11/13/16 — Johnnie Lynn Bradford
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Lynn Bradford, age 56, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Manchester Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Blanton Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM. Mrs. Bradford passed away November 10, 2016 at Vanderbilt Hospital.
Ms. Bradford was born in Florida, the daughter of F. M. and Eva Gay King. She was a member of Altamont Baptist Church. She loved reading books. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Gay King. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Marshall Bradford; daughter, Brittney (PJ) Sankolewicz; son; James Marshall Bradford II; beloved grandson, William Bradford Sankolewicz; father, F.M. King; brother, Joe (Donna) King; four sisters, Reina (Bobby) Shanks, Robin Miller, Karen (Rob) Parke, and Loretta Murdock, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ms. Ernestine Martin Scott, age 84, of Manchester will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Manchester Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Shady Grove Cemetery. Ms. Scott passed away on November 7, 2016 at her home. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Ernestine was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late George Ernest Martin and Mae A. Harmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Harlie Scott; three brothers, Ed Martin, Ralph Martin, and James Martin; and two sisters, Nancy Sherrill and Anna Mae Rogalle. She is survived by her son, Wesley Scott; brother, Howard (Olene) Martin; sister, Mary West; grandchild, Shaun Scott; and great-grandchild, Julissa Mae Scott.

11/13/16 — Michael Joseph Dorak
Graveside services for Mr. Michael Joseph Dorak, age 64, of Manchester,
TN, will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Rose
Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation with the family
will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday evening at Coffee County
Funeral Chapel. Mr. Dorak passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at VA
Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Michael was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the son of the late Michael J. and
Jean R. Jones Dorak. He served his country in the United States Army,
where he was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Michael was a
member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and enjoyed boating, fishing,
shooting guns, and loved to walk 5 miles every day. He loved his family
and his dog, Buddy.
In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by one
brother, Jack Dorak; and one sister, Dorothy Lund Sweeney. He is
survived by two sons, Michael (Natalie) Dorak and Jake (Katie) Dorak; one
daughter, Marie Dorak; one sister, Mary Jean Dowe; and four
grandchildren, Carla, Michael, Lucas and Ryan Dorak.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

11/11/16 — John Martin Gordon
Funeral services for Mr. John Martin Gordon, age 90 of Manchester, will
be conducted on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Coffee County
Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in
Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive
friends on Friday prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
Mr. Gordon passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Mr. Gordon was born on October 21, 1926 to the late Arthur and Efale
Gordon. John was a member of First United Methodist Church in Manchester.
He was a WWII veteran, serving in the United States Army. Mr. Gordon
enjoyed spending time gardening and being in the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by his first
wife, Willie Mae Gordon and his second wife, Gloria Gordon. Survived by
his son, Mark Gordon and wife Lela; his daughter, Denise Gordon;
grandsons, Mark Gordon II, Matthew Gordon and wife, Jill.

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Haley Hollis, age 81, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Hollis family will be from 12:00 Noon until time of services at the funeral home. Mrs. Hollis passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the late James Walter and Myrtle Shelton Haley. She was a homemaker, who had a warm and loving heart and will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Hollis was married to her husband for 63 years. Their pride and joy was their family and friends. Together, they enjoyed a long retirement while researching family history, reading, gardening, and going on Hollis’ famous road trips.
In addition to her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her husband, Elliehue “Hollis” Hollis, Jr.; one son, Jeffrey Wayne Hollis; one grandson, Jason Hollis Armstrong; and siblings, James “Buddy” Earl Haley and Wilma Haley Holly. She is survived by her sister, Sue Haley Foster; daughters, Cathy Hollis McKee and Karen Hollis Armstrong; grandchildren, James Daniel Armstrong, Bobbi Jo Hollis Chesser and husband, Josh, John Cory McKee and wife, Lena, Brandi Nicol Armstrong and partner, Brittaney Hilleson, Rebecca Morris and husband, Jeremy, and Alec Ian McKee; great grandchildren, Skylar Rain Morris, Jayden Kian Morris, Jason David Chesser, Rylan Jackson Chesser, Cara Reece Chesser, and Asa Alexander McKee.

SERENITY SHAYNE “SISSY” SHORT, age 19, departed this life on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Serenity was born on August 22, 1997, in Tullahoma, Tenn. to Jeffery Lynn Short and Harmony Underwood Short. Serenity attended school in Moore County. She loved the outdoors. Her favorite hobbies were camping, fishing and horseback riding.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Deborah Hereford and Maternal step-great-grandfather, Willie Weir.
She is survived by her mother, Harmony Cross and husband, George of Flintville, Tenn., father, Jeffery Short and wife, Elizabeth of Tullahoma, Step-father, Charles Ray Brady of Tullahoma, Paternal Grandparents, Bill and Shirley Carden of Beech Grove, Tenn. Maternal Great-Grandmother, Eunice Weir of Flintville, Tenn., Maternal Grandfather, Samuel Underwood of Winchester, Maternal Step-Grandfather, William McMahan of Tullahoma, sisters; Destiny (Tyler) Creson, Mackenzie Short, Elizabeth Brady all of Tullahoma and Layla Bundy of Morrison, brothers; Chance Gibson of Manchester, Tristan Short, Jake, Dustin, Marcus and Dalton Brady all of Tullahoma.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until Service time at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, in the Chapel of Grant funeral services.
Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Tullahoma.

Memorial services for Mr. James “Jim” W. Thompson, Jr., age 86 of Manchester, will be conducted on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home with Brother Charles Williams officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Mr. Thompson passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at NHC Tullahoma.
Mr. Thompson was born on April 25, 1930 to the late James W. Thompson, Sr. and Mildred Thompson. He was a member of New Union Church of Christ. Mr. Thompson was retired from AEDC where he was the Director of Instrumentation and Controls.
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Thompson; sons, Kevin Thompson (Mary Ann) of Manchester, Keith Thompson (Kristen) of Nashville, Brian Thompson (Beth) of Cookeville; daughters, Terri Long (Carlton) of Manchester, Connie Ford (Russell Medwyk) of Arizona; sister, Shirley Napier (J.B.) of Columbia; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

11/7/16 — Virginia Blanks Lee
Virginia Blanks Lee, 79, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away on Friday,
November 4, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Tullahoma. Funeral
Services are scheduled for Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2 PM at the First
Presbyterian Church with Pastor Stephen Yates officiating. Burial will
follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be
Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home from 5 -8 PM.
A native of Chattanooga, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas Ramsey
and Fay Lee Blanks. Mrs. Lee was very active in the Tullahoma community,
serving as a board member of the Learning Place and as the Recycling
Chairman for the Junior Womens Club. She was also a Girl Scout leader and
a member of Harton Hospital Auxillary. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
She sold Avon for many years and many people knew her as “the Avon Lady”.
She was a sweet lady…a Southern Debutante from a different era. She
always
had a smile on her face and welcomed everyone with open arms. Mrs. Lee and
her husband, “O B” were always together and people would recognize them
as
“the beautiful lady with the jet black hair and the man with his cowboy
hat”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother,
Thomas Ramsey Blanks, Jr.
Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband, Oliver Boyd “OB” Lee of Tullahoma;
two
daughters, Debbie Martin and her husband, Ferrell of Palm Coast, FL and
Tina Bonner and her husband, Michael of Tullahoma; six grandchildren, Jimmy
Hawkins and his wife, Leslie of Maryville, TN, Natasha Martin of
Murfreesboro, Ross Bonner and his wife, Julie of Boston, Xenia Martin of
Palm Coast, FL and Seth and Rachel Bonner of Tullahoma and two great
grandchildren, Addison and James Hawkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in
her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4825 Trousdale Drive, Suite 220,
Nashville, TN 37220.

Mr. Harrell was born in Coffee Co., TN, the son of Melvin Bennett Harrell. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Elzie ” Bus” Eady Sr 89, passed November 1, 2016 at his residence in Lynchburg, TN. He was born May 4, 1927 to the late George and Annie Bell Green Eady. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Henderson Eady; son, Elzie Eady, Jr ; sisters, Geneva “Sis” Eady, Francis Childress and Velma Waggoner; brothers,Big Un and Carl Wilson Eady.
“Bus” leaves to cherish his memories:
Daughters- Helen Eady Whitworth, Beverly Harper, Teresa Hartful (David) and Shirley Eady.
Sons – William Harlan Eady, Bill Eady, Howard Eady (Kelly),and Kurt Eady (Meshun).
