10/8/16–Marvin Murray Momo Moore

Marvin Murray “MOMO” Moore was born April 23, 1933 to the late Thomas
Murray and Alma Ila Scroggs Moore of Hayesville, North Carolina. Marvin
“MOMO” and Ruth “Ann” Cooke Moore married and resided in Hillsboro,
Tennessee. He worked at the Aero Space Research Center as a Facility Test
Craft Supervisor before retirement. After retiring, he was very active in
the Manchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Manchester, Tennessee.
He was a custom sawyer and owner of “MoMo’s sawmill in Hillsboro,
Tennessee. He enjoyed helping people when they were in need and spending
time with friends and especially family. He was preceded in death by 2
brothers; James and Paul Moore. “MoMo” is survived by his loving wife
“Ann” of 60 years, 3 children; Stan and (Laura) Moore of Dacatur,
Alabama, Thomas and (Debbie) Moore of Hillsboro, Tennessee, Lori and
(James) Carothers of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 5 Grandchildren;
Christopher and (Katie) Moore of Madison, Alabama, Jonathan and (Katlyn)
Moore of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Nathan and Rachel Carothers of
Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Seth Moore of Hillsboro, Tennessee, 3
Great-Grandchildren; Natalie Moore, Ava Moore, and Charlotte Moore,
Sister-In-Law; Sandy Strickland, Brother-In-Law; Wade Strickland, nieces,
nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the

10/6/16 — Myrtle Mae Swinney

flower 16Myrtle Mae Swinney was born November 25, 1925 to the late Carl and Lela Pyle of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. The late Charles Swinney of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Myrtle were childhood sweethearts throughout school. After being married in Oklahoma, they moved and resided in Manchester, Tennessee. Myrtle was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Manchester. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was an outstanding cook and known for her pecan pies, egg nog pies, and German Chocalate Cakes were top shelf. She was a mother of a 1988 Olympic Shooting Team Member, Scott Swinney. She wanted her son to play the piano but her husband, Charles B. Swinney, introduced and supported their son in competitive shooting. Myrtle is survived by her son Scott Swinney. Preceded in death also by 2 brothers; Joe and Bill Pyle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the First Baptist Church, Manchester, Tennessee in the memory of Myrtle Swinney.

flower 23Funeral services for Lillian Gertude Snare, age 82 of Manchester, will be conducted on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Manchester City Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Mrs. Snare passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Snare was born on September 30, 1934 to the late Robert Rust and Annie Mae Spry. She was a member of New Union Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, James Smart; her second husband, Amund Snare; brother, Robert Darrell Rust; sister, Zora Mae Rust. Survived by her step-daughters, Janice Snare and Phyllis Willis; grandchildren, Terri Ulatowski (Edward), Paul April (Dora), Michelle April; great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Mason and Exavire.

buttercup flowerGraveside Services for Mr. Lloyd Herman Brown, age 74 of Manchester, will be conducted at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Graveside Service will take place at 2:00 PM in Bradley Cemetery in Erin, Tennessee. Mr. Brown passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Unity Medical Center of Manchester, Tennessee.

Mr. Brown was born on June 26, 1942 in Colorado to the late William and Elizabeth Brown. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He worked for Peterbilt as a mechanic until retirement. He enjoyed playing guitar and being surrounded by his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Brown; his brother, Clyde Brown. Survived by his step-sons, Keith Raney and wife Donna, Kevin Raney and wife Jamie, Jeremy Brown, Austin Brown, Matthew Brown; step-daughters, Laura Monroe and husband Terry Bennett; 1 brother, Charlie Brown and wife Juanita; 3 sisters Norma Cox and husband Fred, Mary Richards and Margaret Beck; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

10/5/16 — Stephen L. Douglas

funeral flowerStephen L. Douglas, age 71, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016
surrounded by his wife and daughters. Steve was born August 3, 1945 in
Franklin, Kentucky to Howard Brice Douglas and Wally Chitwood Douglas who
both preceded him in death. He grew up in Greenbriar, Tennessee where he
spent his youth doing just about every job available in his father’s
grocery store, Douglas IGA. He graduated from Greenbriar High School in
1963. Steve then attended Middle Tennessee State University from 1963 to
1965 before proudly serving in the United States Air Force from 1965
until 1969. He reported to the Base Commander, specializing in locating
enemy combatants using aerial photographs during the Vietnam War. While
in service to his country he married his college sweetheart, Susan
Wilson, in Tullahoma, Tennessee in 1967 where they would eventually make
their home. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force he returned
to MTSU where he graduated with honors in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science
in Business Administration. Reflecting on his time as a Boy Scout and
further distinction as an Eagle Scout, Steve would eventually serve as
Chairman of the Boy Scouts of America Tullahoma Council. During his life
he was a member of the Tullahoma Rotary Club, Lakewood Golf and Country
Club and was a former member of First Baptist Church, Tullahoma and a
current member of First United Methodist Church, Tullahoma. For years he
contributed to the Toys 4 Tots program, which was an experience he shared
with his daughters. Closest to his heart was his annual donation to the
Chaplain at the Fort Campbell, Kentucky Army post. The donation was given
each Christmas and his letter asked the Chaplain to use the donation to
his discretion. It was always used to support the family of a service
member sent abroad, and ultimately allowed the soldier’s spouse and
children to travel from the base to be with their family during the
holidays. In Tullahoma, he worked at First Federal Savings & Loan. He
then became President and CEO of United Guarantee Savings and Loan.
Later, he founded his own business, Douglas Appraisal Service where he
completed over 30,000 home and land appraisals. Steve also loved teaching
night classes in real estate at Motlow State Community College. Steve was
preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronnie and Mike
Douglas. He is survived by his loving wife, who he adored, Susan Wilson
Douglas; daughter Brooke Douglas Thompson (Greg) of Brentwood, TN,
daughter Ashley Douglas Rossi (Tom) of Carrollton, TX; grandchildren
Audrey & Will Thompson and Jack & Alex Rossi. Visitation will be held
Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with a
funeral service to immediately follow at Kilgore Funeral Home, 215
Mitchell Blvd., Tullahoma, TN, 37388. There will be a private family
burial held later. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to
the Fort Campbell Fisher House at 652 Joel Drive, Fort Campbell, KY 42223
or online at www.fortcampbellfisherhouse.org and include “in memory of
Stephen L. Douglas” on your donation.

10/4/16 — David Herman Pauli

flower 16David Herman “Dave” Pauli was born February 13, 1954 to the late Walter
H. and Pauline Winnett Pauli. Dave was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He was a giving, caring, fun loving person who loved his country. Dave
grew up in Hillsboro, Tennessee and absolutely loved country living and
the people. He had nicknames for everyone. In his later years, he moved
to Cookeville, and made several close friends there also. Most of all,
Dave enjoyed and loved his family and life. He is survived by 3 children;
Karen McCullough, Amanda Pauli and (Bryan) Gill, and Andrew Pauli, 3
Grandchildren; Matthew McCullough, Lily and Ashley Gill, a sister; Joni
Pauli and (Roy) Carroll, a brother; Bob and (Cindy) Pauli and numerous
nieces, nephews, and friends.

10/5/16 — David Wade Cagle

flower 4David Wade Cagle age 66 of Monteagle passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016, at The Waters of Winchester. He was a son of the late James Thomas Cagle and Robena Thomas Cagle MaGouirk.

Survivors include his step-father, James “Red” (Dorothy) MaGouirk; sister, Mary Elizabeth (Al) Ludwig and her children and grandchildren, Tommy, Kerry, Tasha, Tonya and Kasey; sister, Pam (Jamie) Rogers, sister, Robin MaGouirk, sister, Vickie (Bill) Thomas, sister, Tina Prince (Joe Petty); several nieces and nephews including Bridgett, Peyton, Blake, Payton, and Cecily.

A Celebration Of Life service will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Glen Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home. flower 13Funeral services for Mr. Nolan Anderson, age 87 of Beechgrove, will be conducted on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Elder Virgil Alford and Brother Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Wiser Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Anderson passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Anderson was born on June 25, 1929 to the late Horace and Bessie Harmon Anderson. He was of the Baptist faith and was known throughout the community for his love of coon hunting. He enjoyed farming, riding his four-wheeler and cutting wood. He truly lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Crocker Anderson; his son, Noel Keith Anderson; his brothers, Bennett Anderson and Claude Anderson; his sisters, Christine Anderson and Annie Ruth Trail. Survived by his son, Horace Lee Anderson and Debbie Herrin; his daughters, Anita Alford and husband Virgil, Kathy Roberts and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Alisha, Amanda, Joshua, Jordan, Will, Cohen, Keith, Katrina; great-grandchildren, Penelope, Oliver and Dakota; numerous nieces and nephews.

flower 11Eva Nell Richards, age 88, a resident of Tullahoma (Moore County), TN
passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her residence. Funeral Services
are scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 2 PM at the
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Lambert and Bro. Bill
Rhoton officiating. Burial will follow at Estill Springs Cemetery.
Visitation
with the family will be Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 5 – 8 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

A native of Tullahoma, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Clifford and
Manerva Swanson Sullivan. Mrs. Richards worked as an inspector for Wilson
Sporting Goods for several years and then became a cook for the Moore
County School system. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in
Tullahoma. She loved to cook and was very involved with her church,
teaching Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed tending her gardens and
loved flowers. Most important to her was her family and her home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twelve brothers
and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Richards of Tullahoma (Moore County);
two sons, Darrel Richards and his wife, Sherry of Lynchburg and Doug
Richards and his wife, Debra of Tullahoma; one daughter, Durinda Hale of
Tullahoma; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

10/1/16—Jimmy Wayne Meadows

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Wayne Meadows, age 75 of Morrison will be
conducted at 3pm, Saturday, October 1 at the Manchester Funeral Home
Chapel with Aaron Barrett and Jody Campbell officiating. Burial will
follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as
pallbearers. Visitation with the Meadows family will be Saturday from
10am until service time at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Meadows passed
this life Thursday, September 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his
loving family.

Mr. Meadows was born in Coffee County, Tennessee the son of the late
Charlie Winton Meadows and Zeta Erlene Pedigo Meadows. Mr. Meadows was a
lifelong farmer and was a graduate of Coffee County Central High School.
He loved telling stories and farming his land. In addition to his
parents, Mr. Meadows was also preceded in death by two sisters, Martha
June Meadows Parkhurst and Dorothy Anita Meadows Broadway and by a
granddaughter, Stephanie Fowler. He leaves to cherish his memory:
