
conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Manchester Funeral
Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Manchester City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at
the funeral home. Mrs. Saine passed away at her residence on July 11,
2016.

Martha was born in Memphis, TN, the daughter of the late Clarence Price
and Evelyn Meadows Saine.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by a brother,
Thomas P. Saine. She is survived by her sister, Susan S. Dignam and her
husband, David; her brother, Robert E. Saine and his wife, Kathleen; and
nephews, Peter and Jeremy Saine.

Bruce-Adams-1468849516Mr. Bruce Adams, age 66 of Tullahoma, TN passed away on July 15, 2016 at
Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Adams was born in Franklin County, TN on July 9, 1950 to the late Homer
Lee and Stella Grooms Adams.

A machinist, Mr. Adams recently retired from Schmiede Corp. in Tullahoma,
TN after a 43 year association.

A graduate of Franklin County High School, he was a member of First
Christian Church in Tullahoma. Bruce was an avid sports enthusiast. He
coached his daughters and many area teams including church league
basketball and Little League. He was a faithful supporter of Riverdale High
School football and wrestling. His hobbies include gardening, farming and
Nascar racing.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 46 years Debbie Grant Adams of
Tullahoma, TN; daughters Deena Marie Cruz of Murfreesboro, TN; Beth
(Steven) Lane of Wentzville, MO; sisters Sandra Flippo of Tullahoma; Shelia
Adams of Tullahoma, TN and Sharon Jones of Huntsville, AL; brothers Wayne
(Gudrun) Adams of Woodbridge, VA and Don (Faye) Adams of Tullahoma, TN.

Also surviving are grandchildren Patrick, Joshua and Maddie Cruz of
Murfreesboro, TN and Jaxson Lane of Wentzville, MO. Several nieces, nephews
family and friends.

Visitation with family will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, July
19, 2016 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held
at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the funeral home’s chapel. Burial
will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Bro. Larry Sanders will
officiate.

7/18/16 — Joe Moon

moonJoe Moon of Tullahoma passed this life on Thursday July 14th, 2016 at
the age of 66. Joe was born in Tullahoma to the late Ira E. and Lavelia
Smith Moon. He was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where
he majored in Recreation and Leisure Administration. Joe started working
with the Tullahoma city government on February 24, 1975 as a Recreation
Center Supervisor and was promoted to Parks and Recreation Director in
March 1988, serving until he stepped down in June 2000. He retired on
March 2, 2015 as the Recreation Superintendent and started working part
time the next day at CD Stamps Community Center. He was a member of First
Christian Church in Tullahoma and was an avid Alabama fan (Roll Tide!).
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his
grandparents, MB and Lelia Smith. He is survived by his sister, Brenda
Moon of Tullahoma and many loving and dear friends. Visitation will be
held on Sunday, July 17th, 2016 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00pm.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18th, 2016 at 3:00pm in the
Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Murdock officiating. Burial
will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jerry
Mathis, Kurt Glick, J.P. Kraft, Terry Pockrus, Mikey Anderson and Jeff
Lester. Employees of the City of Tullahoma’s Parks and Recreation will
serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Following the burial, all are invited to
London’s Sports Bar in Tullahoma for a celebration of Joe’s life. In lieu

7/15/16—James Jimmy T. Berry

James “Jimmy” T. Berry, age 83, of Manchester passed away July 12, 2016.
A native of Tracy City, Tennessee and resident of Manchester, he was the
son of the late Thomas and Lucille Willis Berry. He attended the Faith
Freewill Baptist Church and retired as a truck driver and car salesman
with Mid TN Auto Brokers. After retiring, he continued buying and selling
cars, even up to two weeks prior his passing, by helping his “16” year
old granddaughter find her special first car. Jimmy was a self made man,
loved to talk to everyone, knew just about everyone, loved to travel and
see new places. He simply “liked” people, but most of all he loved and
took great care of his family.
Mr. Berry was preceded in death by a son, James Thomas Berry Jr. He is
survived by his wife: Peggy Joyce Berry of Manchester, Tennessee, 3
children; Cindy Medford, of Deltona, Florida, Chris Berry, of Manchester,
Tennessee and Melissa Blackburn of Manchester, Tennessee, 4
grandchildren; Josh Medford, West Hollywood, California, Greg Medford,
Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Hope and Noah Blackburn of Manchester,
Tennessee, 1 great-grandchild; Hudson Medford, and 1 sister, of Louise
Morgan, of Hillsboro, Tennessee.

VISITATION: Thursday, July 14, 2016, 5 until 8:00 P.M.

FUNERAL: Friday, July 15, 2:00 P.M.

7/16/16 — Sara Elizabeth Allen

allenSara Elizabeth “Liz” Allen, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday,
July 12th, 2016 at her residence at the age of 95. Mrs. Allen was born in
Shelbyville, Tennessee to the late William and Sara Puckett Grooms.
During her life she managed the Kenwin Shop in Tullahoma and also worked
at JC Penny’s until she was 85 years. Mrs. Allen was a member of the
Democratic Women, was a former President of the Tullahoma Lady Lions and
was also a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen; one
son, Tommy Allen; one sister, Annie Mae Stephens; and one brother, Sonny
Grooms. She is survived by one daughter, Gail Mason of Tullahoma; two
sons, Gary F. Allen and his wife Theda of Lynchburg, and Donald Glen
Allen and his wife Cathy of Lebanon; grandchildren, Donna Palmer and her
husband Duane, Michael Jernigan, Michelle Hamlin and her husband Sean,
Marsha Hedge, Devon Tessier and her husband Rob, Jennie Pugh and her
husband David, Kevin Mason and his wife Amy, Stephanie Sexton and her
husband Brian, Evelyn Derisso and her husband Tony, and Robert Allen; 18
great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation for
Mrs. Allen will be held on Friday, July 15th, 2016 at Kilgore Funeral
Home from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July
16th, 2016 at 10:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. J.
Herbert Hester and Pastor Kevin Mason officiating. Burial will follow at

7/10/16 — Dorothy Leona Thompson

flower vase 3Dorothy Leona Thompson, age 93, born February 20, 1923, to the late Grant
and Viola Dobbs of Dayton, Tennessee. She resided in Hillsboro, Tennessee
and was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Thompson. Also preceded
in death were 4 sisters; Beulah Burton, Ruth Porter, Francis Dobbs, and
Kathryn Higgins, 3 brothers; Grant Dobbs, Paul Dobbs, and Ralph Dobbs.

Dorothy was a member of the White Oak Grove Church of God. She worked in
the Federal Civilian Service at the Aero Research Center before retiring.

Dorothy is survived by 2 sons; Guy and Vicki Thompson, of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, and Steven Thompson of Hillsboro, Tennessee, 5 grandchildren;
Jeff and Kim Thompson, of Manchester, Tennessee, Lydia and Jim Welch, of
Norman, Oklahoma, Melisa Thompson, of Knoxville, Tennessee, Steven and
Laura Thompson, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, and Laura and Paul McDonald of
Midwest City, Oklahoma, 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and
friends.

Mr. Barlow passed away Friday, June 8, 2016 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN after an extended illness.

J.W. was born on June 28, 1945, to the late John Houston and Beulah Bell Cornelsion Barlow in Bedford County, TN. He was a retired truck driver with Zilly Transportation.

In addition to his parents, J.W. is also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Leon Barlow. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Elizabeth McMeill Barlow of Manchester; four daughters, Vondaolyn (David) Jennette, Shannon Lester, both of Murfreesboro, Joy (Jamie) Turner of Nashville, and Michele Love of Morris Town, TN. J.W. is also survived by two brothers, Billy Barlow of FL, Joe Barlow of Murfreesboro; and five sisters, Gracie Cooper, Sarah Goad, both of Murfreesboro, Dorothy McCullough of McMinnville, Claudine Johnson of Readyville, and Minnie Pike of Morris Town; thirteen grandchildren, Nathaniel and Stacy Jennette, LeeAnn Lewis, MaryAnn, Christie and Shelby Turner, Michaela, Marcus, McCord and Maggie Grace Love, Jennie, Emily, George Lester; and four great grandchildren, Emmaline Huppert, GraceLynn Reynolds, and Hailey and Anthony Lewis.

Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, July 8th after a brief illness at
Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Libby was
born on Friday June 17th in Murfreesboro, TN. In addition to her
parents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents Chet and Janet
Logan of Ooltewah, TN; her maternal grandparents Mike and Emily
Rutherford of Tullahoma, TN; her maternal great grandmother Donna Frazier
of Tullahoma, TN; and a host of loving extended family members and
friends. Services will be held Sunday, July 10th at Kilgore Funeral Home
in Tullahoma, TN with Pastor Diane Stoker officiating. Visitation with
the family will be from 1:30-3:00pm with the funeral service following at

7/11/16 — Ella Mae Davison

davisonFuneral services for Ella Mae Davison “Granny”, age 82 of Manchester, will be conducted on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Forest Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Ms. Davison passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Centennial Medical Center.

Ms. Davison was an employee of Unity Medical Center for 15 years where she was known as “Granny” for baking cookies that would smell up the entire hospital. She loved reading, decorating and working word search puzzles. She also enjoyed crocheting and watching John Wayne and Turner classic movies. She will be greatly missed by her family and by all that knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lankford and Bessie Jernigan; her husbands, Jerry Gaultney and Joe Bill Davison; son, Randy Davison; brother, Harry Jernigan; sister, Maymie Holder. Survived by her daughter, Geraldine “Dean” Foster; sons, Lloyd Gaultney (Peggy), Billy Wayne Davison (Staria), Donald Davison (Sheba); brothers, Lonnie Charles Jernigan, Raleigh Jernigan, Billy Jernigan, Bobby Jernigan; sisters, Edna Irene Smith, Mary Ruth Mullins; grandchildren, Michael, Lloyd, Katie, Christina, Katrina, Sheena, Taylor, Elijah, Russell; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
