8/8/16 — James Harley Farless
James Harley Farless born June 21, 1930, to the late George and Sally Farless passed away August 5, 2016. He resided in Manchester with his wife Sadie Farless. James was preceded in death by 6 sisters; Pearl Reed, Doyle May Vaugh, Louis Floyd, Pauline Lewis, Myrtle Frazier, and Helen Reed, 5 brothers; Joe, Monroe, Hall, Loyd, and Howard Farless. James is survived by 3 sons; Royce, Aaron and Teresa, Timmy and Patty Farless, 5 grandchildren; Jeremy, Farless of Lynchburg, Tennessee, Cortney Farless of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Miranda Farless of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Jacob Farless, of Manchester, Tennessee, and Jennifer Harrell of Hillsboro, Tennessee, 4 step-grandchildren; Amanda Rutherford of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Ashley Mason of Manchester, Tennessee, Brian Myers of Manchester, Tennessee, and Cindy Myers of Manchester, Tennessee, 12 great-grandkids; special niece; Diane Lewis, Special Friends; Steve Patterson and Ann. James was a member of the Pocahontas Church of Christ. He was an avid accomplished championship raccoon hunting dog breeder, attending and winning annual St. Jude Children’s hospital benefit in Parsons, Tennessee raccoon hunting events since the 70’s, taking home several plaques, water racing dogs, and enjoyed fishing.

Barbara “Brenda” Sue Sewell
Barbara “Brenda” Sue Sewell, 54, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away
on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her residence. Memorial services will be
scheduled at a later time.
Brenda, the daughter of the late James and Virginia Wells was born in
Sevierville, TN on November 26, 1961. She enjoyed flower gardening and
writing in her daily journal. She especially loved anything to do with cars.
Her favorite activity was playing with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Sewell of Tullahoma; three sons,
Tyler Ray Loposser of Nashville, Jason Sewell and his wife, Andrea and John
Sewell and his wife, Dee Jay, all of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter, Shasta
Dawn Garst and her husband, Tommy of Sevierville; one brother, James Wells
of Knoxville and seven grandchildren, Mikael Justus, Emily Garst, Julian,
Liliana, Layla, Ezrah and Brandon Sewell.

8/5/16 — Danny Joe Taylor
Danny Joe Taylor, 62, of Tullahoma, passed away on Wednesday, August 3,
2016 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 5,
2016 at 2 PM at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be
from 12 PM until service time at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor, a native of Huntland, was the son of the late Clifford Oscar
Taylor and Rosie Mearse Taylor of Tullahoma. He enjoyed playing with his
nieces and nephews, watching old western movies and fishing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by six brothers, James,
Bud, Horace, Curley, Howard and Johnny Taylor and one sister, Linda Elliot.
In addition to his mother, Rosie Taylor of Tullahoma, he is survived by two
sons, Joe and John and one daughter, Julie; two brothers, Carl and Jerry
Taylor, both of Tullahoma; three sisters, Annie Lou Painter and her
husband, JC of Tullahoma, Margaret Corvin and her husband, Billy of
Tullahoma and Debbie Smith of Fayetteville and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the
memorial fund at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Gerry Lou Bolton passed away August 1, 2016 at her residence. Gerry was born March 31, 1937 to the late Anthony and Elisabeth Smeenk of Vleuten, Netherlands. Preceded in death by a sister; Elisabeth Crocker, and a son; Robert Daniel Bolton. She resided in Manchester, Tennessee, with her husband Daniel Bolton. She is survived by 2 daughters; Barbara Daniels of Manchester, and Christina Grant, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, a son; Frederick Bolton, of Alaska, 7 grandchildren; Brittany Goodwin, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Billy, Beth, and Benjamin Daniels of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Wade Grant, of Manchester, Tennessee, Whalen Grant of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Zach Bolton, of Alaska, 2 sisters; Rika Noggle, Tari Lankerd, both of Michigan, 2 brothers; Bernard Smeenk of Iowa, and Herman Smeenk of Kentucky.

Mr. James E. Bryant, age 71 of Tullahoma, passed away on Sunday, July 31 at
his residence. Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 6,
2016 at 1 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel.
A native of Franklin County, TN, he was the son of the late Homer and Grace
Holiday Bryant. He was a brick mason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carmelita
Bryant; four brothers, Robert, Junior, Lloyd and Paul Bryant and one
sister, Janie Hill.
He is survived by three brothers, Gordon Bryant and his wife, Barbara of
FL, George Bryant and his wife, Pam of FL and Gene Bryant and his wife,
Shirley of NC and several nieces and nephews.

7/31/16 — Annie Bell Hesselbein
Annie Bell Hesselbein was born December 6, 1944, in Blytheville,
Arkansas. Annie passed away on July 28, 2016. Preceded in death by her
husband; Rev. Paul F. Hesselbein, a sister; Louetta Malin, and 2
brothers; Eddie Wilson and Calvin Gray. She is survived by her mother;
Helen James-Wilson of Scotts Hill, Tennessee, 2 daughters; Manissa
Hesselbein-Smartt, and LaBreska Hesselbein, 2 sons; Kent and Christopher
Hesselbein, 4 grandchildren; Hannah and Rachael Smartt, Aaron Hesselbein,
and William Bowen, a great-grandchild; Asher Bowen, 2 brothers; Delmar
Gray and Victor Wilson.
VISITATION: Saturday, July 30, 2016, 3 until 6:00 P.M.
FUNERAL: Sunday, July 31, at 2:00 P.M.
BURIAL: Forest Mills Cemetery immediately following service.

8/1/16 — Hallie Ruth Henderson Harden
Hallie Ruth Henderson Harden, age 67, of Mulberry, TN passed away on July 27, 2016 at St. Thomas Mid-Town Hospital in Nashville TN.
She was born on July 19, 1949 to the late Robert and Mattie Lou Whitaker Henderson.
A member of the Elm Street church of Christ, she was retired from the Moore County school system. Hallie enjoyed shopping, church activities, and eating at Burger King.
She is survived by her daughter, R. Rochelle Harden of Mulberry, and grand-daughter, Jimerea Koch and her husband, Matt; special friend, Paul Qualls, and Goddaughter, VaTonya Dixon. In addition to her parents, Hallie Ruth was preceded in death by husband, William Henry Harden and son, Vincent Harden.
Visitation with family members will begin at noon Monday August 1, 2016 at Lynchburg Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cemetery. Chris Whitaker will officiate.
7/29/16—Milton Smith
Smith, Milton C., of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, July 27th,
2016 at his residence at the age of 94. Mr. Smith was born in Moore
County to the late David and Ellen Counts Smith. During his life he
worked in the Waste Water Treatment Facility at A.R.O. and was a former
Deacon at Lincoln Heights Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his wife Evonne Smith; and two sisters, Ruby
Chapman and Grace Noles. Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Connie
Neal and her husband Jerry of Tullahoma; three grandchildren, Vicki
Baucum and her husband Tres of Crossville, Debbie Christian and her
husband T.J. of Lynchburg, and Josh Neal of Nashville; and four great
grandchildren, Mason, Zeke, Dakota, and Dalton. Visitation for Mr. Smith
will be held on Thursday, July 28th, 2016 at Kilgore Funeral Home from
5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29th, 2016 at
11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with John Ben Neal and Randall
Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Lynchburg City Cemetery.

7/30/16 — Terry Wayne Brawley
Terry Wayne Brawley, age 68 of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away on July 24, 2016. He was a beloved brother, loving son, uncle, great-uncle, Navy veteran, and member of the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Terry played fullback for the Red Raiders at Coffee County Central High School. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. After college, Terry completed Navy Aviation Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a Navy Ensign. He was selected for and completed pilot training and was designated as a naval aviator. Terry completed advanced flight training in the P-3 Orion and was assigned to Patrol Squadron 49 (VP-49) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. He deployed with VP-49 to Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland and Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily and completed six years of naval service. While in the Navy, Terry earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Jacksonville University. He later enrolled in law school at the University of Memphis. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, the late JD Brawley and Vera Jean Brawley. He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Patra B. Temple (Charles) of Collierville, TN, Robert L. Brawley, MD (Martha) of Columbus, OH, Deborah B. Lovely of Cordova, TN, Melinda B. Khazeh (Kashi) of Salisbury, MD and Greg M. Brawley (Darci) of Newport Beach, CA; nine nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
VISITATION Friday, July 29, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home.
