4/1/17 — Matt Lee Pinegar
Funeral Services for Mr. Matt Lee Pinegar, age 81, of Manchester, Tennessee, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Pinegar passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on March 30, 2017.
Matt Pinegar was born in Coffee County, Tennessee, the son of the late Mart Pinegar and Mrytle Young. He worked for the State Highway Department as a Heavy Equipement Operator. Matt enjoyed farming and raising vegetables. Matt Pinegar will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Matt was preceded in death by his son, Jason Merle; six brothers; six sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra Pinegar; sister, Minnie (Charley) Harrell of Hillsboro; sons, Jimmy Matthew (Goldina) Pinegar of Manchester, Jerry Michael (Cyndi) Pinegar of Manchester, and Jeffrey Mark (Emily) Pinegar of Manchester; daughter, Janice Maureen (Ike) Vanzant of Manchester; four grandchildren, Alycia, Casey, Markus, and Britney; four great-grandchildren, Chanse, Landon, Konor, and Noah.

4/1/17 — Wanda Sue Hale
Wanda Sue Hale of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at
her residence at the age of 61 years old. Funeral Services are scheduled
for Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2 PM with burial to follow at Blanton’s
Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until the
service time.
Wanda was born on December 5, 1955 in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the
late Raymond Lee and Cora Haley Hale. She was a lifelong resident of
Tullahoma, graduating from THS in 1974. She had worked for many years at
SAS, Genesco and T & E Conductivity. She enjoyed taking rides in the
country and looking for deer. She loved her dogs, Sheeba, Pumpkin and
Patch and would take them everywhere she could. She also loved her cat
Peaches.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, William
R, Jimmy Lee, Mike and Thomas R Hale; sisters, Carolyn and Alice Hale;
cousin, Phillip Miller and her 27 year old dog, Curley.
She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Hale and his wife, Shirley of
Lindley, NY; sister-in-law, Durinda Hale of Tullahoma; niece, Jamie Hale of
Tullahoma; nephews, Raymond Lee “Booger” Hale and his wife, Carla of
Hillsboro, Charlie Hale of Hillsboro and Kevin Hale and his wife, Jessica
of Tullahoma; cousin, Debbie Thaxton of Texas; Good friends, Beverly
Thompson, Steven Regan, Brian Gowan, Janice Bell, Alice Cooper and Terry
Mathis and her pets, Sheeba, Pumpkin and Patch, the dogs and Peaches the
Cat.

4/1/17 — Richard Daryl Welch
Richard Daryl Welch, age 48, of Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was born December 9, 1968 in Tullahoma as the son of Gene Maurice Welch and Mary Elizabeth Freeze.
Daryl served in the United States Army and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. He was a coffee county sheriff’s deputy, and his occupation was Homeland Security/EMA Coffee County Officer of Coffee County. He was the first recipient voted to receive the “Hometown Hero” award. Daryl was an avid hunter, fisherman, but most of all he was a family man. His family was the highlight of his life.
Daryl is survived by his wife Tonia Welch. Daryl and Tonia have four children; Colby Welch of Hillsboro, TN, Heather (Tony) Grissby of Manchester, TN, Tyler Cavender of Manchester, TN, and Shelby Cavender of Manchester, TN, two brothers; Mark Welch of Manchester, TN, and Clay (Karan) Welch of Dover, TN, two sisters; Sarah Welch and Christina Cabrio, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Daryl Welch Fund at the Coffee County Bank.

4/1/17 — Eugene Elmer Walter
Funeral services for Mr. Eugene Elmer Walter, age 74, of Hillsboro, TN,
will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Coffee County
Funeral Chapel with Bro. Brandon Stutts officiating. Burial will follow
in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 PM
until 9:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Walter passed
away at his residence on March 28, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Eugene was born in Cincinnati, OH, the son of the late George and Rose
Osner Walter. He was previously employed in sales at Oxygen Plus and was
a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church, where he served in the music
ministry. Eugene loved to fish and watch Nascar. In the 1980s, Eugene
and James Mahaffey organized Normandy Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his
mother-in-law, Leedom Swoape; sister-in-law, Brenda Uselton; and
brother-in-law, Ted Carter. Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 29
years, Rosie Walter; four children, Rose Chandler, Karen Thomas, Eugene
F. Walter and Christina Tesche; eight brothers and sisters, Sandy Rose,
Helen Rhodus, Robert (Gloria) Walter, Gerri (Leroy) Hoff, Connie (Arvil)
Hayes, Paul (Theresa) Walter, Mary (Brian) Straubb, and Jacqueline (Mark)
Mergo; six grandchildren, Samantha, Tiffany, Rochelle, RJ, Shane, and
Isaac. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Ralph Swoape, Sr.;
sister-in-law, Jeannie Carter; brother-in-law, Ralph (Gina) Swoape, Jr.;
and many nieces and nephews.

4/1/17–Dosha McDaniel
Dosha Anne Waye McDaniel, passed this life on Sunday, March 26th, 2017 at NHC in Tullahoma at the age of 98. Mrs. McDaniel was born on February 22nd, 1919 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Albert and Minnie B. McCormick Waye and was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene in Tullahoma. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband, James Ernest McDaniel; eight brothers and sisters; one son, Lt. Col. Joseph McDaniel Sr., and one granddaughter, Molly Whitt. She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Curl of Atlanta, Judy Burger and her husband Ken of Murfreesboro, and Jane Tipton and her husband Mickey of Tullahoma; one sister, Dorothy Jean Waye; grandchildren, Joseph H. McDaniel Jr. and his wife Caroline, Michelle Stenhouse and her husband Martin, Herryn Wenhyrnowicz and her husband Diomir, Shannon Dowdy and her husband Gregory, Neil Frassrand, Dawn Martin and her husband James, Claire Perkins and her husband Jared, and Chistian Burger; great-grandchildren, Payton, Garrett, Kyndel, Jaeden, Ryn, Jacob, Zachary, Tyler, MaKayla, Brittany, Joshua, Kristin, Madison, Ella, and Miller; and two great-great-grandchildren, Grace Ann and Mac. Visitation for Mrs. McDaniel will be held on Friday, March 31st, 2017 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2017 at 3:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Jack Hice and Richard Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. 4/1/17 — Robert Austin Jernigan, Jr.
“A Time of Remembrance” for Mr. Robert Austin Jernigan, Jr., age 60, of Wartrace, Tennessee, will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Concord Baptist Church at 3PM. Mr. Jernigan passed away at his home on March 18, 2017.
Robert Jernigan, Jr. was born in Manchester, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert A. Jernigan, Sr. and Mary E. Lusk. He served his country in the United States Army and National Guard. Robert worked as a self-employed construction worker. He will always be remembered for his love for his family.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his step-dad, William “Bill” Miller; brothers, Bobby & Danny Jernigan; sisters, Faye Luke, Carol Ann Jernigan, Charolette Elaine Jernigan. He is survived by his brother, Timothy Jernigan of Ohio; son, Brandon Lee Jernigan from Texas; daughters, Amy Elaine Carter (James) of Tullahoma, Kijia “Lynn” Carter (Lonnie) of Tullahoma, and Amanda Nicole Wolford (Matt) of Mount Juliet; seven grandsons; one great-grandson.

3/28/17–Anthony Wayne Reynolds
Graveside services for Mr. Anthony Wayne Reynolds, age 67 of Chapel Hill, will be conducted on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. at Blanton Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel prior to going in procession to the graveside service. Mr. Reynolds passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. Thomas Rutherford.
Wayne was born on September 29, 1949 in Woodbury to the late Ernest and Dorothy Reynolds. In earlier years, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Mr. Reynolds was a United States Air Force veteran. He loved reading and watching Fox News.
Survived by his sisters, Cathy Plymale (Jim), Delores Koger (Jimmy); step-daughter, Tonya Byrd (Terry); step-granddaughter, Kaytlyn Byrd; special aunt, Eva Ann Green (Bob); special nieces, Renee Williams (Wendell), Tammy Shipley (Scott); and many friends.

3/25/17-Nancy Abigail Phelps
Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Abigail Phelps, age 94, of Manchester,
TN, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Coffee
County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday,
March 24 at the funeral home. Mrs. Phelps passed away at her residence
on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the late Raymond M. and
Dedie Herrell Rigney. She retired after 25 years of service at Genesco
as a seamstress. She loved cooking, spending time with her family, and
attending church at Westwood Church of Christ, where she was a member.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was also preceded in death by her
husband, Owen Phelps; one grandson, Johnny “JJ” Prosser; one
granddaughter, Barbie Prosser; two sisters, Evelyn Rigney and Jean Elrod;
and one brother, Hoyt Rigney. She is survived by one daughter, Tammy
Phelps Mann of Manchester; one grandson, Chris (Amanda) Prosser of
Pelham, AL; two great granddaughters, Brianna Prosser of Manchester and
Chloe Prosser of Pelham, AL; four great grandsons, Christopher, Caleb,
Cason and Christian Prosser, all of Pelham, AL; one brother, Ewin L.
(Betty Jo) Rigney of Manchester; one sister, Helen (Wayne) Haley of
Winston-Salem, NC; one sister-in-law, Suzanne Mathews Rigney of Niles,
MI; one brother-in-law, Clarence Phelps of Manchester; and several nieces
and nephews.

Dorothy Dean Lightfoot was born March 20, 1933, in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Connell Jack and Maggie Lou Byrom Grubbs. Mrs. Lightfoot was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, dancing, writing music, drawing, and working in the yard watching her birds. Mrs. Lightfoot was a very talented, creative lady. Preceded in death by three sons; Arthur Lightfoot Jr., Steven Lightfoot, and Chris Lightfoot, two sisters; Wilma Jean Damron and Doris Hasty McGowen, and two brothers; Curtis Grubbs and Don Grubbs. Survived by one daughter; Vonette C. (Donald) Holloway of Winchester, TN, three sons; Quinn (Shelia) Lightfoot of Estill Springs, TN, Stacy Lightfoot of Estill Springs, TN, and Tracy (Helen) Lightfoot of Estill Springs, TN, five grandchildren; Maggie Huggin of Winchester, TN, David Hastings of Spencer, TN, Dottie, Gina, and Quincy Lightfoot, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five sisters; Macon Hunt, Linda Cowan, Diane Alford, Rita Wright, and Delilah Grubbs, one brother; Curtis Grubbs, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
