2/18/17–Artrice Delaine Saine
Funeral Services for Ms. Artrice Delaine Saine, age 91, of Manchester, Tennessee, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2017 with Brother Charles Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM, Friday, February 17, 2017. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Ms. Saine passed away at her daughter’s residence on February 12, 2017.
Artrice Saine was the daughter of the late Andrew Holland Gold and Mae Barnes Gold. She was an active member of The New Union Church of Christ. Her favorite hobbies were gardening vegetables and flowers and quilting.
In addition to her parents, Artrice was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Norman Saine; son, Gary Saine; brothers, Edward, Andrew C., and Elvis Gold; sister, Beulah Perry; great-great granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Foutch.
She is survived by her brother, Virgil (Phyllis) Gold of Tullahoma; sisters, Janice Medley of Tullahoma, Winona Randolph of Manchester, and Marlene (David) Bice of Tullahoma; her daughters, Juanita (Martin) Haymond and Freda (Steve) Tudor; grandchildren, Mike (Lisa) Saine of New Johnsonville, Robin (Kassie) Saine of New Johnsonville, Teya Lowery of Manchester, Brad (Marsha) Tudor of Manchester, Alisha Roberts of Manchester, Callie Haymond of Manchester, Natalie (Josh) Cropp of Chattanooga, Chris Haymond of Asheville, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Katlyn Boroughs of New Johnsonville, Brittany Saine of New Johnsonville, Izzy Saine of New Johnsonville, Kristen Saine of Murfreesboro, Kelly Saine of Murfreesboro, Ryan Saine of New Johnsonville, Christian Klamer of New Johnsonville, Justin Lowery of Manchester, Kayla (Dale) Foutch of Manchester, Malynne Tudor of Manchester, Makenzie Tudor, Curtis Tudor, and Maggie Tudor of Manchester, Marissa Roberts of Manchester, and Henry Haymond of Manchester; Many nieces and nephews.

2/15/17–John Edgar Spears
John Edgar Spears, age 84, of Ninth Model Community in Manchester, Tennessee, passed away into Eternal Rest on February 12, 2017 at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester.
Mr. John Spears was a farmer all his life. He worked hard on the land, but would enjoy to ride trucks with the hands helping out with the farming. John loved to fox hunt, take care of his horses, mules, and his cats. He will be fondly remembered as one who loved and cared for animals, friends, and family alike. He also found time to be a “TIN Collector.” He would pick up cans from the road every day, all different times of the day. John had so many friends that knew he collected cans and they would drop out there cans for him all the time. He attended the ninth model elementary school and was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. John’s biggest passion in life was his big heart. He loved life. He had so many friends and he loved his family.
John was preceded in death by his parents, the late Edgar Carmack Spears and Martha Frances Sain Spears, a sister, Patricia Ruth Spears Smith and her husband Vanis Ewell Smith, a brother, William Richard “Dick” Spears and his wife Barbara Jane Fults Spears, two nephews, Eugene Smith and Eddie Spears, and a niece, Fran Spears.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Frances Spears Rigsby (Bryce) of Shady Grove Community, a brother, Barry Danny Spears (Mary Elizabeth Templeton Spears) of Ninth Model Community, seven nieces, LaDonna Kim Spears, Lisa Myers, Angela Prater, Lori Whitefield, Michelle Anderson, Dana Rigney, Holly Woodside, four nephews, Jeff Spears, Richard Ewell, Johnny Smith, Harold Rigsby, Jr. and several great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund in Memory of John Edgar Spears.

2/15/17 — Barry A. Blackwell
Barry “PawPaw” A Blackwell of Tullahoma, passed away on Monday, February
13, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare – Harton at the age of 85 years. Funeral
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 2 PM at the
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Maplewood
Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, February 14 from 5
–
8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of Homer, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Wesley Carlis and
Ouida Lynch Blackwell. He was a U S Air Force veteran and worked as a
Computer Technician at AEDC. He was instrumental in wind tunnel and space
shuttle tile testing research. He also loved building electronic equipment.
He would “think it up and then build it”. He liked being outdoors and
enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed going to auto races.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Odessa
Taylor Blackwell; one brother, Carlis Dale Blackwell; one sister, Faith
Yvonne Hughes and one great grandchild, Kaylee Nicole Blackwell.
Mr. Blackwell is survived by two sons, Charles Blackwell (Connie) of Estill
Springs and Jim Blackwell (Debbie) of Tullahoma; daughter, Teresa Kay
Atwell (Ray) of Olla, Louisiana; brother, Joe Lynch Blackwell (Margarett)
of Lake Wylie, SC; sister-in-law, Wilma Blackwell of Manchester; ten
grandchildren, Justin Blackwell (Britney) of Decherd, Heather Fisher (Troy)
of Troy, AL, Megan Moorehead (Rusty) of Lynchburg, Misty Pelham of Estill

2/15/17–Gloria Ann Bush
Funeral Services for Mrs. Gloria Ann Bush, age 68, of Manchester, Tennessee, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 with Brother Roger Comstock officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM, Tuesday. Interment will be held at Fletcher Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Fletcher, Ritchie Fletcher, Tony Anderson, Isaiah Lomas, Phillip Bush, Scott Peterson, and Jeff Bush. Mrs. Bush passed away at Unity Medical Center of Manchester, Tennessee on February 12, 2017.
Gloria was born in McMinnville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late John William Fletcher, Jr. and Nettie Scott. She was a retired employee of Walmart. Gloria was an active member of Church of Christ at Morrison. She cared deeply for her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Bush. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Truman Bush; sons, Randy Scott Bush and Michael Lee (Audra) Bush of Manchester; brothers; Rondell (Faye) Fletcher of Fayetteville, Eddie (Beatrice) Fletcher of Manchester, Johnny (Pat) Fletcher of Lynchburg, and Phillip (Linda) Fletcher of Manchester; sister, Brenda (Marlin) Anderson of Summittville; grandchildren, Blake Ferrell of Manchester, Adele Lomas of Manchester, and Isaiah Lomas of Morrison; special friend, Paul Adcock.

2/13/17–Elizabeth Barbara “Betty” Sipe
Elizabeth Barbara “Betty” Sipe, 96, peacefully passed away on Wednesday,
February 8, 2017 in Coffee County, Tennessee where she lived for the past
5 years. She is a former resident of Pennsylvania and resided in Mt.
Lebanon and Whitehall. Daughter of the late Charles H. and Agnes
Dvorschak Sipe; devoted sister of the late Charles A. Sipe; beloved aunt
of Kevin Sipe and his wife, Sue, who cared for her while living in
Tennessee; loving great-aunt of Daniel Sipe and his wife Christy ,
Matthew Sipe and his wife Hollie, Katie Sipe Neel and her husband Eric;
special great-great-aunt of Emery Sipe, Graham Sipe, Weston Sipe, Sydney
Sipe, Sadie Sipe, Heidi Neel, and Nathan Neel. Betty was a long-time
English teacher at Mt. Lebanon High School, retiring in 1993. At her
request there will be no viewing.

2/25/17–Mary E. Clay
Mary E. Clay, 70, of Virginia Beach VA died peacefully on January 31,
2017 surrounded by love and God’s grace. Born in Alexandria, VA and
raised in Pensacola, FL, she is preceded in death by her mother, Nell
Hardy Avery and her father, James Avery.
Mary was married to Henry L. Clay III in 1965 in Pensacola, FL. Through
his service in the Navy, Mary and Hank lived in Pensacola, FL, Key West,
FL, Monterey, CA, Lakehurst, NJ and finally settled in Virginia Beach,
VA. Mary was a devoted military wife and mother of two. She was an active
member at Thalia United Methodist Church, teaching 4th grade Sunday
school for many years. She was also active in the Windsor Oaks Elementary
PTA and led the neighborhood Brownie Troop. Mary’s commitment to her
community and the local public schools was evident by the hours of
service she volunteered regularly.
In 1985, Mary went to work for Dr. Glenn Owens and Dr. Howard Dorman,
serving as the receptionist and doctor patient liaison of their
orthodontics practice until her retirement. Mary had an infectious smile,
generous spirit, kind and thoughtful disposition and charismatic energy.
She loved people and made everyone around her feel special and loved. She
gave her time and energy to anyone in need. Mary found great joy and
happiness in her grandchildren and modeled a life of compassion and
integrity for them. She adored her friends and family, her life on
Liberty Ridge Road, the beach, her pets, music and singing, watching
sports, travelling, advocating for justice, supporting her children,
sharing her faith, laughing and telling stories. She left the world a
bit better for having been a part of so many people’s lives.
Mary is survived in death by her two daughters, Yvonne Roeder and her
husband, Roland of Chesapeake, VA, and Laura Clay and her spouse, Beth
Barksdale of Germanton, NC; two sisters, Debby Firor and Joyce Green
Smith; two brothers, Jim Avery and John Avery; four grandchildren,
Olivia, Connor, Alex and Kip; five nieces, Melissa, CJ, Heather, Jennifer
Samuels, and Jennifer Avery; seven nephews, Brandon, John, David, Jason,
Joshua, Jeremiah, and Justin.
There will be a Memorial Service in Virginia Beach, VA on February 25,
2017 at Thalia United Methodist Church at 11 am, celebrating the life of
Mary Clay. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer’s
Association.

2/13/17–Catherine Mary Sauers
Catherine Mary Sauers age 78 of Manchester passed away Friday February 10, 2017. A native of Coldwater, Michigan she was the daughter of the late Archabold and Rose Millicici Sauers. She is also preceded in death by a sister; Rose Marie Landwehr and a brother; Steven Earnest Sauers.
Ms. Sauers is survived by two sisters; Margaret Colby of Manchester, Helen (Warren) Smith of Hillsboro, nieces; Ann (Eddie) Carter of Manchester, Sherry Lynn (James) Deans of Ohio, nephews; Jerry (Brenda) Colby, Eric Colby all of Michigan, and several great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Sauers was of the Catholic Faith. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

2/12/17 — David Anthony Haley
Funeral services for Mr. David Anthony Haley, age 72 of Manchester, will be conducted on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brad Brown and Sammy Anderson III officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Mr. Haley passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at St. Thomas Rutherford.
David was born on July 15, 1944 in Cannon County to the late Alonzo and Elvie Haley. He was the minister of Beans Creek Church of Christ for 12 years. He also worked as the General Manager of Summitville Grain and Feed for 38 years. Mr. Haley enjoyed deer hunting and visiting people. David was a hard worker and always knew the right joke to tell to make someone laugh.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Kendell Haley; sister, Mary Teal. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Haley; brothers, Wayne Haley (Helen) of N.C., Jerry Haley; several nieces and nephews.

2/11/17–Arletta Kaye Love
Arletta Kaye Love, age 74 of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born on March 2, 1942 in Newton, Kansas to the late Robert Wilmore and Arletta Arlene Rittgers Wilmore. She was of the Baptist faith, and had a child-like, innocent heart for the Lord. She loved to sing while playing hymns on her accordion. She also enjoyed reading her Bible daily. She enjoyed writing letters and meeting new people. Arletta took joy in simple things and loved living life. Some of her favorite things were playing bingo, crocheting and crafting. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything, and was the perfect example of a mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Love; daughter, Georgia Marcella Love; grandson, Joshua Calvin Pitts. Survived by her son, Vincent Calvin Love (Sonia); daughter, Arletta Jane Pitts (Vincent Kelly); brothers, Robert Wilmore, Benjamin Wilmore (Arla), Dewitt Wilmore; grandchildren, Jimmy Pitts, Justice Pitts, Jennifer Pitts, Christian Love, Jonathan Pitts, and William Love; numerous nieces and nephews; also, a very special friend and lifelong pen pal, Heidi Snyder.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Arletta’s home health nurse, Barbie, and to the CCU staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for their love, care and genuine compassion.
The family will be holding a private memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Arletta Kaye Love.

2/18/17–Cecil Leroy Page
A celebration of life gathering for Mr. Cecil Leroy Page, age 78 of Manchester, will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the hospitality suite at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Page passed away on February 4, 2017 at Unity Medical Center.
Mr. Page was born on March 11, 1938 in Summitville, TN to the late Clarence and Mary Page. He was a member of Summitville Church of Christ. While living in California, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He retired from Hughes Aircraft in California as an engineer at the age of 55. He moved back home to Tennessee in 2007.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Angeline Garsow Page; his brothers, Clarence L. Page, Jr. and Fred Page. Survived by his step-son, Loren Page of California; sister, Donna (Kenneth) Marcom; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
